Make sure you visit the Maid of the Mist if you go to Niagara. It is the best way to understand the size and majesty of the falls.

Loved this and I've done it many times, but when did it get SO expensive? $30 for adult admission, $21 for kids 5-12...

The trip that can be remembered for life time....As the journey starts, we come acoross american falls...Everyone will think that it was Niagara falls and feel dissatisfied...Within few minutes, all opinion will get changed once we reach the actual falls which is Niagara falls...This journey is experience but not just a simple ride....

An experience that you shouldn't miss if you're at the Niagara..

Great ride, great views, we were lucky to have a very sunny day which gave spectacular rainbows but we were very glad to have arrived at about 9:30 (no queue and straight onto the next boat) and not 10.30 (crazy long queue)!!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about this boat tour! It s the only way to truly experience the magic that is Niagara Falls. The tickets are very reasonable and the boat voyage itself is well worth the wait. Plus, you get to keep the cute poncho if you want!

The boat trip is worth every penny. You have to experience it. It is best to wear shorts and shoes that can get wet.

Excellent ride, have tonget there early to get on line. We were there around 815am and were right at the front. They sell out quick. Also if you want to get wet and close to the Canada falls, when you enter the boat go to the right side of the boat, the side that faces Canada. You will get soaked. Great ride highly recommend.

Definitely a must do thing here. If you came to see the falls - you better do this or you will miss out on a big part of the experience. During summer when the lines get crazy long, go in the morning. I took my family of 4 there on a Sunday morning in late July and were there shortly after it opened in the morning. We got on the second boat that morning after waiting about 20 minutes in line. On the way up afterwards, we waited less than 10 minutes for an elevator up. I've seen the chaos during crowded conditions and you will want to avoid that.

All I can say is WOW!!I have family from back home visiting Toronto. We went to show them Niagara falls and Maid of the mist. So far every single one of them it was an experience of a lifetime. Few of us have taken 2 rounds of the Mist.

All I can say is WOW!! When we have friends from out of town and/or State visiting we don t let them leave until they have taken a ride on the Maid of the Mist. So far every single one of them have thanked us for encouraging them to do so, and that it was an experience of a lifetime.

Wife and kids agree, it was worth the price of admission. Loved it.

A "Bucket List MUST" I think. Gives a new angle on the force of the Falls.

Must do. Lines could be long but pretty fast moving. The experience is worth it. Kids have a blast.

Excellent... Economic cost. Best place to see the illumination from Maid of the Mist tower; its open for all after sunset (7/8PM)

The ride was perfect and everything we hoped for. The staff on the other hand seemed miserable and disgusted to be working. We greeted with goodmorning and hello and we got dirty looks and negative comments "leave me alone"not very friendly for a tourist related job.

Must do attraction at Niagara! Prepare to be in awe with the power off the falls, its an awesome 20 minute ride on boat, which gets you really wet (you get ponchos) if you stand on the open deck. Worth the 19 bucks and you get entrance to the observation tower and Crows Nest trail too

A wonderful experience. My children really enjoyed it. Great view from the top of the elevator. Long lines are the only downside to the whole thing as it moves a little slow to exit and enter but worth the experience at least once

Came here for the Memorial Day weekend. Worst day of my life.

Quite an experience. Spectacular. Very organized they really move everyone along very orderly and friendly a must do event. They supply the ponchos but if you are worried about your shoes head to the lower deck and the can stay dry there upper deck you run a higher risk of wet shoes but experience is more intense on the upper deck. The lower deck is better if you are anxious or get sea sick. Either side you board from during the trip you are free to move up and down between the decks so don't worry which ramp you get on from. I have been on both the American and Canadian trips and they are the same as far as where the go and boats they use the experience is the same. The bottom also has a few viewing areas after the boat ride for some great pics.

My husband and I went on Maid of the Mist boat tour yesterday, and it was awesome! I do recommend getting there early as it does get busy, we got there at about 9am and it wasn't very crowded yet.

