Great atmosphere and delicious food. Recommendation from our Lyft driver and glad we stopped in!
Great atmosphere and delicious food. Recommendation from our Lyft driver and glad we stopped in!
A New Orleans staple always great food that
goes above and beyond anything else. It's almost as good as my home cooking.
Delicious food, great atmosphere and a wonderful staff
Food was great, service... Not so much. You shouldn't have to tell your server more than once about your forgotten drinks, salad, and condiments. Food was so good, it's still worth going back again.
I use to really like eating there. But it s just not the same anymore. The shrimp they used for poboys have gotten very small. Maybe it s the season.
The service was great though.
My all time favorite place in New Orleans but they're now priced out of my league.
Super friendly staff and outstanding food. The fried drum fish was wonderful. The hamburger was just right.
This is the kind of place you like to find when visiting another city. Real good food and plenty of it, friendly comfortable atmosphere, family friendly. Don t expect over fancy pretentious foo foo, this place is the real deal for a real feast.
Loved the lettuce wedge with bleu cheese dressing made with chunks of bleu cheese the size of Cleveland! The calamari was perfect and an order filled the 3 of us. Highly recommended for families or groups due to the background din. I'll return next time I'm in NOLA.
I love the fried shrimp the bomb. Even so good that the party all ordered food to go lol.
Went for lunch, I ordered 1/2 salad (with grilled shrimp) and cup of soup, taste good but I didn't care for the oyster & artichoke soup, it was more of an artichoke soup. If you like artichokes then you'll like this, I wished I ordered something else like seafood soup. Popular place, usually a wait, loud, good food, I would go back.
It's really a good restaurant. Lots of history and good service. I give it 3 and a half stars. I've eaten there several times over the years, and usually I'm satisfied with the food
Good almondine, but the brown gravy on top was definitely weird!
So we ate here because we ve heard it s the thing to do and I m not sure what all the hype is about. The food was mediocre at best and hardly worth a second glance. I will say that the fried eggplant was very good and my sister enjoyed the turtle soup but I wouldn t eat here again or recommend it to anyone. The string beans had to be directly out of a can. The only thing that may cause people to return to this place is the large portion size of the dishes (and alcoholic beverages) as well as the friendly staff. If I were rating solely on service I would give our waitress and the staff (for putting up with our large party) 5 stars. It s too bad as we were on a roll with impressive restaurants in New Orleans this far.
Loved it!
And the courtyard.
Great appetizers and drinks
Next to the Jackson Square
We are coming back
Really great shrimp creole, porkchops, bbq shrimp service and ambience. Ended up here by happenstance and enjoyed a fabulous time!
Excellent fried, zucchini and a split plate of their chicken Parm. So much food. We all feel asleep directly after this meal.
I had the Fresh Gulf Coast Fish off the Sunday menu. It was good, but there were a few bones in the fish. A lot of people ordered the fried chicken, the spagetti and another shrimp pasta dish.
We always enjoy our food. Our family celebrates the new year every January here. We come from New Orleans, Metairie, Kenner, Destrehan, Chalmette, west bank and the North shore. Never any complaints only praises. January 9th here we come!
Horrible experience. The server was unhelpful and condescending even though we ordered appetizers, meals and drinks (i.e. were spending a lot so were planning on tipping big), never checked on us, spent the majority of his time chatting at the bar and the food was overpriced and bland. We were very disappointed with our meals and barely touched them, and had to flag the server down several times just for drinks and our checks. The bayou fish dish I ordered was drowned in flavorless gravy and tasted like cafeteria food, and the turtle soup was not good. I had heard such wonderful things about this place, but we ended up spending $100 plus on a very frustrating experience that ended in us ordering take out.
I really liked the atmosphere. Even though there seemed to be some business lunch meetings going on there was a very laid back feel. The food was good. The service was great. The lunch special of the day happened to be pot roast
THE BEST restaurant in New Orleans for true Cajun food. Definitely a must.
Great place for a variety of dishes for lunch and dinner.very busy at times so be ready for a short wait.
Great food and big portions. Love the crawfish cakes. Also a historic restaurant right off of canal
Good service. Incredible seafood. Delicious iced tea. #popularplace #seafood
Lovely atmosphere, service was great. 1st time going and it won't be the last when I return to New Orleans. I had the grilled shrimp with the roasted potatoes and green beans.
Little bit of a wait but well worth it. Very reasonable price for the high quality food.
Awesome food! One of the best places I ate at while visiting New Orleans. Yummy. I'd drive all the way from here in Houston, just to get some Mandina's!
Excellent New Oyeans food!!! Comfortable family atmosphere.
