Marriott Grand Residence Club, Lake Tahoe Review

Excellent location with great Marriott service. Right in the heart of heavenly village with great restaurants and attractions. Very good concierge service as well.

Very clean and cozy. They are fully equipped in their kitchen and in general. The location is excellent because at the entrance of the hotel are the gondolas to ascend the mountain and the snow slopes. They are very cozy to be with family and the price actually made me very very economical. Restaurants nearby and supermarket to have the kitchen and the fridge equipped. They have washer and dryer too. I recommend them 200%. I will always return.

Had a two room suite and it was amazing! Rest room, helpful staff, local restaurants are great. My favorite place to stay in Tahoe.

Don't expect much from the bell staff, go straight to the front desk and they will make sure you're all set. Property is great, it's just nice to not have to get in a car. Lots of activities for kids and adults which makes it just a very nice place to chill for the week...

I have stayed several times. Reading the reviews people should realize the rooms in the hotel are not uniform. They are in general large rooms and almost all are suites. The pool is first rate. If possible get a room away fro Highway 50 and preferably facing the inner quad. Almost all suites have balconies and nobody wants to sit looking at Highway 50. Its also noisy.

this hotel was humming on a busy sunday afternoon and still provided A+ customer service! super clean, friendly workers, and location is in the heart of lake tahoe. many restaurants, stores, and hangout spots by here.

Gorgeous location, well kept facilities, and friendly staff members. a huge storm raged all weekend with extreme rain and winds but it was such a wonderful place no one seemed to care!

It's a great experience. The pool and the hot tub were sublime. The rooms were excellent. The parking sucks though and very expensive.

This hotel is fabulous. We stayed in alot of Marriot hotels on our trip and this was by far the best. The rooms are huge! Really comfortable and the king suite had everything you could need. The best part was the fridge had an ice maker/ water dispenser in the door! The pool and hot tub looked great but we didn't get to use it unfortunately. The staff are really friendly. Valet parking $29/day but that's normal to pay anywhere. The only thing I missed were bathrobes, I think they were forgotten in our room. I'd definitely recommend this as a really great hotel to stay at. Close walking distance to restaurants too.

Location, location, location- plus Marriott quality. How can one lose?

Tacos and Tequila (actually margaritas but yum). Stayed next door at the Timber Lodge (thanks folks!).

Very conveniently located near the Gondola, makes it very easy to get up and return from the mountain. Marriott offers free ski valley to the guests. Check out the daily activities. They offer intertanement for kids and adults. Dance class with Alejandra is a must. Complimentary wine tasting in the lobby, etc. Amenities are not top of the line, however everything is in the working order and clean. Same goes about the kitchen/kitchenette. Planty of good restaurants within walking distance. The area is pretty, nice atmosphere of a ski village.

Love this place. We go once a year and it is always first class.

Great rooms for a family and close (as in walking distance) to every amenity you could want in Lake Tahoe. The rooms are modern, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The rest of the facilities are also great!

Right next to the heavenly gondola, rooms are very spacious, well equipped kitchen. Valet parking is a bit hectic during check-in.

Centrally located with ample amusements within walking distance: cinema, restaurants, shops, market, and ski lift. Our accomodations were comfortable, cozy, and quiet.

Nice rooms, good services. Outside pool great. Right next to Godona lift for Heavenly. Grocery and casino within walking distance too.

Good clean room with nice amenities. However, this is the first hotel/resort I have ever stayed at that makes you pay to park your car - $29/day valet parking. Go there for a week and end up paying over $200 just for parking your vehicle. So beware! I would have given them 5 stars if they didn't exploit lack of free public parking in the area.

clearly one of the best hotels in the Lake Tahoe area the grand residence by Marriott is huge and the rooms are very spacious and accommodating. There is lot of things to do when in the hotel such as a ski lift pools spa room hot tub and other activities for you and your family. The service here is high quality service as the staff members are very courteous friendly and welcoming they make sure that you are having a great stay with their wonderful full-service that they provide. Although there are other hotels and cabins that you can visit and stay at when you are at Lake Tahoe I strongly believe and recommend for people to come and stay at Grand residence since it has a beautiful ambience and is extremely convenient for its location and the amenities that the hotel offers. I will definitely come back and stay at the Grand residence when I find myself in Lake Tahoe again in the future

I don't understand the bad reviews. This is one of the nicest properties in all of Lake Tahoe. I have stayed at the Marriott in South Lake Tahoe many times. The rooms are large and clean. The property is very well kept. I never heard any significant amount of noise in the hallway unless I opened the door out to the hall.

During one stay, I did have some college students partying across the hall, but once my front door was closed, I could no hear them, so no big deal.

