Bit expensive for drinks and food but comfortable otherwise
Grotty old airport with employees that look and act the part.
Rated the best airport by TPG UK but the only thing missing is a airlink service between the airport and Glasgow Central station.
As far as international airports go its pretty standard and lacks aesthetic appeal but at the end of the day as long as it serves its function then it's fine!
Good sized airport. Polite and helpful staff. A great variety of places to deceive the wait between purchases and food of different nationalities. The bathrooms are very clean and fragrant, decorated with jars of flowers. In the waiting rooms, despite the constant cleaning, I was able to notice how certain people are really uncivilized ... The various fountains of water distributed in various locations that we have used are very useful.
The worst airport website ever!
Want to book a flight? You need to look under 'Destination inspiration' - really! And, if you work out that the next link will be below the huge photo and off your computer screen, you'll still be a load of clicks away from booking a flight. Either that, or you'll be stuck in an eternal loop!
Edinburgh Airport, and even Prestwick, make it easy enough, so who was the clown that designed this?
And the airport itself? Glasgow is Scotland's biggest city, but Edinburgh flies to more destinations! Catering facilities are pretty poor and, if you fly with EasyJet, you'll walk half way to your destination!
A few restaurants, some shops. Standard airport. In the main hall it is often difficult to find a place to sit. Always effective security control. Easy access from the center (both by car and bus).
Hand in cream at customs and buy the same 25 meters further. Too bad this.
All worked very easily, and the Airport's Long Term Parking is cheaper than a taxi to and from the airport. Will use that again.
The BA Exec Lounge is very comfortable and as ever the whole airport experience was simple and professional.
Being 13 I can say what it is like for young people and how easy it is. The most simple airport I have been through and the staff are very friendly. Security is now very fast and at 4 AM that is what you really need. Cues were massive but took 10 minutes to get through. Duty-free is nicely laid out and an amazing selection of restaurants. Toilets are plentiful and there is loads of seating. A couple of times it has taken a while to get on the plane but I know that is down to the airline, not the airport. I have been to a lot of airports and this has been my favourite. Also, make sure to follow them on Instagram!
Simply dreadful. Desperately needed an expansion years ago (last real expansion was 1989!!!) and lack of such has meant that budget and charter flight check in desks are in hanger-like outbuildings and their 'departure lounges' are in grotty basement areas. The lack of expansion has meant that large areas of the terminal that were designed to be on 'land side' (the public area) are now on 'air side', as there's insufficient space for departure lounges for all the flights, and now 'land side' is absolutely tiny. The re-arrangements are completely nonsensical for the design of the place (there is an elevated glass tunnel that now goes nowhere because the place where it leads to is now on 'air side') and despite a railway line into Glasgow Central Station running only a few hundred meters from the airport, there is no rail link into Glasgow.
On top of this, the staff at passport control are extremely rude.
It is what you would expect. A few shops, expensive duty free.
Because I need a holiday and of course I love Glasgow airport also I would like thank the flying scot for there service
departure, leaving from long stay car park very good
airport checkin and security quick and efficient..
arrival a different story . security VERY quick with new ish
tech of chipped passport[ which we have had for a while]
checked on electronic notice board for bag carousel , found it
no problems...carousel notice board gives an estimate of 1st bag
on moving convour [ all good so far ] ..then it bleeps .starts to move
for 10 mins with no bags..stops..waits another 20 mins then bags appear
ALL soaked not with the light drizzel that was on but deeply wet as if been in a puddle !!..back on bus to long stay..but on way my wife lost
her good watch..phoned NCP long stay and a very nice chap told her after proof that the driver had handed same watch in to office,,
SO WELL DONE guys at LONG STAY CAR PARK..thanks
Just your bog standard airport. Some staff at a few of the gift shops are rude. We rarely go to the restaurants because the food quality isn t the best standard.
This place is small, but has many shops and nearby hotels, I went with my family from England taking 5 hours to get there and stayed a night in a hotel, then driving here. it was pretty tiring, and our flight was delayed a couple hours, however, this only happened once out of the seven times we went every there and there were lots of choices of restaurants. We got on the plane and everything was fine.
I fly regularly through Glasgow airport, overall staff and experience is pleasant although rarely had such a rude security staff. No eye contact, minimal verbal or nonverbal clues she removed items from my hand luggage and became irritated when i asked what the issue was. I believe I am only allowed to use plastic bags issues at the airport and not reuse my plastic bag I've used for years. I asked to speak to a supervisor to no avail. Shame...
The employees here are the nicest people of all the airports I have been through. My family has used this airport many times and we love how calm and peaceful it is. Never had a problem.
Profiteering from terrorism. Ridiculous over-charging for parking compounded by actually having to pay to drop someone off. Would be 1 Star if the rest of the place weren't ok, but massive overreaction from the place that let terrorists get too close.
Well organized, good sign post , friendly staff every thing is very well.
Plenty of seating, not many shops. But easy enough to wait for a flight.
Usually a nice airport but brought down by unnecessary racial profiling and harrasment by the police on duty despite the possession of a British passport. Shameful.
Good and clear airport. It was clean and the staff was friendly.
Reasonable price and very frequent bus transfers - even in the middle of the night.
Good airport well laid out not confusing like some international airports.
Good airport experience, security queues usually aren't that bad, airport itself is easy to walk through no matter what terminal you are departing from. A lot of different shops/places to eat but do remember that the prices are quite a bit marked up. Airport bus is reliable (500) and departs several times an hour. However the ePassport Gates in the arrivals part of the airport don't seem to work for me and sometimes the security staff/staff at passport gate can be a bit abrupt.
