Very nice rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice common area including pool, fitness and bar area. Parking In associated phus for $ 20 per day. In perfect walking distance to many of the key West attractions. We had a room with a sea view, but located on the side of the building, so you had to run out over the balcony to see the sea. All in all good for the price and worth a visit.

A majority of the detractors will be highlighted in my remarks below. However, I was disapointed in the excessive resort fee of $29.00 per day for many items that were not provided but were outilined as items the fee covered.

Fantastic place for families and singles alike, steps away from amenities, food and not to mention the beautiful views!
Also really close to kiosks for renting boats and skidoos!
Loved every second of it and the staff is super helpful and gracious!

Attended a great wedding at The Westin. They have beautiful outdoor locations but enough indoor space to deal with any inclement weather. The staff was friendly and accommodated the needs of the wedding party well.

Had to cancel due to illness and would not work with me. Instead of letting us do a date change or cancel, they charged me $274 to cancel the room even when I offered to pay the difference for another weekend. Will not ever stay here and will let everyone know what a bad experience it was! EDIT: I was refunded from Margaritaville and change my review to 3 stars since I got it back but can't give 5 stars since it took a bit of effort to do so.

First floor rooms weren't that great, slightly outdated for the price. Staff was nice, but front desk help was just OK. Valet guys were great. Bistro bar on the boardwalk was great for sundown beers and pictures.

We are still here, and I wanted to provide feedback while everything is fresh.

The best thing about this resort is it s proximity to the local action.

Our stay is 6 days, and we flew into Miami and rented a car at a total cost (including parking) of almost $800 and mostly stayed in the garage. Upon arriving, the valet said it was $25/day for valet service, but they don t tell you that self-parking is $20/day. If we knew this beforehand, would have considered alternative transportation like Uber which cost $350 each way (I checked). Just something to think about.

See pic. We paid almost $500 ($100 extra per day) for an Oceanview room, but for the last 5 days we have had to look at a huge cruise ship all day long. They arrive before dawn and leave before sunset, so you do get to see sunsets. Again, just something to think about.

Speaking of cruise ships, they unload a huge amount of tourists everyday, so your experience getting tables at local restaurants and activities WILL be affected. There is no way to check cruise schedules. Ships from Carnival, Celebrity, etc. showed up.

There are hundreds of rooms that were sold out, but in comparison, the pool is too tiny to accommodate so many guests. Your experience may depend on your luck and timing.

Yes there is a beach, but for a 1000+ guests, they only have 20-25 passes to the beach ($20/person/day). And it s first come first serve (That s mentioned on the website, but it doesn t say how few passes there are). So you need to get in line early before the 8am Concierge Desk opens or you ll be out of luck. This was our biggest disappointment. To top it off, the beach was very rocky, and it was painful to get in and out of the water.

Your public beach alternatives are close by, again, good location is the best thing about this resort.

They only change linens if you leave the card on the bed, but ours didn t, and I had to ask for it to be done. One day, they were too busy and a guy came upon request at 6pm and did the minimum. So if a good cleaning is important to you, this was our experience. Others have had better.

Room was fine. Bathroom was very small and basic.

Finally, only thing you get with your rooms is coffee/OJ in the lobby and in your room. Everything else has a cost. But I think that s more a function of this being a tourist hot spot.

Staff is nice and helpful.

We still had (and are having) fun. I m only sharing what we would have preferred to know earlier, but can t rrrreally tell from the website etc.

Man oh man it felt sooooo good to get out on a Staycation. This place is so Beautiful, I was always a fan of Key west but, the last time I was there Margaritaville wasn't. I'm definitely going back! That view of Sunset Key was priceless

This location is amazing and key West is a great place to visit if you've never been there before it has an amazing view there's so much to do and so much to see I would definitely say this should be on your bucket list of places to go if it is not on there already

Great place to stop, get a drink and sandwich then watch the sunset over the water.
I ordered the Cuban sandwich. It was quite large and I should have shared it. It was tasty but the meat was cold. I prefer that the sandwich be heated enough to not only melt the cheese but also heat the meat.
I'd recommend trying this place for the food and drinks, but especially for the view.

Great spot in Key West for a quick trip! Rates last minute were reasonable (for Key West). Although it isn't the quirky, eccentric inn you want if you are in key West, it fulfills what it sets out to be - a place that can be enjoyed by newlyweds, families, and bachelor parties. Great location- the cat man performs on the dock behind the hotel nightly!

Hotel is beautiful and the staff is great. The downfall is that a cruise ship pulls up everyday at dawn and blocks the entire ocean view. Unless you like watching portholes, I recommend an internal room or another hotel.