The pool is heated and nice in both he spring and summer. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Staying at this properties is one of the nicest places I have stayed anywhere.

We had a AMAZING stay. We wish we had longer time to visit missed out on the zippline which would of Made our weekend untouchable.

Great staff. Excellent location that is basically walking distance to everything Tahoe has to offer. Close to Raleys supermarket, the cinema, shops, restaurants and casinos. The heated swimming pool and jacuzzi is awesome after a long day on the slopes. 24 hour indoor gym has decent up to date equipment and free disposable headphones! Rooms are comfortable, kitchenette is well stocked. A great experience. Will return again.

The layout of the apartment is perfect for families. It was really nice to have a fireplace and Whirlpool tub in one of the bedrooms. The den was very comfortable and also had a fireplace. The only complaint is the flames barely are there.

Working Here on a Upholstery Job, been here for about 3 months the Job is almost over and there Funiture is looking Great!!!

Extremely clean rooms, great views, excellent shops and food within walking distance, a theater next door, comfortable beds, nice fire place in the bedroom and living areas and friendly staff.

We stayed in a two bedroom suite. The suite was more than I expected, extremely clean and with great accommodations for my family of 4. The staff was very friendly and provided stellar service. I would like to give an exceptional Kudos to one of the staff personnel, Nicholas Dutra who was extremely professional and provided EXCELLENT customer service. Looking forward to future stays at Marriott s Timber Lodge.

Great location, skiing from downstairs of our room, was able to self park steps from the elevator... Love it!!!

I drove from L.A ..my family ...loved it...it is really nice and clean rooms...parking is a little bit expensive ...but I definitely come back to this place.

Great accommodation by the staff. Walking distance to the casinos and a good variety of restaurants and shops just downstairs from the villas.

Very nice condo style hotel. Had always stayed at Timberlodge next door. Right next to Heavenly gondola. Very up scale. Will definitely stay here again.

Overall enjoyed the stay. The reason not five stars: If your going to charge $29 for valet parking have enough people working to park the cars. Waited more than once 10+ minutes on road to just turn in to loading area. Only other annoying thing was they are not servicing rooms due to covid. I understand they are trying to be safe but part of the enjoyment of hotel stays is not having to clean up after yourself. The room size and amenities were excellent with a full kitchen with utensils. Our room had two sofa/sleepers and a full second bathroom also. Very easy access to restaurants and grocery across the street. Would stay again.

Amazing Hotel with tons of activities and things to do around the area! Would recommend it over the timber lodge since the rooms are a little bigger! Also be sure to check thw gondola website as its closed fairly frequently and theres no refunds due to weather :(

Front desk staff is great. Room is a little noisy. AC makes pulsing noise all night.

Nice, fully equipped apartment style rooms in a time-share property. Rates are too high on weekends, and not worth it for the crowd, unless you're skiing Heavenly, which is very convenient.

Pro tip: parking is very costly at the hotel and in the neighborhood ($20+/day)/valet inconvenientand $29 each night. Park for free (even overnight) at the open and well-lit lots behind Harrah's just across the state line in Nevada. It's a very easy 5-minute paved walk to the hotel. You're welcome.

This is one of the absolute best rooms I've ever stayed at the Ritz/Marriott chain.

Fantastic apartments. Big, clean. We stayed 4, 2 adults and 2 children. Too much for one night. They do not have breakfast but you are surrounded by many shops, bars and supermarkets. It has a very well equipped kitchen although we do not use it.

Really great location, friendly staff and awesome amenities! Had a two bedroom with full kitchen and dining room. Gas fireplaces in the rooms to help keep it warm. Highly recommend the hotel.

What I loved: being close to all the businesses. Beautiful view. The room is very comfortable. I would have no problem living here. What was mediocre: The walk up to my room and the showers. What I disliked: NOTHING!

Had a very nice stay here in July 2019. Staff were super helpful and attentive. The pool was very very crowded even on a Monday. Were only able to get a chair one of the 2 days. Excellent location. The building needs to be updated but it's well cared for.

Very pleasant stay, would recommend to anyone who just wants comfort and a nice place to rest away from home. Definitely will be coming back hopefully longer than one night but was still worth it nonetheless.

I am part of the Marriott Vacation Club and I have stayed here once. The hotel was nice, clean and the staff was helpful. When you go you have to get a hot stone massage it was wonderful!

Beautiful property and great location for skiing heavenly. I have been to both Marriott properties and Timberlodge is more focused on families with smaller children with a activity room and many events. Rooms are kept upto date with frequent remodels. Each room has plenty of room and good kitchen.

Super gangster joint. Could use WiFi enabled tvs but I understand why they don't. Great rooms and great staff.
