Fun day despite minimal snow. Lines at the lifts generally weren't very long. Have been here twice now and still haven't explored the entire mountain yet.
I really wish I timed my visits better with the snowfall!

Not much to say other than the ski conditions are usually pretty good (even considering how much of a warm winter Alberta has been having).
Chairs are fast (besides knobb) so you can get lots and lots of runs in! I would highly suggest coming on a weekday when there aren't a bunch of school groups or families with kiddos coming in -It's almost deserted on the weekdays which is awesome!!

A good ski resort for families and friends. Not too big, not too small. You can see almost all of the skiiable terrain from the main chairlift, so it makes it easy to choose your adventures.

Good little ski resort for families and intermediate skiers. Doesn't get the powder like the BC resorts but is not overly crowded in the week days. No accommodation on the hill but an easy drive up.

A lot of wide open space, so less worrying about crashing if you're still new to ski/board. The snow is always so nice... I go with much more experienced friends (both ski/snowboard) who love this place. Being able to ski or board over to your parking lot space is also excellent. Means you can pre-buy your tickets elsewhere (AMA, Costco, online etc.), and not even go inside the main chalet. For a faster, less crowded eating experience, I'd go to the chalet on the hill to eat instead of the main one at the bottom of the mountain. It's your standard food fare but I found their chilli to be tasty and filling!

The snow and the trails were good, we went there in second week of January.
One of the best things is without doubt how to get from the parking lot to the ticket center, as it is directly connected to a trail.
Prices could be better, but in off-season fair and not overrun.

This mountain is beautiful, not too big but with lots of nice trails. We came on a super cold day, so we spent alot of time warming up in the lodges. We really enjoyed the mid-lodge and the cafeteria was a good call for lunch. We had a veggie burger each and shared fries. They were delicious! The fries were nice and salty and the burgers were flavorful and had that "greasy burger joint" flavor but without the greasiness. Because of the cold weather we didn't have to wait in any lines for tickets or lifts, but couldn't go more than a run or 2 without going in to warm up. We enjoyed the runs, but it was too bad all the new terrain was closed. One of our better decisions that day was parking in the fourth parking lot. It was just a short walk to the nearest run and we were able to ski/board right to our car at the end of the day. I would definitely come again, but maybe later in the season closer to spring.

One of my favorite Alberta ski resorts. The direct lift tickets take the waiting in line for a lift pass out of the equation. Good value in the escape card Marmot offers which can be purchased at local ski shops. Good size mountain for those who are just learning or more experienced skiers and boarders. There is a skills area, slalom area, rock gardens, and a couple bowl areas. Lift tickets are also reasonably priced (cheaper than Sunshine and Lake Louise). They offer single lessons as well as group lessons. You can tailgate in the parking lot for lunch or grab a bit and drink from the various chalets on the hill.

Very underestimated mountain by advanced skiers like myself. The terrain here is amazing and when it has snow it stays because none of the beginners go near it. And if eagles east is open when you go there, get ready for some of the best inbounds skiing in the Rockies. Ask some of the guides if it s your first time they will be happy to point you in the right direction and exited to hear that people are going to these spots. But if you are uncomfortable with big mountain skiing marmot also offers great beginner trails!

Lots of skiable runs and accessible from Edmonton. We usually get up early morning to make first tracks with a stop in Hinton for breakfast. The chalets have plenty of seating space if you go during off hours, and the cafes have a larger selection of food to choose from. My family has adopted a schedule that has coffee/snack at 11:00 and lunch at 1:00, which minimizes wait time. The poutine from the upper chalet is a favorite skiing comfort food. If they ever get rid of the chicken caesar wrap I will protest in the strongest possible ways! The chairlifts have been continuously upgraded, but there are a few relic chairs that are slow, but give you ample time to consider your place in the universe. We love Marmot, have a number of strong Christmas and Spring Break traditions built around it, and I encourage anyone to go!

Beautiful place to visit, I hopped on the hills thought my wax would be good for the cold mountain definitely wasn't. They got my board freshly waxed in the pro shop within 15 minutes and I was back out ready to go. If there was night time boarding or skiing this place would be even better. Lift tickets were 100 for the day pretty standard compared to the other mountains.