Very good...the key to this place is to splt a meal thrn it isn't expensive..great deal Good food
The Shrimp Bordelaise was phenomenal!! The french bread was fresh crispy outside warm and chewy inside...I loved it
We love Mandina's. It's that place you go to and know everybody! Huge menu to choose from and EVERYTHING is delicious!
As always delicious, great service, and New Orleans atmosphere.
A very cute, cozy place to eat. The food was delicious. The staff is very friendly. The price is extremely affordable. Love this place
The meal, 1/2 oysters and 1/2 shrimp, green salad and broccoli were prepared to perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Get the shrimp poboy. And the oyster poboy. And the stuffed bell pepper special. And the turtle soup. And the bread pudding. Just get it all!!! Outstanding!
Great place for the kids. I suggest the turkey snadwhich.. its delicious...
Such a great place for lunch. Good food, better atmosphere.
Food was good. Service was not. Lots of servers around but didn't help each other. Our server was a bit curt. He was busy and others were standing around. Constantly out of drinks.
Amazing food and perfect service by Kelis (unsure of spelling). We bought concert tickets last minute while at dinner, and our server printed them out for us! Who does that?! Delicious fried shrimp, onion rings, and soft shell crab po boy. Very simple atmosphere but very friendly.
One of the best restaurants in New Orleans! Great local fare and strong cocktails!
They are a real NO eatery. As long as I've been going, mostly the same folks. Crawfish fettuccine, 1 of the 5 best meals.
My first time eating at Madina's. Nice atmosphere, our waiter was really nice. I loved the food; and I thought very reasonably priced. It's my wife's favorite place. Would recommend.
I went in with high expectations, but I was sorely disappointed. I knew I was in trouble when peas yes, *peas from a can* was considered a side dish.
The shrimp creole I had was lukewarm, at best, and the shrimp s texture was like styrofoam. The rice was instant, microwaveable stuff. It seemed microwaved out of a vat. And for the price?! There are better places for cheaper. This place could use a kitchen nightmares reboot. Seriously, they are ripping off out of towner tourists and it s obvious.
Tucked away in the neighborhood, this place is where the locals go, and for good reason. Everything on the menu will blow your mind without blowing your budget.
This time I had the BBQ Shrimp PoBoy special. Comfort food at its finest.
The portions are very large, so come hungry. You will not leave here hungry at all. You will, however, likely have to go back to the hotel for the food coma. So plan accordingly.
Great food and even better service. Loved the gumbo!
Home cooked food with portions as big as your head. If your going for the classics like fried seafood, po-boys, and grilled fish, this is the place to come. Local spot, no reservation required, and be prepared to get fed.
Delicious food. Large selection. Authentic New Orleans atmosphere and service.
New Orleans legend worth the name. Brusceloni is Thursday special only. Great place. Better when not crowded
Great service, 10% cheaper than other places but a bit salty....
The food is always excellent when dining in. I am never disappointed. I ordered from postmates and the half loaf gulf fish poboy was made to perfection. I decided to order again from postmates I am not sure what happened but the fish was not as good and the onions were overcooked. The onions were fried so hard I thought it was bacon.
Great service by Chris... then good food... good time
Great lunch special! Great service! Don't skip the turtle soup.
Another great neighborhood joint in NOLA. The turtle soup is fantastic including the Sherry topper! Bring your appetite because the portions are large and very satisfying. The service is terrific and the staff is friendly.
Great service and great food! Highly recommended by locals and I highly recommend it as well. Parking is available. When we arrived at opening there was already a line waiting to get in.
Horrible food. I will never go back again. The best thing I ate was a coconut cake and I brought that from another bakery.
Outstanding food. Wonderful Cajun flavor experience! Excellent service.
Great food and you get a lot for the money. Excellent service!
Food and drinks over priced service was not good and they cannot cook steaks. Gumbo was great but steak was terrible will not come back.
Our waiter was amazing. I wasn't that impressed with the food. I had the Catfish Almadine and it was just ok. The eggplant fries were very good.
Eggplant Parmesan was really good. The Sunday dinner menu is a good deal
Fried chicken excellent.
Great local place
Great staff
Truly old new Orleans
Beautiful old building that survived the storm. Fantastic food and great service. Do yourself a favor and visit.
Wow! If you are looking for a place with a throwback atmosphere, Mandina's is your best bet. I'm from a city with an untold number of Italian places. Now days, they are all into fine dining which comes with snooty service, high prices and More
Great neighborhood place! Great fried food: shrimp, oysters, fish. Good Italian choices with red gravy, pasta, bruchalon, meatballs. Po-Boy sandwiches, meats, fried seafood, and sloppy roast beef. Good chicken dishes also. Stand-up bar and cocktails.
Great food! Great atmosphere! Enjoy eating here every chance I get!
Great old fashioned and the turtle soup was good too.