Hearing the thunderous rush of the water as it comes over the falls is one of the most amazing sounds you will ever hear.
Wear a poncho or rain coat, otherwise you will get soaked!!

Maid of the Mist, Niagara Falls, is a favorite of ours. We have visited the Falls from both sides of the border, on the US side the view is incredible as we are able to see the river as it gains force to become one of the most beautiful sights we have seen.

On the Canada side, Maid of the Mist offers a ride that takes us so close that we get soaked. Another great experience of the forces of nature at play. Don't miss it!

Bought my ticket and waited in line to go down the elevator. It was extremely hot, but then some parts of the line were eventually shaded. Once you go down the elevator they'll give you a plastic poncho and then you have to wait in line again to wait for the next boat to arrive and for the people to get off. The experience was really crazy. You're just surrounded by the falls and would be completely soaked if you didn't have the poncho. Once you get off the boat, you have to wait in line to go back up using the elevators. I just thought it was strange how there were stairs connected to the area where we were, but they wouldn't let us go up them --we HAD to use the elevators even though they said one was down, causing the extra delays to get back up. That caused the line to be almost unbearable and definitely over 1.5 hours (maybe even 2). I'm assuming this isn't a regular thing but it definitely took a lot more time out of the day and made a unique experience feel less fun with all the waiting even after the event itself was done.

What a view! Line moves fairly quickly and is organized well. After the boat ride, take advantage of walking up the stairs along side the falls. You get up close and personal with the mist. Lots of rainbows as the sun shines through the water droplets. If you are planning to do the Cave of the Winds, do that first! You get an awesome pair of sandals worth wearing, so you save your shoes. Otherwise, plan on it....your shoes will be soaked. We weren't so smart and had to wear wet shoes the rest of the day.

The ticket process was a bit of a zoo, but kind of forgotten once you experience the falls. How awesome and cool to be surrounded by roaring water. It was also worth the "Wow!! Mom this is amazing!" From my 13 yr old son...that doesn't happen much anymore! I can't believe I waited this long to experience the falls this way. It is a must do on your visit list.

Awesome experience! Get there early to avoid crowds. Several parking lots & a parking garage within a 5 minute walk. The garage cost $30, but good for 24hrs & you can leave & re-enter with no additional fees.

Always a good time, def. Worth the money! One of the coolest way to see the falls at one point your surroundings are 85% waterfall which is always my favorite part before you turn around trip lasts about 30 minutes so a little shorter than I would've liked but with taking the walk to the side took around an hour!!

Maid of the Mist is the name of a boat tour of Niagara Falls, on the border between the United States and Canada. In service since 1846, it is one of the oldest active tourist services in the world. The tour begins in a backwater of the Niagara River, on the American bank of the river, next to the Rainbow Bridge. The boat tour begins at the American Falls, then the Bridal Veils Falls and finally enters the dense fog generated by the Horseshoes Falls, to finally return to the starting point. If you are going to see the falls, of course you must do the boat trip. Seeing them up close and hearing the sound is impressive, it is like a fine rain, they give you a raincoat and underneath you can put your bag and it does not get wet.

You must do this. We got lucky and didn't have to wait in line too long. We did it Friday afternoon and again Saturday morning first thing.

If you don't do anything before you die, ride this boat!

WOW! Not something that you can do many places in the world.

Worth it! .. as powerful as it looks from the top ... So much more so on the boat.

I was nervous about doing this but a friend recommened it so I did it and it was so worth it! I'm so glad I had the chance to do this it was so amazing, must do it again!

A must do for Niagra Falls. You will get wet. They give you a plastic poncho with logo. Also rubber sandels. Nice keep sakes. Great gift shop. Good quality. I bought a aqua color rain coat/wind breaker. I wear it all the time.

Awesome experience to feel the Niagara falls..... must go if visiting Niagara falls for first time.