My husband and I just returned from Margaritaville Resort and Marina Key West, and we are still talking about how amazing everything was there! We absolutely loved our ocean view room and watching the sunset from our balcony. We could not get enough of the amazing pool! Everything in the pool area was perfect: the drinks, seating, fitness area. All designed for maximum relaxation. We also took the opportunity to visit the beach at Sunset Key, which was absolutely beautiful. Stay at Margaritaville!

Stayed overnight for fantasy fest and was pretty impressed. Clean rooms, great views, and great amenities.

Checking in to our room was quite difficult however and took roughly 30 minutes. They continued to give us problems over something we were told on the phone was acceptable and had an email from a manager as proof. Twas a pain

Overall the stay was well worth it and the great location combined with coziness earns 4 stars from me

Horrible. bugs all over. Overpriced, and commercialized. I have to say it was in the middle of all the action. SLOPPY JOES bar was close and amazing with the band STEREO FM playing that week.

It's Margaritaville and it's in Key West... What more could you want? I love it here so much. It's an absolutely incredible thing to be in this particular location and be able to soak in the atmosphere. If you love Margaritaville, this is a must stop for you. Jimmy Buffett is a brilliant human being and does everything to perfection. Have fun!

I've had really unfortunate experiences with the reservation dept. and staff at the front desk, despite the fact I've paid in advance. I regret booking at this hotel, and the trip hasn't even begun. I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Below, there's a response from the hotel claiming that they handled this, which is misleading (not surprised, considering my TERRIBLE experience). This issue didn't get resolved until the trip was over, and I won't get into it here, but this hotel managed to fumble my reservations well past my stay.

More so, this review isn't for the hotel but for people ready to make a mistake. My advice: stay away. Look to other low ratings for a good idea of what you can expect. I found much of my stay to be somewhere between visiting the DMV and the GAP. During my stay, the roof sprung a leak, the private beach was far too rocky, bird-pooped, and littered in debris--someone pulled a twisted license plate from the sand, along with other pieces of metal. It's hard to believe--nice as the location is--just how bad this hotel is. I can't express this enough: look elsewhere. Stay away. Not worth it. Worse hotel I've stayed in, which is saying a lot.

Overall a beautiful venue. Coffee available in the morning but no milk, half and half or cream for it, only fake creamer which wouldn't be out of place at a cheap gas station. Our room was very nice.... with a balcony and the promised view of the gorgeous tropical landscaped pool area. Unfortunately it was rendered useless by the ugly loud machinery on the adjacent roof. Staff was professional and personable. Room service breakfast was on time and delicious. Added unspecified room fees and taxes on the fees felt sneaky, I'd prefer to know costs up front. My first time to Key West will more than likely be my last. Much cool history, architecture and great lush tropical plants and trees... beautiful trees but too touristy for me.

It's nothing but the old W that they bought change nothing rug smell overpriced towels even say w on them what else overpriced when you get through it to taxes and everything they charge you for it's about $500 a night for a room not worth 200 A night the view was beautiful but not worth the price.

After having a bad experience at a nearby four-star hotel and having to leave that hotel earlier than what we reserved days for we came to Margaritaville in Key West At 0530 in the morning with no reservation. we were greeted by a delightful staff member, Mary was the guest services receptionist and lended an ear to the experience we just had left and was more than happy to accommodate us with a room with a view. Mary was absolutely pleasant and an example of outstanding customer service, exceeding all our expectations. Mary saved out short vacation which would have been ruined if we had to stay with the other hotel. The resort was beautiful and all other staff members we encountered pleasant. I will be staying at margaritaville in key west in the near future.

Our fav place to stay when in Key West. Location is perfect, just a block or 2 from Duval Street..restaurants,shops all within walking distance. We always request a room fronting the boardwalk for the best sunsets.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Worth every penny if you have an ocean view/sunset view. We slept in a one bedroom suite that had the corner balcony. The bedroom also had a separate balcony as well.

Hallway carpet smells old or wet and I was a little worried the room would also, but it didn t and many of times we sat on the balcony so wouldn t have even noticed.

I really wish I had a nicer time. We booked the ocean front king size room and we woke up at 8 am to construction workers building a roof right outside our balcony. Coulsnt even have my coffee in the morning to the ocean. I know they cant control that but they could of atleast moved our room and warned us ahead of time. They gave us free valet but also almost thought I wasnt being truthful about the workers and then called to see if I was telling the truth. Also I dont know if it was becaaue we were "young" but we defiently got treated like that by one of the valet guys, he automatically assumed we were in the back building whatever that means to him....from start to finish it wasnt exactly what we were looking for on our first trip to key west and the price we paid for 2 nights. The hotel needs some updating for sure. Also they said we needed a reservation to go to the island but as we talked to guests they said you can come and go from the island as we pleased. We specially asked about it and the front desk said we cant go there without reservation. Key west was beautiful tho. Great location above all else.