My family and I had made a late call the Sunday before family day to make a day trip to the mountain, it was a great day of skiing and a long one! The staff are friendly, I would like to see and just a suggestion that when local Albertans take an Alberta Break a special discount should apply via proof of a Alberta DL. This would be greatly appreciate it by the many thousands of Oilfield families that are experiencing tumultuous times!
Just a Thought

A great mountain for all skill levels. Never waited in line a single time at a chair lift. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because sometimes the level of run was not marked very clear, for a first timer.

With the addition of the new lift lines, wait times are really no more than 7-10 minutes to reach the chair. Even on a busy weekend we have never felt crowded on the hill. I would recommend bringing some of your own snacks as food is a little pricey in the chalet.

We had the pleasure of being the first to enjoy the new fire pit installed at the upper chalet! Great heat is thrown off this new pit. Perfect for an outdoor drink!

Recommend this ski hill to everyone. We all did lessons for a great price. The teacher we patient and helpful. The daycare for my youngest was included with his rental and both boys had lunch included with their lessons and rentals. Recommend to everyone.

Absolutely love coming to this mountain resort!!!! I've had different conditions each time when it comes to the snow but this place is well worth the 5hr drive from Calgary!!! The drive up is spectacular!!! Once you get uptop the mountain you have unbelievable views for miles. We did the joke up to the top one of the peaks and had unreal views down the back side!!!! I love this place, so much terrain and options! Definitely recommend a weekend here for sure!!!

I had a problem with the billing. After talking to the front counter the day before, I felt misled about the pricing. She went to the back and brought a manager out front to talk to me. He understood my concerns and with good customer service looked after me to my satisfaction. The hill was amazing 11 cm and the experience with these customer service gives them a five star

I could not recommend this place enough. There are so many runs for beginners and advanced skiiers/borders that everyone will enjoy the hill. I lost the keys to the car that had all of our stuff for the weekend, the staff looked all over for it and when they could not be found, Rob approached me and got gave me all the info I needed to make the best of the situation. He and the amazingly friendly tow truck driver saved the trip for my friends and I and we can't thank them enough.

I like going to Marmot Basin Alpine Ski Resort because the ski trails are varied enough to challenge all skill levels (and there are lessons available). Plenty of beginner, intermediate and expert trails. There is also a Nordic ski trail (with an ice skating rink) a few minutes drive from Jasper as well. I'd rank the Nordic trail as "easy" to "intermediate". Jasper lodging is not usually overpriced as the tourist crowd mostly goes to Banff in winter. Shop around for discount rates for room + lift ticket packages. Avid Alpine Skiers should look for the "Escape" card to get lift ticket discounts (skimarmot.com). A good family winter destination.

Good ski resort for everyone. Although it is on the small side compared to other resorts in the area. Good groomers and tree runs. Parking area is small so better come early. Food is expensive like most ski resorts ($16 for a burger and a beer). They give you free smores at one of the restaurants.

Lots of runs and many lifts. Chalet has good food, but there is also a microwave if you bring your own lunch. Parking lot is ski out, so lots of people do tailgate parties for lunch. There is a variety of runs, so boarders get powder bowls and skiers groomed runs/moguls, beginers have whole front of mountain, and a skills park for the brave.

Even though it was super busy between Christmas and New years, the multiple quad chairs were up to the task and moved skiers quickly and efficiently. There are tons of runs that span every skill level so there is always somewhere to ski.

Snowboard right to the parking lot. Very convenient. Have lunch at the car instead of a crowded overpriced cafeteria. People have tailgate BBQs here all the time.
Not a lot of bowls that you have to climb out of like Sunshine.

Nice ski/snowboard resort. They have a good learning hill and a variety of other trails ranging from green to double black diamonds. And of course the views ftom the top are stunning.

Nice ski hill for skiing, bathrooms arent kept very clean and are extremely dark. Food and drink are pricey. Staff are friendly and are willing to help new people aswell as offer training and learning sessions. Parking is gong show it is absolute chaos with such a small parking lot.
