I recently had a tire swap done at Maple Honda on November 21st, 2020. Upon receiving my car, I noticed that the driver side door panel was not flush with the bumper (there was a noticeable gap between the door edge and the front side of the car).

I went back in and informed the service advisor of this. After looking at the car, he immediately stated that it could not have happened at Maple Honda because they do not have equipment that would do this. I explained that the door was not like this when I entered the dealership. He arrived to the conclusion that it was overextended (possibly by wind pushing against it), and again confirmed that his staff could not have done it. I asked him to take a look at the security cameras and wanted to speak to the manager. He stated the manager was not on site and would return on Monday, and that only the manager could review the footage.

On Monday, I called the service advisor. He got back to me advising that the footage was reviewed from when the car entered the dealer to when it left. At no point did the manager see the door being overextended by any employee.

I demanded to see the walk around report (Pre-Vehicle Inspection Checklist) of the car which was then emailed to me. It noted minor cosmetic issues or dents on some areas of the car, but never noted a noticeable gap between the door panel and front of the car. The service advisor had stated they would not mark such damage on the report. This makes absolutely no sense, since they marked minor cosmetic dents/scratches on this report, but not major damage? This further suggests that this damage was not pre-existing.

I took it to two auto body shops, who stated that it was unlikely caused by overextending of the door, and felt that where the bumper meets the door is where a realignment needed to occur. I then took it to a trusted body shop that I had previously done work with, and without informing them of what happened, they commented that it could have happened with a car jack lift (or similar equipment) being used to lift the car. They subsequently booked me in for an appointment, and had the damage fixed, and it had absolutely NOTHING to do with the door being over extended.

I am extremely disappointed in Maple Honda, and the dishonesty expressed by both the manager and the service advisor that dealt with my car. I will not be having further services done at this location.

For those of you that continue to get services done at Maple Honda, please ensure that you do a walk-around of your car prior to the service, and video record it on your phone. If any damage is done to the vehicle by Maple Honda, they will not own up to this, and you will be on the hook to fix it.

Woah I can t believe the service I received from Jordan at parts at maple honda! i walked in stressed n freaking out! cause I was searching for a certain part for my car n was just not having any luck, after going to multiple dealers. I drove into maple for one last shot n within mins Jordan had tracked down the part had it set aside for me an even advised the other end I was on my way!!! I mean if having this guy isn t an asset idk what is very few ppl left in customer service anywhere! In all my years of purchasing vehicles I've never met a salesman quite like Rohit Mehta. He is a one of a kind salesman that truly does care for you, treats you with respect and earns your business. My son purchased his first car from Ray in June 2017 and Ray was very professional and understanding in trying to get Nicholas the car he REALLY wanted, a Honda Civic Hatchback sports touring model. Car was out of stock and hard to get but Ray did it and left us with an incredible car buying experience that I've never had in the 12 cars or so I've owned in my lifetime. He really went out of his way even driving to Georgetown for us to see if the car was the right colour. Maple Honda is the only Honda dealership I bring my vehicle to be serviced. I love that they make appointments that work with my schedule, but I have had circumstances that I needed my vehicle looked at right away and I would just go in and they go over and beyond to take a look, service and provide me with the best customer service for my vehicle and my family to make sure that we are safe on the roads. My service advisor, Saliba Qaqish, always has a smile when I come in with or without an appointment and takes the time to explain what needs to be done to my vehicle, gives me the price breakdown and follows through with the appointment from beginning to end. Stay clear of Maple Honda for any form of maintenance. Booked a complete fluid change, oil change and brake pad replacement on our Honda Civic 2008 a few months ago. Car was in mint condition driven by my wife and dealer maintained* by the manual for 7 years straight. Picked up the car and I noticed that it sounded like it was not running as quietly or smoothly as normal. In the end I persuaded myself that nothing wrong and drove home, after all it had just been dealer serviced. A few weeks later my wife and I were doing some weekend errands and I noticed that the transmission was jolting between 35km - 40km per hour. We stopped and did some shopping and returned home and the transmission issues mysteriously disappeared. A few weeks after that my wife called me and one the dashboard indicators (D light) was flashing indicating that the vehicle needed to be looked at. I took the vehicle to a trusted mechanic closer to my work because it was more convenient than taking it back to Maple Honda. They plugged in the diagnostic cables and to our surprise they indicated that the vehicle had oil and transmission fluid level issues. This made no absolutely no sense because it been dealer serviced only a month before. Never in a million years did I expect to find my oil levels at half what they should be and transmission fluids a 2/3 the required level after forking out $1200 to Maple Honda! To be clear, neither fluid has ever be found to be leaking from this vehicle, the proper amount of fluids were not replaced at time of servicing by the dealer, period. I don't know what kind of amateur worked on our vehicle or if this was an apprentice error but needless to say I was not impressed. You may appear to be getting a free breakfast at these flashy suburban dealers but ultimately you are forced to pay outrageous prices for average or below average servicing and repairs to cover off the mammoth overhead of these multi-million dollar dealer palaces. *Newmarket Honda, Barrie Honda and on a two occasions Maple Honda!
