Ive always loved this place and have been going since I was a kid. Always loved the food and atmosphere. A group of 6 of us went tonight, we had a good time and the food was on point as always. However, i think the attentiveness by waitstaff, in back dining area, could have been a little better and the constant slamming of dishes and the serving stands were a bit unnecessary.

The food and service was good! Mandina's has been always known for good food. I'm from NYC and they are definitely over priced. NYC has authentic Italian and it's not that expensive; the ambience at Mandina's is okay it doesn't fit the price.

Walked in and waited 15 minutes. It was worth the wait. The crab claws and seafood gumbo were amazing with garlic bread. We ordered the meatballs and spaghetti, chicken parmesan and the creole eggplant. Every dish was delicious!!!! The service was really good. Definitely a favorite.

If you like flavor, don t go here. The shrimp and catfish had no flavor. It s like they didn t use any seasoning at all. The French bread looked beautiful but tasted so bland. I was highly disappointed with the food.

I m giving the restaurant 3 stars because the place was nice and the service was great.

A restaurant for locals, this place has been around since the 30's. This place is usually packed and the waiters fly through the aisles slinging food and collecting dishes in whirlwind. Food is good and red beans and rice probably one of the best I've ever had.

You won't need a menu: you'll have whatever is the special that day. And no: it doesn't matter which special or which day. My favourite restaurant in New Orleans, which also makes it my favourite restaurant in the country.

Server was kind, attentive, and helpful. With that said, food was overpriced and bad tasting. 11$ for turtle soup that tastes like canned beef stew. Overcooked and slimy catfish that was drowned in red sauce. Couldnt see the fish under the sauce. Wed catfish special. Takes real balls to toss stale shrimp and canned peas on an 18$ dinner. Felt sick after a few bites. Better places to eat in LA, avoid this and go somewhere deserving of your money

We really enjoyed our meal and our server (Tim) was great. We asked for his recommendations from.the menu and he did not steer us wrong. The atmosphere was busy and bustling but really homey and authentic. I'm so glad we stopped in!

My friend and I went there-Monday around 12:00 noon. We ordered the seafood platter with soft shell crabs and gumbo. The gumbo and crispy garlic french bread were delicious.Platter was huge and enough to feed about three people. We enjoyed our meal very much. And we are going back again.

Let me tell you! This absolutely the best and most delicious Italian cuisine I've had in the city of New Orleans. The staff were very friendly. The waiters were funny, friendly, and very attentive to our needs. Just an awesome meal and atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!!! Ty Mandina's and compliments to the best Chef in New Orleans!!!!!

First trip it was excellent. Food was delicious!! Went back same day the next week and it was a little different experience. Food was good but Portions were smaller on the Veal in the Veal Parmigiana. Corn beef was dry but tasted good. First pics are from first trip. Wait staff is always great and will let you taste something so you know what to order next time. Gumbo is probably best I ve ever had (besides mine)

Serving old-school, home-style New Orleans food and service. Key ingredient: real butter. Don't bring your diet here. Do bring a sense of humor and a big appetite! If the place is packed, be patient, grab a drink, and chat with the locals.

With all the good food options in this food city Mandina's should be near the top. While locals and visitors could and do spend much more on food Mandina's is simply one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. Always outstanding food no matter what you order and generous portions.

Classic NOLA faire, big selection of different friend platters (some grilled) and Italian favorites. Portions outweigh the price. For example, seafood platter I got last night will be a fish sandwich today, and an oyster salad with shrimp tacos tomorrow. Waitress was quick, nice and mouthy in a great way. Felt like going to the neighborhood Italian restaurant I grew up with. Don't come here for avant garde food.
