Disgusting treatment from their security staff. Stating to me "its not difficult" for me to get a second tray for my laptop myself while trying to ensure my wife who is recovering from leukaemia got through the barrier and autistic 4 year old son out of his buggy and not to run away. The way the guard spoke to us was vile. He was aware as I already advised him. Disgusted

Small airport, easy access, quick to the gates, free wifi.
Heathrow this isn't. It's not *tiny*, but it isn't all that big either. Around 15 minutes to Glasgow proper, you can cab/uber it, or take the Glasgow Express (a bus every 15 minutes or so) that gets you in right quick.

The small size also has an advantage when it comes to getting to the gates - you do't have to spend all that much time waiting around at the airport. If you've got some form of FastTrack access, it's usually less than 20 minutes from the front to the gates...

Theres the usual assortment of restaurants/food/whatever inside - which is actually a good thing - you can get some pretty good craft beer if you've got time to spare :-)

paid extra to park close to airport only to come home to find car was scratched and dented on one rear panel. so paying extra cost us more money and was not a good experience and will make us think twice about parking there again

Parking was a nightmare, nearly missed our flight its thanks to the lovely customer service lady rebecca I think who arranged for the parking of the car in a new bay and apologise for the confusion

Very easy process. Car registration read as you enter and you are issued with a ticket. Transfer from there to airport speedy. On return just came out of terminal where we got bus back to car park. On leaving car park you just feed your ticket into machine at barrier. Very simple and efficient throughout.

I want a lot of people read this so I put 5 stars on it. I think there was a Christmas event, a lot of kids sang carols together as you can see the picture. At the same time some staffs (they wore Glasgow airport necklaces so I think they are staffs) share some candies and chocolates to people randomly. But not for Asian people. An old male staff just looked at me and passed me straight away and give another people candies. And I saw he did that to another Asian people as well. That was definitely racist way. I didn t expect that way for Christmas event! What a mannered man! Shame on you!
Glasgow airport must fix this and think very serious way. Watch your staffs behavior. I assume you must have service training. People always get an impression for first person in that country. Do not ruining your first impression of Scotland either Glasgow.

Flying locally from this airport. Straight forward through with mobile ticket on electronic barriers. Line at security was moving fast, staff effective in checking people without much hold up. Airport security doing standard enquires and everything was easy. Scottish walk to the stand

Ignore, profile name. Right, onto the review. If you see a flight that goes through, departs from or arrives at Glasgow Airport, proceed with caution. I'm sorry but, this airport is the most depressing place in Scotland, and I should know. You ask a staff member for help and they sigh and feel less inclined to help then you are to 'bother' them standing around. I was disgusted with the attitude of staff here. Now I know why they get these hologram staff things instead, because the actual staff can't bother their arse, to actually help people. For the past 10 years every summer we have been going to Florida, and we HAVE to fly out of here. The airline staff are super friendly, until you get to security... that's when things go downhill. Now that everything is automated it's so confusing, even though we are frequent travellers we still get flustered. You are trying to put your ticket on the scanner and behind you, you hear "Ugh.", now you'd think that was another passenger in a hurry? Understandable. No. It was another member of the Glasgow Airport team, who couldn't be the slightest bit bothered to try and help. I don't know if they are taking the piss or not, because it's seriously the worst service you could get. So, after all of that you finally get to security, I took all metal objects off... the scanner went off, next thing you know bloody armed police casually walk over (I was 14 at the time, this event was a few years ago now), and I get a full pat down... Um, just a little lesson for your Glasgow 'Airport' you can't pat down a minor, without parental consent, but I guess rules don't matter to you, like your appalling customer service. Finally we get through security, and on our flight. Nice holiday in Florida, come back 6am in the morning to have another run in with the cast of Coronation St. We get to border control, and the bloody officer shouts at us and tells us; "Use the auto lane" (14 at the time). Next year, we go to use it: "NO, UNDER 16'S CAN'T USE THAT"... I am by this point confused, at what to do... Glasgow Airport, is a good place to be avoided, if you can.

Not Recommended.

Yeah, i fly out of GLA/EGPF every year and yes, the destinations are getting smaller and some airlines are cutting routes but the actual facility is nice and it has a nice range of bars (if you are interested in that sort of thing but since I do not drink idk if they are nice). I give it 4/5 stars because it is a bit cramped but if loads of people fly on the same day what do you expect? I recommend that you get the Glasgow Airport app. Yes, the transport links are not the best but it might get the tram or subway.
Also I think that GLA should expand and add another Int'l pier and lengthen the east pier.

Over all good but did find it a bit bewildering that our flight arrived early the only flight at the time 4.45 am Sunday and we had to wait nearly an hour for our luggage to come out. After a 5 hour flight from cuprus this did no make up happy bunnys.

Updated Dec '17. Improvements are being made....slowly.

The negatives first: WiFi is only free for 1 hour and requires registration. Also the drop off/collection charge is irritating, though I have to admit it has improved traffic flow.

