No Reflection on the Boat, I SO WANTED to go. The only day we could go, it was raining, cold, & windy. I have MS & was in a scooter so I rode onto the walkway OVER the falls. I did a Chevy Chase take like he did in Vacation, looking at the Grand Canyon, looked for a moment & wheeled back to the elevator's which is also where people deposit the yellow rain poncho. ALL I could think of was Jim Carrey interviewing the old woman on the "Maid of the Mist" in Bruce Almighty (Fun Fact: that scene wasn't shot on the actual boat but in front of a green screen) & I laughed so much. We didnt have the Best weather. Now? We're in the middle of a heat wave, I'd be on that boat in a HEARTBEAT! You go BEHIND THE FALLS, How Cool is that? Is definitely RECOMMEND The Maid of the Mist!

It was a 2 hour wait to just buy tickets. Very disappointed. There should be reservations online for tourists.

My family had the best time . Well worth the trip and the price I would recommend this event.

Definitely do it. You will get wet, even with the poncho, and a rain coat. It's incredible the power and noise from the falls. A powerful experience.

Awesome boat tour except "Thunder Water Show" which cost about 20$ and does't met our expectation.
Cost of food here is very high, better to prepare food not to buy here.

Absolutely gorgeous view! The staff was polite, though the elevator ride down was extremely over crowded. The views are breathtaking from both the observation tower, as well as from the boat. There is also a walkway up to the the American falls that you could go up after the boat ride. You should go prepared to get a bit wet. There is also limited railing space on the boat and the ride gets a bit Rocky. Overall, it was an experience that would be great for anyone!

A MUST if visiting Niagara Falls. I have ventured on this tour twice in 6 years and both times I have become overwhelmed with giggles! Such an amazing experience and beautiful sight. I definitely recommend standing along side the boat exterior walls to get an fun, wet, and windy experience.

You MUST ride the upper deck to get the full and "wet" experience.....then walk up the side of the falls....

Great way to experience how powerful the falls really are.

We had a great time. There is no other way to experience the falls. When you pass the American falls, you get a little bit of spray and some wind. When in the middle of the horseshoe falls, YOU WILL GET SOAKED. The wind generated by the falls and force of the spray is amazing. I would recommend getting a dry bag or a fairly waterproof backpack to wear under your poncho.

One tip given to me by one of the staff members...if you buy the Discovery Pass, go do the Cave of the Winds first. They give you a set of water shoes (sandals), included with the admission. These will come in handy for the Maid of the Mist.

Just out of the world. Such a fascinating ride right in the heart of the Niagara. Breathtaking experience.

Maid of the mist was a long wait but it was a good experience. It was so pretty from the top waiting and on the boat. I took a video on the boat of the falls. Very nice and staff was amazing. Made the wait at the bottom interesting.

This is one best place to watch in US.Wow what an experience . Once in a life time experience.

Niagra Falls is the most beautiful place that everyone should see. I don t recommend from the New York side unfortunately. I visited Niagra Falls for the first time in 20 years only to be greeted by a rude staff before boarding onto the boat. I understand that informing safety information to customers is their number one priority, but the company must trained their staffs to improve customer service. First time customers should be aware of their awful rude staff members. (although some of them are nice) This incident ruined my experience and thought nothing but terrible things about this company. The attractions is amazing, but organization is in need of an improvement. Honestly, I liked the Canada side of Niagra Falls because the staff members are the best. Prepare early to beat the lines and your experience will be amazing. I just wished my experience was worth the 6+ hour drive.

It's one of those moments that take your breath away... It was AMAZING, I now understand why it's called one of the 7 wonders of the world.

A must do if you're in the area to get the full experience and see the great view from the Canadian side.

LINES ARE TERRIBLE!!! read 2nd half. Such a great experience to get upclose. Hard to move around so many people packed on. You get really wet!!! We were on lower deck off the right front.

