Had a recovery day scheduled here before I flew out back home, called and canceled me last second and wanted to reschedule me just before I flew out, not happy at all and scrambled for other places for last minute options. Not how I wanted to finish my vacation.

When it comes to massages... If you're like me, and no one can ever press deep enough then you should ask for Troy. He gave me the most amazing massage ever. Plus he has good energy which made me feel even more relaxed. He is the best I wish I could take him home with me.

Not a great spa. One of the greeters when you walked in was on their phone. Looked like DIY tile work and everything was dirty ... mold here and there. All it would take is a good cleaning crew to keep the place up. Furniture was beat up and the lockers had electronic locks that didn't work ... they locked but didn't unlock. The attendant wasn't any help resolving that issue. Massage was great. Wouldn't go back.

This place is FILTHY. The beige carpet is literally black because they never clean it. I could not sit on the furniture because it was very dirty. I cancelled my reservation and never had the services because of the poor cleanliness. Please check out other reputable spas in the area.....

The photo attached is my wife's response to her review. Shes called and left a message with them twice AND emailed them. No response from anyone. Not only what my wife said, but she also forgot to put that her salon lady told her she should be scared to marry me because we met on Facebook. (Were from the same state), then proceeded to tell her that shes on her 3rd marriage and the guy she met online lied to her about who he was and what he did for work, 'but they're working it out'. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.

Worst spa experience ever. I ended up more frustrated and stressed than when I came in. Regular massage are 50 minutes and my husband and I asked for a 30 minutes extra. It was clear at the desk but somehow the therapist did not get the message. As for the massage, I think the therapist has actually massage me for 5 minutes. She spent the whole time washing and tossing the hot stone in the oven and in the sink. She was so loud doing it that it was impossible to relax. When we left, they charge 20% gratuity without asking and I only realized when I left. That kind of crappy massage definitly don't deserve a 35$ tip for 50 minutes. It is sad because the place is beautiful but the employees make it looking like some cheap spa. And don't plan to relax with you significant other since the baths and relaxing area are not mixed.

I wish I would ve read the reviews before wasting my time on this rude and dirty spa. Worst massage I ve ever had. At the start of the massage she asked if I had any areas that needed attention and stated my back. She started with my upper back then never touched my lower back. I could tell the massage was close to ending so I asked about my lower back. That s when she decided to argue with me and state she did my lower back. After, the Front desk personnel were also rude when I told them she did not start with my lower back and they did not seem to believe me. This was supposed to be relaxing. I left more stressed then when I walked in. I won t me back.

Jacuzzi jets didn't work. Rolled towels for use were a mess. Steam room out of order. No shared pool for my husband and I to share. Showers were dirty. I posted one of the shower heads. Messy storage rooms open for guests to see. Only plus was the lady at the front desk was very nice, when she was at the front, which was hardly ever. Luckily a day pass was free with hotel stay. Would be more upset if I had to pay to use. This hotel is wonderful though! But don't recommend the spa.

TLDR: For a free visit it works, definitely don't pay to come here....

If you're staying at Planet Hollywood, the visit to the spa is included in the resort fee. Because this was a free visit, I have no complaints . They have complimentary fruit, juice water, coffee and tea and offer a robe and locker . There is both a steam room and sauna, but as of 1/3/2019 the steam room was out of service... would I pay to come and visit ? Definitely not... they really need the following:

MUCH softer lighting
Deep clean and put in new carpets
Provide sandals
MORE SEATING !!!!!!!!!!!
Did I mention softer lighting ?

Finaly thoughts ? I Would have been disappointed if I paid to come here, but for a free inclusion in my stay it was satisfactory. Also, the staff at the front desk was INCREDIBLY helpful and let me come in before my check in time.

This spa could definitely use a remodel. I can't believe how the rest of Planet Hollywood was so nice and modern but but the local YMCA is cleaner than this place. Planet Hollywood please give your spa a face-lift!