A welcome addition is the water fountain in departures. Just need a baby station with a microwave now.

Customer service also seems to be improving and the new food options are also a positive.

No champagne by the glass in Caledonian bar because they had run out but couldn't be bother to get a bottle from other outlets that sold champagne by the bottle only to the public so much for customer service.

My holiday starts as soon as i set foot in the airport, it's well planned out, security is easy and painless, the whole place is spotlessly clean and enough shops and eating places to help pass the time.

Relatively easy to navigate and friendly staff. Not the best looking airport but also not the worst.

I will say when you go through security make sure to DOUBLE CHECK YOUR LIQUIDS and their rules...security is quite strict when concerning liquids. Coming from the US all my liquids I packed were allowed on my carryon but flying from Glasgow I was forced to through away almost half of the same amount of liquids I brought in. It was quite frustrating when they force you to fit everything in a small sandwich bag. I understand their regulations and respect their rules but I wish I was aware before I reached security. So just prepare ahead of time.

Also, my gate wasn t posted 2 hours before my flight and claimed it would be updated by the time we board. Personally I like to know my gate way before my flight so I can plan where I linger or grab a bite.

Hope this helps save some time and help prep for your trip!

Easy to navigate, always clean and efficient. Security isn't even much hassle (as it can be excessively so in other airports) and there are enough shops to keep me amused for the short time I'm usually there.

The car park spacing is awful. Barley enough room for clearance for one person to stand between a car. My wife's car was dented on BOTH sides by other motorists who left no notes. Each bus stand is plagued by wasps that won't go away and even end up getting on to the busses. Not great for people who have a fear of them! Reason for the wasps are due to full bins that looked like had not been emptied for months. Pay the and stay at the multistory. It's worth it.

My husband and I travelled from Glasgow airport to Netherlands on 19/11/15. In the current climate I imagined security would have been stepped up. I was wrong!!! We checked in online (we could have been anyone using false names) our online boarding passes were self scanned so no one looked at them. I went through baggage control with boits with a block heel on ( was not asked to remove then) none of us were searched. We then entered departure lounge ( we could have been terrorists but no one had checked that!!!) we were flying with Easyjet and personnel were more interested in catching people with oversized cases than checking boarding passes! There was s casual glance at our passports and we were on the plane. This was a complete disgrace and I was very bliss to actually getting off plane as I did not feel safe. Glasgow airport has really got yo look at their security measures. In Netherlands Everyone passed through a body scanner then was physically searched. All bags were checked and out passports were thoroughly inspected over and over before we got as far as the departure lounge. I felt sad there! On our return we have visited our travel agent and changed out departure airport for our summer holiday to Edinburgh airport. In this climate Glasgow airport us asking for trouble as they have virtually no security measures whatsoever when you check in on line.

Was surprised on the journey out as to how quiet the airport was & the fact that it does not appear to be open for business 24hrs hardly anything was open & had to wait half an hour for security to be opened which meant there was a great big queue had built up! On the return to Glasgow airport the heavens had opened up & it was not very welcoming to be made to walk from the plane to the terminal in the rain. In a country that sees a lot of rain you would think that every gate would have a covered walkway available between the plane & the terminal, bad enough when you are scottish but not a great experience for visitors, definitely room for improvement. Apart from the above the airport experience was fine!

Amazing

It is a nice airport, but I do not understand why it needs two separate terminals? If flying a low budget airline, you need to go to Terminal 2 and after walk back to Terminal 1 for security. It is a waste of time.

Easy to find and access, bus connections to airport terminal building super quick and bus drivers were very helpful and waited patiently for us to board with a baby, a small child and all of our luggage and buggy. Toilets located in the main car park.

Although it cost me double what a taxi would cost I decided to take my car and park it in Car Park 2 for convenience. Good lighting and security - but for 2 days parking I found it very expensive as I was there Sunday/Monday - would have been a lot cheaper for Friday/Saturday.

Getting in and out of Glasgow Airport used to be a breeze. It is now a complete nightmare, parking confusing, signage ridiculously baffling. As I was leaving car park 2 loads of people coming in the wrong way. You don't know until last minute which lane goes to which car park.
Scottish themed restaurant upstairs filthy cutlry and tables but delicious homemade shortbread and not busy like chain coffee places downstairs

Small by great Airport. I got here super early one time I used it and ended up spending about three hours at the airport but frankly I didn't feel like the time dragged or anything like that. Easy to check in and go through security and there wesrherspoons here is also great with amazing staff. I was only doing a domestic flight here but I felt like everyone was top notch and as someone who is terrified of flying this is always much appreciated

Such a stupid system to not announce gates earlier. Like today: gate 12 gets announced at 21:30, and by 21:35 there is announcements saying it is the final urgent call, even though it is a good 8 minutes walk from the main waiting area. Not very smart at all.

Very good airport!

Very good airport!
Well served by shuttles, bus and taxi.
Security control agents are friendly!
The airport is fluid as a whole