20 minutes to get tickets and we thought that was long, oh where we so wrong. It took an hour and 20 minutes or more before we got on the boat. And the full hot sun, nowhere to go, packed in like sardines with other people that are not happy either. Literally taking baby steps at a time to move up. Lots of times foreigners would push their way through and separate our family. That is frustrating because then nobody wants to let you get back with your family. We were just excited to finally get on the boat even though they pack everybody am we just wanted to have the experience after such a long hot wait. I had to use the restroom the whole time and never could until after we got off the boat and back down past the ticket booth. However! Be warned!! That we thought once we get off the boat we were free and can move on with our day oh how did we have the horror and shock standing in another line that was over an hour and 40 minutes long in the full hot sun again, no water no bathroom breaks pushed up against people taking baby steps again but now with even more people very very unhappy like us. Being separated at times fighting to be back together. All because the park has failed to put steps in that would lead out as an exit for emergency situations or for abundance a visitor situations. There are four elevators that take only 13 people at a time up. It takes forever. You have thousands of people trying to leave the boat as the boats just keep bringing them back in and dropping them off quicker than people can get back up and out from the elevators. They finally saw the need of the Heat and people needing water they brought a standout that had Tiny Little Dixie cups to pass out water but not until you got close to the elevators. We felt bad for 1 gal a teenager passed out look like from heat exhaustion on the ground. There certainly was no from what we saw urgency at all from the staff to get her out and help. We were so upset, are children ages 7 and 10 or upset and exhausted. What was supposed to be this great family moment and experience turned into a Unforgettable horrible memory that they will have forever. Because we did not want that we decided to visit Canada side the next morning for an hour and a half and build them a greater memory. Canada side is so lovely and beautiful and well kept. The crowds are not anything like on USA side. I talked to people getting on and off the boat they said it was only about a 20-minute wait and when do they are released from the boat they can walk up stairs to get out. If I would have had to do this over we absolutely would have skipped the USA side. Canada has the best view in anyhow. Again be warned about the lines. Take a back pack of snacks/water but know you may have to hold it/bathroom break for up to 3 hours. The bathroom was gross. Super smelly, wet, and dirty. Good luck and hope your experience is nothing like ours.

Such an amazing experience! You can't truly visit Niagara Falls without a ride on the Maid of the Mist. The day we went the wait wasn't more than a 45 minutes. The line kept moving quickly. The rode on the boat was so fun. It was 95 degrees with a heat index advisory that day and the cool water from the Falls was a welcome treat. It's just so neat to see the power of the water coming over the Falls from that vantage point!

Awesome view of the Falls. Plan on getting soaked. Our boat got really up close and personal with the water the plastic sheath that they give you to keep you semi dry.... Is mainly just a souvenir.

The ride in the Maid of the Mist boat is one of the most fun you can do in the Newyorkino side of the Niagara Falls, it is not very expensive and if you want you can buy a package of attractions for around US $ 45. And have fun for two days in this tourist area.

Everyone should experience this at least once in their lifetime!

Boat ride is cool, the disorganized chaos when getting off the boat is a different story. I expect to wait for tickets, wait to get on...what I dont expect is having to wait to get out. We were pretty much trapped in line waiting to get out for over an hour in blazing heat with no water available. People were getting aggressive, tired, people trying to entertain their kids, people not having anywhere to sit. No ty. I'd never do it again. And youd think if you bought tickets online you wouldn't have to wait in line at the ticket booth. Pretty disorganized.

Takes you almost directly infront of the falls. Must do if you visit the USA side of the falls.

I visited here several times. This is one time must visit. but if you are visiting second time onwards you may not get excited. I heard canada side view is much better and the boat experience may be same for both sides.

This was not the trip I remember as a kid. Lines are very well controlled, staff is super friendly, and the experience was phenominal! The view from the top deck of the boat is the absolute best you'll get anywhere, Canada or US side. We even waved to our out of country nieghbors on the way around the horseshoe falls. Do not miss crawling up to the Crows Nest landing afterward, and keep your poncho if you want to stay at least partially dry doing so. Thanks Maid of the Mist staff and crew for a fabulous family fun time!

Awesome experience but only one boat and the lines were ridiculous 2.5 hours on line with no cooling stations and wearing masks I'm surprised nobody got sick or passed out

Very misty (nay, wet)! Great up close view of Horseshoe Falls. And we got close! Unless you cower on the lower deck, you will get wet! Cool experience.

journey by Maid of Mist Boat is best part of Niagara visit. Its such overwhelming and cathartic experience every tourist to Niagara fall should experience. the breathtaking views of American falls and Niagara falls from Boat are truly extraordinary awesome.

Truly a unique experience. A waterproof camera and swim goggles will make sure you see everything and capture great memories

You can see the American Falls perfectly but the horseshoe falls was so misty and awesome! Make sure you have something waterproof like a plastic baggie for your phone! It was so intense to see such raw power!

Breathtaking views of the falls! When we went the day was warm and sunny, and we could see rainbows everywhere! A must do attraction when you visit Niagara falls.

The boat ride was great, and the views were beautiful! The booths to buy the tickets should've had one lane for those customers that had the Discovery Pass because getting through was fast, kinda like the EZ-pass on the thruway. We had to wait longer for those paying by cash or card. The wait to get on the boat wasn't too long, maybe about 10 minutes.

This was one of, if not the best boat rides. The views are amazing and once you get up to that falls, you can feel some of the power of the falls. This is must do experience. I will do this experience again.

Loved it. Good price. Friendly staff. They give you a poncho otherwise you would get wet. It runs every 15 minutes, no long wait.
