Authentic New Orleans cuisine at its best! Full bar and menu with all the local favorites. The seafood gumbo and bread pudding were delicious! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Parking available onsite and the surrounding streets.

The gumbo was very very good, smokey and delicious. The fried oyster and catfish were perfectly fried, juicy and crispy until the last bite. The drum was the nightly special, stuffed and delicious. The service was quick and wonderful even though we were one of the last to leave.

My fave place for lunch on a Sunday!! The oyster and artichoke soup is to die for... fried seafood plates are delicious as well as the sauteed crab fingers... Hidden gem that you must try if you love seafood :)

Best seafood I've had in a long time! (From someone who hails from DFW, to be fair) The wait staff was incredibly nice, and the atmosphere was inviting and friendly. All four of us split 2 seafood platters, and we probably could have done fine with just one. Amazing fried seafood

Ordered grilled shrimp at $25! What I got was plate full of boiled popcorn shrimp...no seasoning. Spoke to manager to no avail. Got better attention and service from the young man who clears table. Very disappointing!

Great food! My brother & I split a seafood platter. The fried filets were fresh, the shrimp and oysters were delicious and we fought over the crab. Excellent service even though it was close to closing time. Prices were not-too-high, $27 for the platter (menu says "market price" for the platter). Our cousins eating with us had wonderful food as well. The oyster po-boy one had was huge. We didn't order any of the Italian menu items, yet seeing them on nearby tables -- that's whst I'll order next time.

While visiting family in New Orleans, Mandinas Restaurant was recommended to us. We were not disappointed! The food was wonderful and I would encourage anyone to order the trout almandine. I was especially impressed with our server Kevin who was very attentive and fully explained the menu to us! Kevin made our experience at Mandina's a truly memorable one and we will definately return on our next visit!

Hotel was good needs to try experience its own rooms to see why layout does not work. 2 sinks no towels near by. no counter to put hair dryer. no counter to even put brush or tooth brush cup of water curved edges on sinks so no sides to place anything

Love it or hate it, Mandina's is a institution of New Orleans. It's butt ugly pink building sits proudly on Canal St despite Katrina. It's always great to go for happy hour and rub shoulders with the crazy old people that are regulars there. The food isn't bad, crab fingers are very good. Also the fish with the almonds, very good there.

We love Mandina's Restaurant! As locals we visit at least once every six months, we celebrate family events or just visit to enjoy the food. The food is consistently great, the atmosphere is usually loud, but tolerable, the dress code is anywhere from shorts to wedding attire, no one will be or feel out of place. I highly recommend this restaurant, they never disappoint and the price is good for the quality of the food.

Horrible experience from start to finish. After being seated we were greeted by our server. She was very obnoxious and condescending towards us from start to finish. The restaurant was very dirty. Floors were full of garbage under and around our table. As I looked around I noticed it wasn t just our area. The bathroom was a total disgrace as well. We were given our drinks and my wife ordered a split of prosecco. She then noticed her glass was not clean. The waitress took the full dirty glass and returned with a clean empty glass. When we asked her what happened to her drink she stated did you want me to dump it back in or something? Uh, yes, we paid for it. Another member of our party was so angry he went to speak to a manager. The manager stopped by ten minutes later with half a glass of prosecco and stated that he could not give us a replacement bottle and the half glass was all he could do. Thanks, but no thanks!! Dinner went on with very bland food and poor service. You would think service would improve after the complaint.. but not here. I don t recommend this place to anyone. It s hard to believe this place has been around so long.

Old fashioned Italian restaurant with a creole twist, right off Canal St. Where all the locals eat, multiple rooms, great for large groups, huge portions so think about sharing. Start with the eggplant parmesan sticks for the table and a drink while waiting. Went for appetizers and drinks and left not wanting dinner. Oyster artichoke soup hardy. Gumbo rich. Family style.

There were so many good items on the menu that we had a hard time choosing, AND we were hungry. So we over ordered because they provide huge portions. They will split orders to share and this way you can taste a variety and then roll yourself home with a very full but happy tummy. Can't wait to go back!!

The food was delicious. The staff was very accommodating. After we paid and left to get ice cream, we had to return to use the bathroom and they were totally cool with it. Parking is strictly for patrons of Mandina's so be aware.

If you're a tourist and want to eat where the locals do, Mandina's is a short drive or street car ride on Canal from the French Quarter. Avoid the tourist traps. Mandina's has been open since 1932 and offers authentic New Orleans fare with great service.

Any time we meet friends in NOLA we eat here.
Over the years the quality and food has not changed much. That is a good thing. Another good thing is they now accept credit cards. I would hate to eat a meal and not have the cash to pay for it. But they do have an ATM machine around just in case

I had a 1/2 and 1/2 shrimp poboy fully dressed an a unsweetened ice-tea. Sometimes the unsweetened tea can be bitter, but this tea was good. It's the first time I've visited on a Monday morning the open at 11AM and there were already a few cars in the parking lot waiting to go in. It wasn't very crowded and we went upstairs and had a pick of which table to sit by. We sat by the window. My daughter was a little chilly as we were near the A/C-so she went to get a jacket. I was just fine. We go an appetizer of onion rings-piled high and my daughter got some fries on the side-and she said wow when she saw how many fries she got.

Upstairs was quiet and we enjoyed the mellow atmosphere with our out of town friends. Well we are not locals, but we get to NOLA about every other month. We will be back with other friends visiting or just to stop to get a bite to eat. As we left the downstairs area was bustling and noisy. But that's the charm of this lovely pink building. Almost like 2 houses put together.

Went on a Sunday about 7 PM. Only restaurant open. Food was good.Large servings. Service was very good.
I was a bit put off by the dirty floor. Not just dirt ,but food as well. I'm going to assume they were to busy to get to it. I've been there many times, it wasn't this bad. Granted for the price & their reputation it should never be dirty.
