Mandarin Oriental Hotel Miami Review

Very impressed. Spa was very nice, massage was fantastic and relaxing. Staff was all very friendly, particularly the pool and beach staff. Really lovely location right on the water. We walked by the water and saw some dolphins! Happy hour at the bar was a fantastic deal and food and wine was very good. Parking validated for the spa and we were able to use the other facilities. The sort of experience that's certainly worth paying a premium for.

They have the most amazing Peruvian restaurant named La Mar. top notch service and food

Poor poolside service, food runners not familiar with the products they were serving.

We ate dinner at La Mar. It was delicious, unique, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and there was a spectacular view.

Went in with my mother for Miami Spa month to get massages. Excellent service from start to finish. Valet attendants were kind and courteous, everyone in the lobby was polished and professional, and the staff at the spa was perfect. Very relaxing atmosphere and facilities are gorgeous. Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.

Beautiful bar and restaurants. The live guitarists in the lounge were phenomenal. I didn't want to leave.

This hotel is spectacular, so much so that I chose it to celebrate my marriage there. It has a Peruvian restaurant that also has spectacular food and excellent atmosphere. The hotel bar has happy hour every day where you are treated spectacularly. The rooms all look out onto the bay, they all have an Asian aroma. Your Spa is first.

We stayed for a week to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was very nice (both in the hotel and restaurants.) The suite had a beautiful view of the bay and downtown.

I was not happy coming to this place on our honey moon either. It was nasty,slow service, rude staff at valet the african valet guy was rude' the towels were nasty and dirty, and also for the amount of money we spent would not expect for the elevators to be down for 2 hours the first night here. We had the staff out side yelling at us for having drinks from our rooms demanding us to finish them now.... Really pissed me off him talking to us like that so desrespectful. Worst experience of my life on our honey moon.

La mar restaurant located in the hotel is the best one for fine dining with beautiful view of Biscayne.

Beautiful appointments and helpful staff, as expected from a 5-star hotel. Mandatory valet parking with undisclosed $50 surcharge needs to go. What happens to the folks who budget their stay to the last penny and then get hit with a checkout charge they didn't know about for a service they never wanted? I am perfectly capable of walking to the check-in desk from a parking lot with a weekend bag. Also, snack offerings in rooms should be complementary for a $300+ per night establishment. Or at least be labeled as an extra charge. Shouldn't be necessary to call the front desk to find out that the 6 oz. package of candy on the table will cost $8.00.
FIVE STARS should mean pay for your room and put your wallet away while in the hotel.
We DID get comped for the parking and a small room service order, due to a difficulty communicating with the desk our last night, so management was very accommodating in making things right.
Would visit again, but without the car and forewarned.

Great hotel located on a small island with beautiful views on the financial district and nearby downtown Miami. The rooms are clean and spacious, the service is great including the on-site facilities (infinite swimming pool, private beach, the spa, the restaurants). Great place if you want to rest with upscale atmosphere!

The place is beautiful room etc. Staff is very friendly. It's a very swanky place. However they charge for everything and its pricey. 15$ a day for wifi access? However my stay is not complete yet. It's only been night 1 of 5 so I can't give a complete full review

Been here 5 times over the last 2 years, great customer service. Dining as well.

The only reason I'm leaving even 2 was the receptionist Anyela. Booked a room with a balcony get there to check in and they say" Oh we are undergoing construction you won't be able to use the balcony" I asked why they didn't say that while booking and was told "the owner didn't want us to tell anyone". Horrible way to run a business. They gave us 75$ off but come on..... The money paid here I personally would have booked elsewhere.

Stayed here for 3 nights at work event. I received amazing service. Every employee went out of their way to assist. The room was large and the bed and linens were extremely comfortable. The bar and onsite restaurant was great. Something lacking for me was coffee in the room. I like to have a cup of coffee as soon as I wake up and the room did not have a coffee maker or keurig. I believe there was an option to have a carafe of coffee delivered to your room if you filled out a form the night before, but it wasn't complimentary. The other issue I had was my shower was broken. There was a mounted shower head and a handle hose attached to the wall. The shower head mounted to the wall would not work.

Very high levels, optimal services and the rooms are beautiful. Also the location of this hotel is enviable! definitely superior class ... the staff is very kind ... I was there a few months ago ... wonderful

You notice it immediately. This is a hotel where customer service is taken seriously. You see it at the friendly reception at check-in, the good service at the pool and "beach", and room service where they don't just deliver food, but make sure you can enjoy it in the best possible spot. It's not just the service that is fantastic. The hotel location is great, and you can enjoy some sunshine on the "beach" watching the yachts go by, or enjoy the city lights or a view of Biscayne Bay from your spacious and luxurious room. Top class through and through. The only thing that annoyed me was the steep charges for the wifi. In this day and age it should not be necessary.

I went to the Mandarin Oriental yesterday to see a guest, dropped the car in the vallet. I had a nice blue blazer in the backseat. When they returned the car the blazer was no longer there. Seriously? A 5 star hotel and this is happening?? The vallet person played dumb and pretended that nothing happened.

This hotel deserves a 10+. We were there for a conference and the hotel was excellent. The restaurants near the hotel were really good.. Also if you didn't want to drive, there plenty of transportation you could take. The staff including valet parking were so helpful. But overall a great place

We spent a fantastic week with my wife in the resort and on the Mandarin Oriental, Miami.

I came to Miami for business and stayed at the Mandarin for a work function. I would not recommend this hotel for personal or business stay in Miami. It was significantly outdated, overpriced and provided very limited service. Upon check in, the only available restaurant only served brunch no a-la-cart menu ($95-125/person). You have to request a coffee pot and blow dryer (these amenities are a standard in most hotels) and despite our companies significant presence at the hotel, they would not grant a late check out. I d recommend staying at the JW Marriott just an 8 minute drive up the street if you plan to visiting this area.

My favorite hotel in Florida and I even stayed for nearly 2 weeks. The rooms always smell amazing and the spa is second to none. They offer wonderful room service and all of the staff are great. Dont forget to check out the restaurants on the property as well. The views alone are worth the price and I would definitely stay again.

Way to expensive and the wife and yours truly had a double massage and they did not know what a good massage is....400 dollars later they still expect a giant tip. Way better to stay elsewhere. Save your money.

This place you will not run into by accident it's connot tucked away in a little corner of brickell and the parking situation is very challenging it looks like you can only do valet to get here but once you get in as a very lovely high caliber resort with lots of space to run small meetings as well as get togethers and a great place to stay with a nice ocean view on some of the rooms

Expensive valet service for daily dinner guests. Feels more like a Westin than a Mandarin Oriental. Cheap lobby lacking any spirit.

The Mandarin Oriental, Miami location is hands down one of the best upscale hotels in Miami. Overall my experiences there have been exceptional. Aside from the hotel itself, it's in house restaurant, La Mar, is delicious and offers a breathtaking view of Brickell/downtown Miami.

I was only there for drinks and a bite to eat at the Mobar. The staff is great, great service, and probably the best sushie in the city. It was lunch time so nit much going but I loved it
