Fantastic place with such friendly and helpful staff. The food is amazing and has to be tried. Will definitely return soon

No good hotel food always the same more than fifteen minutes before being able to drink and that for an all inn beach too small etc for me that was a big flop

Upscale hotel right on the marina. Rooms were clean but nothing special. Lousy internet. Nice place to hang out before or after doing a liveaboard.

For divers who are hardly in the hotel anyway it is good. For tourists who want to spend 14 days there a disaster. Nobody speaks German, if something happens you are helpless. No German signs, no German newspaper, internet connection very slow. The rooms are clean and the food is ok. The description that there is a heated pool, is a lie. It should not exist for a long time. The resident cosmetics and barber are incompetent. When I came from cosmetics, my skin was completely over-irritated. The price was also overdrawn. I also had my nails done, I could have completely saved myself the money. The animation was in the evening, in 14 days, 3 times good. During the day, the animation staff were only concerned with themselves.

This lodge is a nice relaxing hotel, with a freezing cold swimming pool, great lunch buffet and upstairs bar, party nights are a must if you are into the late night sessions. You are about 2 minutes walk to the port, this makes it easier for any diving trips you have planned. The lodge is positioned in the middle of nowhere, on the other side of the town so taxi boat or walking is your only options. 1.5 or 2$ or 30 Egyptian pounds. Overall nice place to chill out and relax in the sun all hear long at a low price, but unfortunately the internet is killer, slower then the 90s

The only thing terrible about this lodge is the illegal transactions going on in the local souvenir shops, when you ask for a simple card the local man will overcharge and illegally sell you the SIM which will not work for data, calls or texts. Very disappointed the hotel has not kicked this person out.

It is cleanly, friendly service, no intrusive pushers, Egyptian crap, good plentiful grub. A bit far to the beach, but it can be jumped.

Nice house reef and professional dive shop. Good food with lots of good vegetables and great salad bar. Very friendly staff.

Recommended to go away for a while. Is attractively priced.

I can not understand the bad reviews here compared to other hotels in Egypt - the rooms are large and clean, the staff very helpful and friendly. And the most important thing - the air conditioning works Of course, the charm is rather rustic and here and there should something be repaired. And the food is just as average as elsewhere. For the Marina Lodge is by far the cheapest hotel in Port Ghalib and ideal for a diving holiday, after a great diving center (Emperor Divers) right on the doorstep.

Dated hotel, room could have been a lot cleaner and the staff were awful. Tried charging us extra for things that we didn't have. Only good thing about it was the food at lunch time. Try somewhere else, don't use this hotel!

In the photos and in the description of other guests the hotel seemed to be a direct hit. Not for us. Our holiday started with the unfriendly, stressed receptionist telling us that we had no booking at the hotel. I then showed all my 3 confirmations on the mail. I was narrowly fed, it was not his problem, he could do nothing for me. I argued further and asked the Lord to dial the contact number of our organizer. Instead of speaking to the Lord in Arabic, he again gave me the task of describing my situation. Nothing happened for 90 minutes. Another foreign tour operator in the hotel offered us his help and again dialed the contact number and took over speaking for me. Suddenly after another half an hour you called. Suddenly to the front desk and checked us in quickly. No apology and no explanations. The food in the hotel was okay, nothing unusual. The staff in the gastro area seemed rather dissatisfied as radiant. The only set up were the people from the entertainment center and the people from the independent dive shop. That was our world and we met such lovely people that we call our friends today.

The hospitality is not completely sincere eating is not sweet and the choices are very limited

Wonderful place to start and end a dive tour in the Red Sea. Especially recommended is the wonder bar with free Wi-Fi, delicious food and tasty drinks.

It is reserved for foreigners only because it is an old fashioned model.

Nice hotel. In a calm neighborhood. Food not so varied.

On a "day use" after a diving safari. Took one hour to check in, but only because of heavy inquiry. Finally got the room which are really nice with its oriental atmosphere.
Getting a room service menu was another challenge regarding ordering and time.

Very basic place. Good if you just going to sleep there and go on to do things away from the hotel for the day. Food is mediocre at best. Limited customer service. Staff aren't very friendly. Cleanliness is almost average.

Scuba Centre at the hotel is 5-Star with great staff .. so hotel is sufficient for sleeping when doing day trips with the scuba centre.