Excellent airport and best service by airport crue member...looking very nice..
The border patrol who check the passports are trained to be rude obnoxious and because they have a bit of power arrogant and impolite.
Welcome to Glasgow.
You have to wait forever until your luggage arrives. I was faster in Indonesia and Thailand.
Overall the experience and service was very good. One problem I had was the non recognition of my licence plate on entry. I've had this once before. However your employee in the office resolved the problem.
Very discourteous staff, no one would give us the time of day. Confusing and cramped airport, with the rental car drop off and pick up located outside and far from the actual airport.
I would NOT recommend this airport to anyone.
The airport is easy to understand and the layout is easy to use.
The first time I went there was very helpful because the information staff was kind and friendly and explained this.
You can also get information and maps to the city center here.
Very organized airport. Check in and security control are fast and the employees are very polite
Easy to use airport, and we were not charged for checked bags!!!!
Nice place to fly into to begin a journey in Scotland. Staff was very friendly and customs was very easy and helpful to pass through. Overall a great experience.
Very clean, not at all busy today. Staff pleasant and helpful.
Most of it is shut at the moment for understandable reasons
Relatively average airport, friendly staff and good variety of shops and cafes. Very quick getting in and out and security is fast to get through too.
Excellent. Toilets spotless. Everyone obeying the rules. Staff very courteous. All hygiene protocol in place.
Can only describe staff at Glasgow Airport as outstanding. Menzies, the Aer Lingus agent, is exceptional. Focussed exceptional customer service with a can do attitude. Thank you, Menzies.
What can you say about an airport? The toilet was clean but I'd stay away for eating in any of the restaurants if you want money left over for your holiday
a very nice and safe airport. There is wifi and thats always a good thing.
Small but well located airport with some decent connections into Europe.
Only negative is the car parking which is usually busy and quite expensive
The people who work in the car park both on my arrival and departure were great. I parked in the wrong area and they helped me get this fixed. All of the guys were amazing and so nice when I spoke to them. Can't thank them enough.
Not sure why it always takes so long for us to be disembarked at Glasgow. It's as if they don't know what stand the plane is coming into most of the time... to have the right stairs prepared. the queues at security and passport control are always a joke.
It would help if actual airport staff were there but it's always a mixture of staff from different airlines or agencies working for different airlines or companies. It must be pretty confusing for a foreign visitor as the whole experience is somewhat of a shambles.
It would help if there were better connections to the city and surrounding area. As it is... if you come in on a late flight you run the risk of not getting a connection to the neatest railway station.. which is paisley and not Glasgow. It would be helpful to have a regular shuttle bus that comes as standard... Not a once an hour offering from McGills for which you need one ticket and change (the drivers don't have any and the atms at the airport tend to only spit out 20 pound notes).
Please add a tramline or regular shuttle bus as standard. .. and or get rid of the 2 pound dropping off charge as the public transport service is so shocking that mostly you need to get dropped off if you're flying out early in the morning and returning late at night.
This charge is unfair given the transport is null.
Awful that this is the central belts main airport.
In the past, when I have visited my parents in Kirkcudbright, I always used this airport to and from Newark.
Easy to got in and out of, and l find the parking excellent.
Holiday Inn Express
Excellent, staff very nice, food was good but choice was limited
One of the better ones. It was quiet (was in the international area in November), there are padded seating areas away from the shops. Unfortunately, gates will be announced shortly before. Security fast and professional. Bus service to the city every 15 minutes.
Great Airport for global connections...

Travelled all over the world & Glasgow must be the worst for baggage collection times. Once again had to wait ages for the baggage to arrive from our transatlantic flight. Not as bad as one of our visits which was one hour. Edinburgh airport would always be my choice if a suitable flight was available.
Worst airport to fly in. Boarder control is a joke.
Airport well organized, security control is passed very fast. It is very well indicated how to get to Glasgow.
Very big and nice, great service, nice people. You should have seen it.
Didnt have any issues, staff were friendly and fast and loads of signs to help you get about
When I was stationed in Europe, I used to travel three or four times. Very efficient airport.
Local Airport Parking is reasonable compared to Edinburgh This airport was the number one airport north of the border but since devolution the Scottish Parliament focuses on Edinburgh which is awful Never had any issues here I pre-booked parking and price was excellent
Poor service, waiting for bags for ages. Staff shortages and one man with a broken suitcase. Disappointed.
never spent longer than 10 minutes going through security.
A messed up airport where staff racially profile passengers based on their sex and looks, i was taken to more extensive screening because i am an arabic looking male after the alarm rang in the metal detector, i asked how come did the metal detector ring while im carrying no metals, the staff answered that it also does random selection... i think this is a malicious way of profiling people or else the metal detector should be renamed metal and arab detector...
Staff were friendly....and went the extra mile. They could not have been nicer to me or my family. Wonderful service. Thank you
It's nice and friendly as always, but it feels a bit like in a zombie apocalypse: so empty of travellers and open shops...
I always find all airport stuff very kind. They asked how was the flight and how was stay. And this time I went for my birthday and when I came back a nice guard asked me did I enjoyed my birthday. So nice! :) I always enjoying flying from Glasgow and now I think I will be flying from there always :)
Worst disabled injured traveler service ever experienced
Left in a corridor in a wheel chair, unable to walk as no or not enough staff
Scotland service standards for disabled people are poor