I have been to Mandara spas before and have come to associate the brand with quality. Unfortunately, the Mandara spa at Planet Hollywood did not come close to meeting those expectations. The relaxation room was uncomfortable and had dirty carpet. The furniture throughout is made of uncomfortable wicker and is topped with old, dirty, threadbare cushions that no longer provide any buffer from the hard wicker below. Some pieces of furniture are broken. The lighting is harsh and and does not promote relaxation. Employees spoke loudly to one another during their personal conversations in the relaxation room, making it difficult to disconnect. The jacuzzi looked dirty and it s walls were covered in a waxy substance. The bathroom I used was not clean. However, while the amenities leave much to be desired, my massage was enjoyable. It s a shame the spa is so far below the standards set by spas in other hotels on the Strip. I would avoid going here and spend my money elsewhere. The services they offer are too expensive to not be accompanied by adequate amenities.

When I arrived at Mandara with my daughter for our Spa Day, I found my reservation had been made at the Paris Mandara instead of at Planet Hollywood. The Spa manager Susan inmediately worked to move our reservation to Planet Hollywood and canceled our Paris reservation. The treatments were amazing and the staff was all very friendly and courteous. What could have become a very upsetting experience was made perfect by a wonderful manager and staff!

Terrible experience. My husband and I stayed at the Planet Hollywood for our babymoon and he bought me a 50 minute prenatal massage at the Mandara Spa there. The "massage therapist" walked in the massage room to begin and I happened to glance at the clock...it said 10:13 am. Throughout the entire massage, the lady kept talking about pregnancy, back issues...etc. The problem is, she didn't just talk while she massaged, she would literally stop, look at me and talk and then not massage until she was done talking about whatever it was she wanted to talk about. I looked at the clock when she was done and it said 10:50 am. We bought a 50 minute massage and she massaged for 37 minutes!! I was so frustrated! That doesn't even count the time that she took talking to me and taking away from the massaging!! I will NEVER go back there.

Horrible experience and service DONT WAIST YOUR MO...

Horrible experience and service DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY, it's a SCAM. Staff Elizabeth Viera, Christian Ruiz and Smitty Smith are the most unprofessional, disrespectful and rude employees Mandara spa has. I visited the spa to get a facial and massage while at the spa I took a quick emergency call, Smitty the staff attendant immidiately demanded I get off my phone, I stated I would hang up immediately , and that I was wrapping the call up. She followed me to my locker and demanded I end the call that moment, I told her it was an emergency and I hung up, apauled by her rudeness I asked to speak with her manager, Elizabeth immediately approached me with the same with a rude demeanor, telling me I should have known, I apologized and stated the phone was put away, she scolded me like a child as she continued to harass me, I asked to speak with her manager she stated the manager was not avaibale she was the boss. Then a young man Christian came into the spa loung where it should be private for women only and stayed he was the manager (he lied, he's wanst the manager he was a concierge staff) Christian stated customers who use their phones need to be escorted out! What kind of spa is this?? They kicked out a customer who is paying money to enjoy the spa and have a fantastic experience, The staff is young and way too agreesive with customers I visited the spa to spend money and get a relaxing experience, my day was ruined by their rude, disrespectful and poor service! I will never go back to that spa.
I called security and also placed a grievance in writing I recorded the rude experience and placed a complaint. Upper management needed to be aware of how badly customer are treated when they are not around. Management needs to hire customer friendly employees and also check their video surveillance To see just how horrible the staff at Mandara Spa is. I will never go back. This makes for the worse experience ever.

This is the worst place for facial. We opted the basic facial but they recommended mandara signature facial after entering into the facial room and while doing the facial the oxygen device wasn t working properly, after that within 1/2 an hour they told its done.

the most unrecommended place for facials. Please cancel all your facial appointments.

Worst massage experience. Public changing area where you have to strip into your robe while employees and other guests are standing around and walking by which isn t the most comfortable situation. Told to arrive 30 minutes early but I was sat there waiting until after my appointment time while everyone else that arrived after me got taken in for their massage. The masseuse talked to me the entire hour, which for any other service would be fine but I was not able to enjoy the relaxing massage whatsoever. I would highly suggest not going here considering it s extremely pricey for a terrible experience that also automatically tips 30% for a massage I was unhappy with.

Amazing and Friendly customer service from Andrea. She was detailed, thorough and knowledgeable about all the services. Booked appointments immediately because of her pleasant and helpfulness show over the phone. Also provides us easy directions to get to the spa.

Upon arrival Andrea greeted us with a smile. Then continued to explained services in more detail.

