I am surprised to see so many good reviews of UET Lahore. If you are someone looking for quality education and want to be respected as a student avoid this place at all cost. This school is recommended for people with financial constraints or no sense of standard.

Teachers are either too inexperienced to teach or too old with PhD labels to even care about teaching students. Teachers are mostly never on time and student s time is the cheapest here. Additionally, the administrative clerks are uneducated and usually very rude. The labs are outdated!
I wish there was an option to give zero stars!

Worst place ever. It s not what is used to be. Administration is just stupid and doesn t care about the students. The studies are garbage except for a few professors. The grading system is biased and not standardized. Too many young teachers with no experience whatsoever. I wasted my four years and learned nothing. Social events are non-existant. Students are as unmotivated as the faculty with no social life or creativity. If I could give 0 starts, I would. Admission policy is stupid, you get good marks and you re in. There is no personal assessment of candidates regarding their mental capacity, aptitude, creativity, integrity grit, and the capability of doing engineering. That s why most of UET engineers switch after graduating.

Faculty-----2.5 i don't like, mostly not cooperative at all and will never encourage you for questioning like high school teacher.
curriculum----4
Academic Facilities ---3
Boarding------4
what else.
I was a student in electrical engineering and it was the time when Dr Shahid Bukhari and Dr Chughtai left our department due to VC non professional policies. Although UET get the best talent of Punjab but univ and its Faculty has to do a lot to learn how to use/polish this talent.........If I compare UET with any first class university still its a big gap.......

The University of Engineering and Technology (main...

The University of Engineering and Technology (main) located in the northern part of Lahore on the historical "Grand Trunk Road (G.T. Road)", near the magnificent Shalimar Gardens built during the great Mughal Empire.

The institution started its career in 1921 as the Mughalpura Technical College . Later it became the Maclagan Engineering College , a name given to it in 1923 when Sir Edwards Maclagan, the then Governor of the Punjab who laid the foundation stone of the main building, now called the Main Block, which still retains its majesty despite the wear and tear of over eight decades. At that stage the institution offered courses of study in only two disciplines; Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

In 1954 it started a Bachelor's Degree course in Mining Engineering, the first-ever of its kind in the country. However, the real expansion and development of the institution commenced in 1962 on its transformation into the West Pakistan University of Engineering & Technology , and within a few years Bachelor's Degree Courses were started in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum & Gas Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Architecture, and City & Regional Planning.
