I paid them to install a bidirectional meter as part of THEIR solar power pilot project and it took over two months to install. They confirmed by email that our meter was ordered, and nothing happened. When I called they had no records of it being ordered. Our paperwork was submitted twice but no one there seems to know what was going on.

I gave them free power from my solar panels all day for half the summer, and then still had to buy the small amount I used at night. I've contributed over a MWh to the grid and never got paid for it. When the meter did finally get installed it took several months to get the billing sorted out correctly. They were initially trying to charge me money for the electricity that I gave to them!

Certainly not the general staff's faults but the management and bureaucracy is seriously messed up.

For the most part it s okay but if you make arrangements for a payment and they don t follow through you have to pay the said amount and wait for who knows how long (up to 4 or more hours) waiting, there quick when they turn it off but turning back on take forever even when you paid.

Hydro was to cut down some trees that were interfering with the lines 1 year ago. Still not done. Tried calling a few times today, went through all the prompts, and was transferred to customer service. As soon as call transfers it goes to a busy signal and drops call.

We sign up for pre authorized payments with hydro and they have taken out OCT bill 3 times now. We paid it on Oct 20th and so far taken money 2 more times after that. Then say we won't be able to give you your money back for a month or so. Like what???? Just send the money back to the account you took it from. Left us with nsf fees the first time, now they straight took another 174 for no reason from the account. Like wooow and now we wanna get this pre authorized payments off the bank account and they want 300$ from us before we can do that.

Unprecedented conditions and the crews are doing just a fabulous job restoring power as quickly as possible to the many customers affected. Our power went off at 7:30am and a crew showed up at 7PM and restored power to our building and the surrounding neighbourhood. Many Thanks!

Such a breath of fresh air to have an extremely pleasant customer service experience over the phone in these COVID times. The MB hydro employee was really helpful and patient in answering all my questions over the phone and also corrected my bill accordingly (wish I could recall her name).

What an absolute Joke this experience has been. I have been on hold for 48 minutes and still have not spoken to a soul. Keeps telling me to stay on the line and they will be with my shortly. Hate to experience what a "long wait will be". What a total waste of my time. Bad service Hydro. You should do better for your customers.

I recently moved into a new place and filled out the address change form online. The application said that it had gone through, and that if they had any further questions they would contact me. I waited for my account information to come in the mail, and after 3 weeks I received nothing, aside from my power being cut off on a Saturday. I figured it was either a blown fuse or a neighbourhood power outage. Then after waiting on hold for how long I was told I didn't have an account with them and that the previous tenants were still on the file. Then instead of trying to fix the problem they just said we would have to call back Monday to set up an appointment for it to be turned back on. Yet for people with accounts, being without power is an emergency. Absolutely ridiculous that they closed at 4pm, and it was 3:30pm when we called so they couldn't afford to potentially pay for over time. So now my food in my fridge is spoiled, and my turtles and crested gecko have been without heat or light and are under extreme stress, but that's okay because they saved themselves an extra 20$.

EDIT:

So for some reason they came today (Monday) & said that our meter was not hooked up and that they couldn't hook up the power until there was a new meter put in. Weird, because for the last 3 weeks I had power? So now all of a sudden my meter is "missing". So how come they didn't process the new meter when they found out it was missing? What a horrible excuse for a company. Wondering whose going to pay for my spoiled food and sick animals?