I booked an upgraded facial and deep tissue massage. Kelly my facial esthetician was very helpful in providing the best info to help me choose the best facial. She was informative and gentle. My masseuse provided a super deep tissue massage.. she was the best I ve ever had.

We will definitely be back to this spa when visiting LV again.

November 2019.

November 2019.
Great massage by Eddie and Jennifer, we both thoroughly enjoyed them. I would go again but after a tour seeing the renovations.
It is not the massage therapists or esthetician it is the place, review and reset and watch your business flourish better than before.

The WOW factor and smell of aromatherapy is missing. I did not relax in the hot tub it needs to be updated, caulking needs to be done asap! Massages are a luxury and from beginning to end this should be present. Lavendar, mint smells should captivate clients as we surround yourself around the spa.
I noticed on old reviews months ago locker doors are missing, they still are! Small wins help business and repeat customers. Thank you!

Had to put a star, otherwise I wouldn t put one at all. Added hair and makeup to my package with the chapel for my wedding day and I would NOT recommend. My therapist was unprofessional and absolutely not experienced enough to be working there. She said, I think this is the best work I ve done... regarding my hair and my 3 year old niece could have done a better job. I showed her photos, like she asked. It was suppose to be bohemian and flowy she did two tight braids across the back of my head and called it a day. I had a line around my neck from the makeup, she didn t blend anything, had a line at the top of my hairline and around my eyebrows. She didn t blend the eyeshadow either. She also said she was amazing at contouring- and there was NO contouring. Would NOT recommend.

Wonderful relaxing spa oasis in a run down old casino. This spa is unlike the rest of the hotel. It s a place to exercise and then rest and rejuvenate your soul. The spa is divided by men and women s sides as the areas are both clothing optional. There s robes and slippers and lockers to use. You are greeted and assigned a locker you put your own code in for safe keeping of your belongings while you enjoy the amenities. They have a large hot tub with soft jets moving the warm water. There s also a hot and dry sauna. The dry sauna is cedar and the wet sauna is made with subway tiles. I quite enjoyed the wet sauna. I booked an 80 minute full body massage. The massage therapist, Gerry, was very skillful in his task. I had a full day at the spa one day. There s a full spa menu including manicures, facials, haircuts and makeup application to name just a few. You can go to the fitness centre first and get a workout in and then relax and enjoy the spa offerings and then take a shower with all the toiletries provided for your use. No need to bring all your soaps and shampoo or razor with you. It s all for the taking. They have bottled water and it s either room temperature or refrigerated as you prefer. There s also fruit and coffee in the lounge area while you wait for your massage appointment or other services. The staff come and get you when it s time for your appointment and escort you there and back. I would highly recommend this spa.

Worst experience at a dirty spa!

Worst experience at a dirty spa!
Starts with Masseuse Todd who took it upon himself to focus on my shoulders & neck, never massaged my legs or feet. 45 minutes.
I slipped and fell in shower due to it being oily and wet! I fell directly on my back and elbow!
Not 1 person in spa area entire time, as I m yelling for help!
Todd in front area. I tell him what happened-he says he will get someone. Megan from front desk comes back. I ask her to come see shower and how I fell she s says no need twice.
I finally tell her to please come look and she does. Megan asks if I want an ambulance. I say no- she brings me a form to fill out and says someone from Human Resource (which is not even correct department) will get in touch with me that day. I had to ask for bandaids, as my elbow was bleeding.
I went back 2 days later to speak with someone. I have called 5 times to different departments. I keep getting wrong numbers. Finally a very helpful Christine from Human Resource tells me she will email & cc me correct contact. I get a phone call within 5 minutes from Shawna saying she will forward my info and someone will get in touch.
I still have not been contacted! 9 days!

I didn't actually go here. Since you have to pay a day fee to use the hot tub at this hotel it is located in this spa. Looked lovely from the outside, but pretty disappointed to find that paying a grand for the hotel isn't enough to use the hot tub.

