Wonderful venue. Never have we had a bad seat. Ticket costs are reasonable, but the fees are ridiculous (hence a 4 and not a 5 rating). Parking is convenient with a drywall connection. Coatcheck amenity is nice, though we've never used it. Selection of shows is also nice.

The sound system was completely screwed up for the concert. After multiple complaints they finally started looking into it during intermission. I ended up having to explain to the engineer that they had a hot mic within the woodwinds of the symphony because we could tell from the audience that was going on, and I had to explain to him how to fix it. It took them about two-thirds of the concert to repair the sound system so that it wasn't humming anymore. It truly ruin the experience of what should have been a beautiful show.

Always a great show!! Still need to upgrade their sound system though ... geez that really brings down a show when you can't understand the performers. I pay top price for box seats to each show ... I would hope for better!!

This place has very friendly and helpful staff however their seats are definitely built for quantity not quality... And if you in the family tier you'll need to bring something to improve your vision...it's very difficult to see any actors facial expressions from those seats

Have been here a few times over the years, most recently for an MSO show, which was a great experience. Walked a bit for parking, but that was by choice. Theater is getting older, but that's part of the experience I guess.

We bought 3 tickets for Sunday February 9 performance of The Lion King. We had a bad snow storm come through and could not safely drive from Waukesha to Milwaukee that evening. When my daughter called to see if we could exchange our tickets we were told no. They would not give any kind of a refund or exchange on the tickets. I feel that I am not sure I want to give any more of my business to this company.

Yesterday I went with my daughters to see "The Lion King "a full length Broadway musical making it's tour at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Milwaukee. You are no longer in your seat, you are on the plains of the African Savannah surrounded by fascinating animals puppeteered by humans .The music of "Circle of Life," "Can you feel the love tonight"and countless other songs are performed by an outstanding cast of singers and orchestra including the beat of the African drums that pulsate during the performance. The vibrant colorful costumes, the lively dancers transport you during this magnificent moment in time that I assure you will be a memory for years to come.

Can tell this place is getting a little dated. I find myself coming here at least twice a year and compared to similar venues around the country, it's about due for some upgrades....from the common areas to the seating. In particular, this was my first time in recent memory that I sat somewhere other than orchestra level in Uihlein Hall. Due to the lateness in getting our tickets we had upper-level seating, and I was not impressed with the sight lines to the stage. This could/should be improved upon as part of any renovation/upgrade project. But age notwithstanding, I'm happy we have such a venue to experience first-class live entertainment. The performances here have always been top notch. This includes the other smaller theaters in the complex. My favorite is Todd Wehr theater....not a bad seat in the house, and a perfect intimate setting for First Stage productions.
