This place is beautiful. I went here for a fancy black tie work event. The whole space was elegant and gorgeous. Service was also very good. They have turn down service in the evenings. Their bathrooms have a soaking tub and a very nice shower. Be warned the mini fridge is prefilled with goodies so do not expect to be able to store food or leftovers in it. The mini soaps and lotions given are wonderful.

The staff were lovely. Everything was very clean. We were dissappointed in a few things, was not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The rooms look like we could have been at a Hyatt. A few things-there were holes in our pillowcases, no bath gel in the dispenser, we ttied to order off the holiday menu and were told it was not offered though that is not specified on the menu. The menu was also only digital, paper options should be offer We also ordered 3 cozy blankets prior to arrival and only 1 was delivered. They were missisng little touches-turn down service, some kind of welcome gift.

That hotel was just perfect. We loved it. The room was perfectly decorated, with a super comfortable bed and view of the Potomac. We had room service for breakfast, and the food and coffee were both really good. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite places to stay in DC. Spent an entire week there and enjoyed every moment. Loved coming back everyday to smiling faces saying, "Hello!" after having sent off with a fond farewell each morning. Easy to walk over to the Jefferson Memorial; a bit dark in the evening though with minimal lighting so I would recommend doing it before the sun goes down. Happened to have a room with a view of the memorial and that made every morning and evening glorious.

My daughter loved her panda and enjoyed the pool and the lovely green space in the courtyard. We found it quite kid-friendly but she was ten and very low-key so it may be a tough spot for younger kids or those who need a little more space for loud romping. There is a CVS across the street for snacks and drinks and the hotel provided a well-sized mini fridge that made the week easy to manage and much more cost efficient.

Oh, and the bathroom is an absolute sanctuary! Loved it! Spa is uber expensive, even for the city, so I did not partake but I adored sitting by the pool after a workout. As for location...it is on a quiet cul de sac and bit removed from the noise which we personally liked. I do believe that the rejuvenated Wharf District will change that. Additionally, it is a very easy walk to the National Mall and you will get to walk right by the Department of Agriculture's farmers market on Fridays (?) which is easily one of the best I've been to and I come from an area where they are plentiful. It is a real market too...not one with a head of lettuce for sale and a bunch of food trucks.

Enjoy the luxury and location of a wonderful experience if the cost is not prohibitive. I would definitely do it during an off-peak time too for improved cost efficiency.

The location is fantastic, within a few blocks of the national Mall. The staff and service are actually phenomenal, the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful regardless of the time or request. While I can't speak to the regular rooms, the suites were beautiful, the beds we're comfortable. An easy 5/5 experience.

Great experience at this luxurious hotel in downtown DC. Superb location, friendly staff and excellent breakfast buffet and restaurant make this place a winner. Big kudos to Adam and Pong at the bar, especially the latter for his creative drawing and vibrant petsonality as a oncologist. Stay here and you won't regret the experience!

As a guest, my experience was five stars. As part of the event staff for a large program, my experience was a solid three stars. Average between them = four stars. The showers in the guest rooms are amazing - as is the bed.

I've worked events/programs at 25+ luxury properties all over the world, and found the tier 1 support (servers, house staff, and other staff on the front line) to be rather slack compared to others. The banquet and sales managers were exactly what we expected - competent, quick, and personable. Everyone responsible for executing their/our wishes was not. As a specific example from my experience: the event staff office is customarily given the same or often better service than the event guest spaces. There wasn't a morning our dirty bfast dishes sat on our workspace tables for less than 2 hours after the food service ended. Sounds petty, but the only difference between good and great properties is exceptional service.

Phenomenal hotel with very caring staff who are incredibly attentive!! The club room (private access) is aces in every aspect! My husband's company uses this hotel for annual meetings. It's my favorite place and hotel that I look forward to going to, on my husband's trips! I could very easily stay in the hotel and never leave it during the entire stay, and be incredibly happy and content!! I very highly recommended this hotel!!!!

This is a great location. It is close to most major attractions but set away so there is not too much traffic noise. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the staff is very attentive. Room Service was a bit slow, but the food was very good. It would be nice if there were a few more restaurant or bar choices in the hotel.

My wife and I stayed there over the 1st weekend of April for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Had a fantastic time there. It seems to be a busy time for the hotel and the city. The staff were great still! Our room was perfect! We especially like the large bathroom with the tub and separate shower. Will stay here again when we return to DC.

Very expensive with nothing included. You can't even get your own ice without tipping. No refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, or good close by dining. Pool is also only 4ft deep across entire pool. Just ok for the price.

Larry and Andrea (manager and concierge) went out of their way to find us a crib for our 16-month old, without which the night would have been disastrous. Their friendly service, along with the lovely stuffed panda bears for our two girls upon check-in, the delicious breakfast buffet and the luxurious room with a view of the water made for a pleasant stay. The location was also quite convenient and made for an easy walk to the smithsonian museums and many of the monuments. We will definitely be back for our next trip to DC!

Tucked away just minutes from the US Capital Building is an oasis of tranquility. Step out of the crowds and overwhelming tour of the museums and monuments and relax. A welcoming and always accommodating staff sees to your every need. And the world famous Mandarin spa treatments will not let you down.

Always a good time when we stay. Staff catered to our every need. We were looking for a relaxing staycation and it was definitely that. We did not leave the room at all for our two night stay.

It was a truly beautiful hotel and has a wonderful spa. I was looking for a hotel in DC that would be great for a regular "mommy's get away". What I got was a room with fleas. I was then moved to a room that had mud stains and human hair in the sheets. When room service came to deliver new sheets, that is exactly what they did. They handed us the sheets to change the beds ourselves. They did have the Room tested and came back positive for fleas. They completely admitted it. They offered to refund my room. Even after checking back twice they never did refund me for the bill.

We enjoyed our staycation. All of the staff were excellent from the doorman to the registration desk person. Check-out person The spa staff was outstanding. We're definitely returning. Can't wait for the restaurant and bar to reopen. Room was nice and sterile! Very nice experience especially during COVID.

What you'd expect out of the brand if you're familiar with the Mandarin Oriental line of hotels, but if not, it's a top of the line hotel in a great part of the city. They were extra sure that they catered to my pregnant wife's every need during our stay there, the room was just gorgeous & all of the service was impeccable for all the many services offered there, from bellmen to concierge & room service- everything was great.
