An airport that is changing quickly, everything is automated until check-in. You really have to be aware that from now on you have to place your luggage to be on the carpet, take the label out of the destination and stick it. No additional weight tolerance. The lack of human contact is disturbing, the staff seemed to be very stressed and suddenly stressful. Where are all the jobs now? Because if everything is automatic, how can we talk with people and be helped?

Avoid if you can! I was disgusted by my treatment at airport secuirty. It seems I was carrying 1 two many see through plastic bags of liquids for this airport. I've traveled many times through Gatwick, Heathrow and even Stanstead to get to Glasgow (this even was my return journey) and always had 2 bags... But it seems Glasgow security wanted to make a point out of me. Most of my liquids were medical creams which I didn't keep in their boxes on keep the prescription labels because if they are stolen I dont want my personal details on them. But this wasnt a good enough reason for them and they were making my life extremely difficult. They were extremely rude and refused to explain themselves, extremely arrogant one supervisor constantly repeating that hes worked in the service for 12 years, and when I said that US security allowed it he tried to say that they are lacking compared to Glasgow?!
In the end because I was making such a fuss he called the police and tried to get me banned from my flight and swabed everything I owned hoping to find a trace of drugs. And was addimant I wasn't getting my flight back. Nothing was found I got my flight, but I'll never be using this airport again, I'm going to need to get new medication now and replace expensive makeup because of this moron.

It is an efficiently run airport. But a point worth mentioning. I have to take off my shoes( trainers, slip on, ankle boots) every time going thru security. I don t have this issue in other airports such as Stansted. The guard mentioned that this is not Stansted to which I pointed out I am the only person taking the shoes off . I have noticed other passengers with thick soles shoes/ trainers or boots going thru security without taking off the shoes. Why pick on some particular passengers? Think re training in other airports will be a good for the staff and random checks on the security camera of security guard treatment of passengers will be helpful.

A busy airport a bit far from city, we used train to go to airport, I lost my camera pocket there but it was difficult to find it back even I reported to security and searched back in every single places but could not find it, the good things all was ok, my flight and trip back to Indonesia was good, lots of shops and restaurants as well, only memory remained during our stay @London

Lots of F&B options, great security area but a rip off car park pick up system where they charge you a few quid just to be there 10 mins to pick up someone and the baggage delivery when arriving has to one of the slowest I've ever had misfortune to get experience.

Never have any issues when travelling through the Airport! do wish they would upgrade the airport a little to attract more visitors and flyers, but its so close to home i can't complain!

Nice airport mini mall and duty free, security was a long wait, but the worst bit was lots of walking once you're through security to get to your gate. I barely had enough time arriving 1 hour early.

Very good experience, fast check in etc on departure and our way back home! I would like to thank whoever found my ipad on the Emirates aircraft and after post to me. Will certainly use that airport again.

Airport is small and easy to use so no issues within the terminal itself HOWEVER there is no train or tube link which for me is a big let-down. Buses run but the service are links are awful. The last bus going to Paisley around 22.30 certainly before 23.00 thereafter you pay extortionate taxi fares or go by bus to Glasgow main train station. Sorry Glasgow the airport links are woeful.

Ironically Prestwick airport has a direct train link but fly s mainly freight

Arriving back into Glasgow Airport from India I realized how unprofessional the information signs were for foreign visitors arriving in Scotland. The lack of eye level signs directing visitors to passport control and luggage pick-up is abysmal.
Staff at passport control were not interested that non-EU visitors queuing could not see the waist high banner directing them to another passport control area.
As we will shortly be hosting the Games, come on Glasgow pull up your standands

Best UK airport I have traveled from. Organised quick check in, helpful staff.
Onsite parking a little difficult to find but once we did plenty of spaces and regular buses to the terminal.
Airport lounge - Okay probably would do again if just adults, not enough choice for kids food.

Car drop off and pick up system is a terrible experience, costly and not customer oriented.
Deliberate blocking off old drop with concrete bollards and boards makes the approach look like approaching the green zone in Iraq.

Tesco's presence at this airport is a useful and practical one: prices appear sensible as opposed to those in the gift shops where ordinary items have price tags aimed at the unsuspecting traveller.
The International arrivals area seems to sell Glasgow short: its space is fresh and generous, but a photographic mural, a view of Glasgow to the north, is what serves as style or statement for those arriving from abroad. It's fairly anonymous and forgettable.
The West of Scotland is rich with a fantastic resource: water. A water fountain would be a brilliant Scottish welcome, especially if a hi-tech hygienic drinking feature was available at it.
Refreshing, dust-free, full of nice negative ions for those constrained for hours in noisy cabins with poor air quality, I wish those travellers free water, in abundance!

