It was great but there were no bathrooms on bbn board and the bathrooms outside downstairs were closed and I got wrong directions to the nearest bathroom. But the boat ride was amazing! Just have more accessible bathrooms.

Spend $20 which is worth every penny for incredible views & Once in a lifetime opportunity to get that close to the falls. This is a must do if visiting the falls. You get on this boat, put on your poncho and enjoy one of the world's greatest wonders. The boat takes you very close to all of the falls which is impressive. You do get a little wet. Upon exiting the boat ride, you have the opportunity to climb stairs to get a closer view of the falls and you can also view the falls from the observation deck at this time. Also, it took about an hour from standing in line to getting off the boat. Lots of waiting but it s worth it.

This was a great activity. The line up looks long however it moves fast! So don't worry! 35 minutes of getting slightly wet as you do have a rain poncho. We enjoyed the greatness of the falls.

Try to go on a weekday. Be prepared to get wet. Water shoes recommended.

If are reading this review, you should definitely take this tour! I went to the Niagara National Park yesterday(Saturday, 3 p.m) and decided to take the boat ride first. We had the Discovery Pass that we bought online and thought we could just skip the line and get to the boarding area. That was mistake #1. We still had to wait in the long line, and it took well around 30 minutes to reach the ticket counter, just to realise mistake #2. The online confirmation with the QR code is not enough; you have to go to the information desk, present the confirmation email and your I.D, and then collect the Discovery pass for every person in your group. Nobody tells this, be sure you don't make the same mistake. After collecting the passes, we went back to the line, and waited another 30 minutes to get to the ticket counter. Finally we got past the counter and I was relaxed. Mistake #3. It was not time to relax yet. I joined another long line which was moving extremely slowly, and had to spend around an hour in it, to reach the boarding line. That's a total of 2 hours under the hot sun to get to the boat! We were in the top deck, to the left of the boat. The boat ride was around 20 minutes and every second of it was amazing! The breathtaking view of the falls was worth the wait I went through. If you stay on the left side of the boat, be ready to get drenched in Niagara's goodness. It is a lifetime experience. Try to go in a bathesuit or at least water shoes. They do give the ponchos, but it is no match for the fall's shower of love. Enjoy every bit of it. Once the boat ride was done, I was expecting to be out soon and get to the observation deck. Surprise, I got out of the boat just to join another mile long line! It was almost as long as the one that I was in before! Kids were crying all around, and I could hear people cursing for coming in on the day. You are kind of locked in there, as there is no other way to exit other than taking the elevator which cannot even be seen until you are considerably close. They definitely need to come up with alternate arrangements for getting people in and out, or limit the number of visitors like how they do it in the Cave of Winds. I went back to the park today(Sunday) and the line was not as bad as it was yesterday. May be I went on a wrong day at a wrong time. Loved the ride, not the line!

This was a DREAM-COME-TRUE boat Trip. An absolute MUST SEE, MUST DO when you are in Canada. Actually for us it was the main reason to come to visit Canada. Buy your boat-tour pass at least one day before, better choose morning session. More

Amazing experience, and great value for the price.A must thing to do!!!They take you all the way to the edge, and the view is breathtaking. You do get protective wear and the water is so cold and it hits you hard. You may opt to not wear this and get drenched

This is based on going on the American side tour. As you are walking up to this location, you'll be funneled into buildings where they sell you "adventure packages". Skip that and keep waking. Maid of the Mist is only $12-16 depending on age and background. Check online for current rates. Do not buy the $50-75 packages unless you plan on going on all the tours included. You can also pay to just get onto the overlook to take pictures or view the falls from there. If you don't wear the rain poncho included in the price, you will likely get soaked unless you're on the lower deck away from the sides. If it's hot outside, don't put on the poncho right away as you're going to bake under that plastic. If it's very hot outside, you may enjoy going without a poncho, the mist will cool you off. Once on the boat, the best view is on the left since the boat travels slower to the furthest falls, faster back the other way, so you get to see more of the falls (and less of Canada j/k). There are trails and photo opportunities close to the falls after you exit the boat. You'll exit the area through a gift shop.

We weren't sure whether to do Hornblower or Maid of the Mist, and i think essentially Maid of the Mist has more history and seemed to be less crowded than the Hornblower. There's also access to the observation deck and you can go and see the falls up close with your ticket. Absolutely worth doing and you will get more wet than you can imagine! Wear waterproof shoes if possible, the deck gets very very wet and my feet were squelching for ages after!
