This is the second time staying in the Hotel for my wife and I. We brought our children for this trip. We stayed in one of the Dynasty Suites with a city view. My expectations for a hotel of this cost are high. I encountered the following issue with Mandarin Oriental.

1st: The floors were dirty. All of the hard wood were very nasty. Feet stick to the floor nasty. Also the rug in the sitting room was stained from wear and tear. I requested with the front desk to have the floors and carpets cleaned while my family and I were out the next day.
2nd: The following day we came back to floors in the same condition. (SEE PHOTO) I would expect more out of a Holiday Inn.
3rd: The pool wait staff service was nonexistent. Forgotten drinks, two times and this is after having to get up and pace the order myself at the bar. This is because they would not come to provide service at the chair.
4th: Dinner at AZUL $48 for Scallops that were so salty we could not eat them. One bright spot the wait staff was excellent at the restaurant.
5th: Simple questions to the concierge were met with a snooty look and one word answers.

I know i'm not asking too much from a hotel that prides itself on service and for the price I damn well received it. Unfortunately I just didnt. Two thumbs down for this experience.

Check in 16:15 for checking normally at 15h and the room is not ready which for a 5 star still leaves something to be desired. Establishment rich but deserves a big refresh. Lovely staff very attentive and available. Large entrance hall with bar on the right of the reception. Great view of the bay and Miami. Once the room is ready the latter is spacious with nice bathroom and balcony overlooking the bay. Do not look below because the rooms with terrace are invaded by pigeons and what goes with it. The same is true of outdoor spaces or high chairs are available and where the same punishment applies. Be careful then before sitting down. At these same places where you can smoke no ashtray available or 1 if you are lucky. Result everyone throws his cigarette overboard or crushes it on the floor for the less scrupulous. Ditto for a trash ashtray located in a corner of larrive next to the parking valet. Not empty once in 3 days. On the other hand Service of dining room impeccable despite prices to my taste too high. No coffee or tea in the room which is still a mimimun for a hotel of this level. In the morning if you are looking for coffee there is no alternative to the pool bar or the breakfast place. I stumble upon a coffee fountain in the lobby on Sunday morning but empty at 9am. Note that on everything you consume an 18% tips is applied automatically whether you are happy or not what seems to be a common practice in Miami. Finally parking at $ 48 a night is still abused. If you are not 600m walk across the bridge there is a public parking at $ 15 a night. In summary the 5 stars are working too much approximation for the price

I'm writing this review as I stay. This hotel is by far the best hotel in Miami. The rooms are immaculate, sleekly styled , and technologically current. The spa, luxurious , sumptuous and elegant.Room service is prompt. The lobby bar is sultry with cool vibes. Azul restaurant is 5 star.I really don't want to leave!

The location is very nice, and the view is very pretty. The food was very tasty, but the portions were a bit small. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. However, we had made reservations and still had to wait an hour to be seated outside. When we made the reservation, it did not ask for outside or inside seating options. So we waited an hour just to get the the nice view. The food is fresh and very tasty, but it's a pretty penny

Ok

There is no place like the Mandarin..the best people who genuinely care about, provide the very best service, but are not intrusive. They have the nicest staff of any hotel I have ever experienced. The spa is second to none, Azul is an amazing restaurant experience, and the quiet and solitude makes two days at the mandarin feel like a eek away any place else. try it- it's great!

Nice, but slightly outdated hotel. The staff is very nice, the lobby is spotless. It always dmells great. The views are gorgeous and sometimes you can see dolphons swimming around, I highly recommend the restaurant La Mar. Good food at high prices.

Went to La Mar restaurant at Mandarin Oriental for dinner. Mother of God. The best food I've ever had, next to my mothers chicken pot pie. Their drinks are incredible as well. Great staff and amazing place. 10/10

If you are looking for a quiet retreat, then MO Miami is a great choice. It's located on its own little island, so it's isolated. The amenities and restaurants are superb, as expected.

The only setback is that it's not really close to Miami Beach. So, if you want to go party or wrap yourself with an albino boa constrictor, it's a bit of a trek to get there.

We went to the bar on the second floor Saturday night and enjoyed happy hour. The service, atmosphere, and the drinks were top notch. We enjoyed a spectacular lunch with a view of the water in the restaurant Monday. You won't be disappointed at the Mandarin Oriental.

This hotel makes up for some physical limitations in a grand way. It's the kind of hotel one never wants to leave. Must be a great place to work too as many employees wear 5 year pins.

Nice property but definitely not up to the MO standard. Service at Pool and what they call a beach was absolutely terrible! No towels, no one attending to drink orders...just horrible for a 5 star hotel. Not going back

As a Miami native who comes back and visits 2-3 times a year, staying at the Mandarin Oriental Miami was a magical experience. They were able to get me to forget about terrible Miami traffic and attitudes. My entire stay I didn't have a care in the world because I knew their staff was already a step ahead

Situated on the "private" Island of Brickell Key, the hotel features an colourful international selection of guests. Downtown Miami with the Central Business District is close and features a number of good and solid restaurants in walking distance. Our suite was spacious but cozy, with a large sitting area which works wonders on rainy days.
The hotel has a pool area and an additional small "beach", both in the south westerly corner of Brickell Key, perfect for catching some sun rays. The food served there was in our time prepared in a food truck near Brickell Park - that might have been because the main restaurant was under renovation, but was perfect for a guilty pleasure of heavenly burgers and fries in the sun. The one thing that makes the MO standing out is the staff: every single staff member is really aiming to make you feel welcome. The attention to the guest is remarkable and I would stay there again in an instant.

My Wife, daughter, and I stayed at this hotel when we were under mandatory evacuation due to a fire. This is a first rate hotel, with kind and efficient staff and exceptional accommodations. They were flexible, understand and capable team of employees. Five stars!

We received a special deal from American Express Platinum who I trust to find fine properties when we are away for short stretches, and did they ever! We had an offer of 3 nights for the price of two and trusted that the five star rating was legit when we decided to take an excursion from the Palm Beach area during our 2 week stay in Florida. The biggest thing about the stay was the the impeccable service from the moment we drove up to the valet. From the Special requests for food not on the menu during the Super Bowl because of our diet restrictions to the special delivery of plate and silverware service with wine opener, to a drilling of a canopy for my wife on their private beach, nothing seemed too big for the staff to jump on with pleasure. The included breakfasts didn't hurt either with an impressive spread to choose from. Turn down service always in place, this hotel truly warrants 5 stars in every way including value.

Wonderful hotel. A little further from South Beach than we thought it would be but still reasonably close. Room was clean, beautiful, and we got a beautiful view of downtown Miami and the water. Would definitely stay here again.

The Mandarin Miami is simply the best! Starting with the courteous valet and bell staff to the complementary tea at check-in, the excellence starts immediately. The rooms, beds, views are top notch. This hotel exemplifies the Mandarin Oriental brand.

Went to MO Bar on a rainy Thursday. It was uncrowded and service was relatively prompt. We were pretty happy with the sushi and drinks. We wrapped up our drinks on the small deck overlooking the shore and bridge. All in all, it was a great place to catch up with a stylish and intimate atmosphere, while not feeling crowded like so many other Miami places.

Went to La Mar for Sunday brunch and unlimited drinks. They had a wide variety of meat and seafood appetizer buffet items. Then a side of fried rice, main entree, and to end they gave us a shelf filled with desserts like what you would find from high tea.