Used the airport many times and its fine, but a little more info from security staff wouldn't go a miss.

I had an issue today where my suitcase was diverted for extra security.
I was asked to open my case (which I did) and the operative pulled a swab of some kind out and gave the inside of my case a wipe round edges and slotted into a machine. Everything was fine and I was on my way.
If this has to be done, the customer should be informed why this check is necessary and what it's for.
I'm all for keeping everyone safe, just let us know what you're doing in our suitcase and we will feel better served.

Profiteering...that plain and simple!

Profiteering...that plain and simple!
An airport, train or bus station most fundamental role is to serve it's passengers.
But this place seems to think, it's WE the passengers and public serve it!
We are now expected to pay for the privilege of being dropped off and collected.
As well as paying the extortionate prices that the shops charge for food and water...once you get thru passport control.
IT'S ABSOLUTE OUTRAGE!

Security can be quick... Pretty poor selection of mediocre eateries beyond security. A Wagamas wouldn't go a miss... The 'Spoons' is your best bet... Reasonably priced, average tasting and there's a good selection of beers. Wifi is only free for one hour and about as fast as a overweight hamster; don't even think about downloading anything post 1999 size.

Today Glasgow airport gets 5 stars great smooth transitions, only from Gatwick London but it s all clearly sign posted and made as simple as possible for your onward journey. Support staff were on hand to help families and those requiring mobility support and with a smile too. Lovely to see the availability of free papers as well so many places have stopped this.

So I did my return journey home from Glasgow airport today, I used the Upperdeck lounge as it s included with my bank account. Wow it was lovely lots of varieties of foods hot and cold drinks, nibbles, comfy seating, charging points and much more! Lovely clean toilets, maintenance in the lounge keeps a high standard, really lovely support staff too.

Not an experience of the airport itself, however wanted to leave a review for the disabled assistance service at Glasgow airport and particularly a lovely lady called Linda. She went over and above to help get my father in-law through the airport and to our nearby hotel. Wonderful service and definitely worth a 5 star review. Thank you!

I have just spent an hour trying to get a telephone number where I could actually speak to someone without success! I am trying to get my home telephone number removed from an advert for one of your food outlets as I am being inundated with calls from people trying to order food!

Small but really good airport..Arranged with lots of art works and the corridor containing reminder for wildlife conservation is fabulous!! Has hot good number of shops and restaurants too..The arrival area is too good with good no of chairs to sit and relax. The baggage claim process is pretty fast too!!

As far as airports go, Glasgow is pretty good. It's not a good looking airport like Heathrow for instance but it's got a good layout, the security process is mostly pain-free and it's rare to be queuing longer than 10min.

There's plenty of places to eat and drink - Wetherspoons, Starbucks, Uppercrust, James Martin (recent addition) and a few others, as well as a Boots and WH Smith

If you're travelling with kids, there's nothing for them to stay occupied so make sure to factor this in and bring something for them - iPad with movies & games, comics, toys etc.

Taxi rank outside arrivals is notoriously busy - if you're lucky you'll get a taxi right away but prepare for a 15-20+ min wait. It's worse after around 8pm.

Could do with maybe freshening up a little. Food and drink prices at the bars are a bit on the high side. Shops after security are pretty good though, jewellery and perfume places especially. Not sure why they keep moving the gates though, last three times I've flown out to same destination, different gate each time.

Easy airport to navigate through. Some rare animals on display. Good drop off and pickup points (with usual airport charges) . Well organised inside with plenty of shops bars and restaurants to ease away the time of you need to. Plenty of flight screens to check when enjoying a pint or two. AND Even a stuffed flying haggis - who knew!?

The best airport mainly due to airport security always professional yet lovely and put you at ease, I've travelled widely and can say I've never had such a warm and friendly experience of security staff, other airports could learn a lot from Glasgow. One thing I would like to change is being informed of the cheapest option when enquiring on travel options to destinations when leaving the airport. I was told to get the bus to Glasgow then train to go to Greenock when there is a local bus that takes you to Paisley Gilmore st. Then train from there, I think this is due to money making.