It was just ok. The seating in the relaxation area was dirty and most of the cushions were wet. So it was hard to find a comfortable place to sit while waiting. The steam room was out of order. I paid extra to add a stretching massage onto my treatment. When I went into my my massage I was asked if I wanted to add hot stones to enhance the massage. Of course I did! I had the body wrap and for what seemed like a 1/2 hr while I was detoxifying in my wrap, my massage therapist was just sitting down in the room. It was hard to relax being watched like that. When I checked out I asked and they said that the hot stones replaced the original massage. It would ve been nice to know that ahead of time. And they charged me for both! Later I called to discuss again. And never complained about the seating, steam room or my therapist just sitting there. They agreed it should have been an add on. They said a supervisor would call me back. The therapist called me instead! We discussed and of course she said the stones enhanced the massage. I agreed but said it wasn't explained to me as an add on. To which she agreed. But offered no compensation. I won t be back.

this gym needs ALL new equipment. Its an embarrassment to such a nice hotel.
The treadmills are so old its possible unsafe to run on them. The buttons are faded. My biggest issue with all this is thw fact your forced to pay a resort fee for a gym wirh equipment that needs to be on the curb! I love this place but please update the gym

As a frequent spa goer, this spa has been the WORST experience of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt completely discriminated against, denied services, and demanded to pay "way more" to have a medical condition disability accommodated for, besides being kept against my will through false imprisonment by its staff. Per the legal advice of several attorneys, complaints will be filed with the Nevada Equal Rights Commissioner, Nevada ADA Assistance, and Federal Department of Justice, besides possible lawsuit for civil rights violation and ADA discrimination.

Oh my god! I can't believe I have to say this, but this is the best spa ever! I got my hair done and it was so cool. I asked her if I can have long and wavy hair. I showed her pictures and it was so glam of what I saw in the mirror. I just thought that I had the best service in this resort. If I had my other friends with me, I would recommend them and we could relax in the hot tub. This is where I would definitely go to relax!

Made an appointment on Friday for a couples massag...

Made an appointment on Friday for a couples massage on Saturday. Was very explicit about how I wanted to use Reward Credits to pay for the spa package. They told me that they need a credit card to hold the reservation and to charge the spa visit to my room to be able to use Reward Credits. Saturday rolls around, I tell them the receptionist the same thing. We get our massages and leave. We check out of the hotel on Monday and what do you know, it didn't get charged to the room. My credit card is charged instead. Be EXTREMELY careful and explicit about your payment method apparently. I called them back and they told me that because I was checked out that they can no longer help me.

As for the actual massages, they were mediocre at best. The men's whirlpool was down. The actual spa area is small compared to other spas throughout strip casinos. The staff was generally friendly. Probably won't go back.

EDIT: Concerning the "We'll look into changing payment method" reply.... Yeah they definitely handed it in a very unprofessional way. Just stay away from this place all together.

1/15 - I call the Mandara Spa to see where the miscommunication about payment method came from. I am informed that because I am already checked out of the hotel they cannot change the payment method. I explain that the entire reason I went for these services is because I had a surplus of Reward Credits. If I didn't have them, I would have never gone for these services. The same day, I leave a google review stating everything up to this point and get a response that they will look into changing the charges over.

1/31 - Called to see if any progress had been made. A seemingly understanding woman listened to everything so far, emailed me a receipt, advised me to call Total Rewards to see if they could do anything (They couldn't) and she would continue to look into it. She told me she would reach out to me again. That never happened.

2/5 - Called and asked to speak to a manager. Was told that said manager was currently in a meeting. My contact info was taken and I was assured I would get a call back. Never received a call back.

2/6 - Called and asked to speak to a manager. Was told that she was unavailable at the moment and I should call back tomorrow at 8:15.

2/7 - Called right at 8:15. Asked for manager. I am transferred to managers line. No answer. Doesn't even have a voicemail set up so I could leave her a message. Called the spa back 3 times over the course of 15 minutes. All 3 of them went to voicemail.

So we've established that this place is mediocre at the very best. And we've established that if there is a problem, management would rather just ignore you completely. The way I see it, there is absolutely no reason to go to this spa. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Get a lifeguard in a pool to give you a shoulder massage. Your experience will likely be better and less expensive than anything this "spa" can offer.

This place truly surpassed my expectations. Super chill spa, excellent facial. The esthetician was gentle, professional and did not pressure me into buying products or other services. The atmosphere and vibe are just what a spa should be like. Relaxed, quiet, private. We had called many other places but from the first call, i could tell Mandara was exactly what we had been looking for all along.
