The best of the Niagara Falls tour, however just be a wary of the fact that it's not open during winter and spring. It's open only between May (mid) until October. The website is unclear on this aspect.
I don't need to give any details about this - otherwise - a MUST go tour!
Wow !!! It was amazing !!! What a view we encountered..... Worth a ride ! You have have babies too and you can lock your strollers in boat ... Go to the front tip of boat either upper or lower to enjoy the breeze and scenic view
Best way to enjoy the amazing Niagara Falls, especially if you don't cross over to Canada. Be sure to buy a memento later! Be ready to get wet!
Incredible boat tour and great experience. See Niagara Falls like never before.
Never got a chance to ride because the line was so long. Also even if you order and pay for your tickets online you still have to stand in line. Haven't they heard of a priority or online tickets line? What's the point of having an online option if you still have to wait?
A must for any American visiting the falls. All of the Canadian passes now includes the Hornblower boat which is like the maid of the mist. We didn't do the passes based on that.
An incredible experience to enjoy more of this beautiful place.
This is a must do when visiting Niagara falls. Absolutely breathtaking.
Cruise on this boat is a must-do attraction regardless of the weather! A great experience, especially after reaching the waterfalls. Remember to tie the plastic sheet well under the neck, because you will get wet on the bank :)
Epic view. Well worth the $19.25, & perfect for pics... best $80 spent on our trip to the Falls. Wish the boat ride was longer!
What a great experience! The boat tours are both memorable & full of fun.
You really feel the power of the falls!! The boat takes you pretty close to the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. The trip is exactly the same from the American side or the Canadian side. They used to be run by the same company but no more. The American side has a nice viewing platform. You will get wet if you don't use the provided poncho. Take care of your cameras as they will get wet too.
You really do feel the power of the falls as you get close to the water... as close as I would feel comfortable with safety wise. You can get the same feel if you do the behind the falls tour.
After you finish, be sure to walk up the steps to appreciate the American falls up and close.
Best view. If possible avoid weekend. Waiting time will be less if go on weekdays. Take mobile rain cover. Take place in the front of the cruise.Go to cave's of the wind as well. It's fun to get weight in fall.
We had a lot of fun on this boat ride. While informative it gave us a very up close view of horseshoe falls. Expect to get WET. THE UP CLOSE VIEW IS AWESOME. I highly recommend this for people who like adventures.
I lived it there. Hard to believe that you look across the river and you can see The United States. I miss travelling.
Nice trip but is a big problem the seagulls are too many and the seagull drops stinks so much is digusting on the american side.
Slow service. They don't bother doing proper boat maintenance and end up inconveniencing customers when the boat has issues
AMAZING! Best part of the trip. It was so beautiful..water gorgeous, easy to find, access to board was easy. Loved it.
Quite an experience! Worth a long and tiring trip from the coast.
Bring goggles if you want to stand at the front of the boat as being close-up to Horshoe Falls is surely going to get your face soaked with the salt water. Really good view of both waterfalls. It also plays an audio history of Niagara Falls for anyone interested. The boat stops for an acceptable duration for people to appreciate the view. It is a little expensive though to buy a boat ticket for adults but it's worth the cost.
Amazing tour and fun experience, worth every penny! After the Observation Deck we went down to boat. The boat takes to all three of Niagra falls: American, Bridal Veil and Horseshoe (main one). Good arranged ride.
Our three generation family went during the week. After I bought tickets we spent 20 min on the way to the boat, and 15 min on the way back.
Friendly warning! Avoid holidays, weekends and high sun (12-4 pm). Or at least put sun screen, take water, umbrella, and be ready to stock for couple hours.
Awesome experience highly recommend was really fun.
Staff where super polite and very officiant. We bought our tickets online in advance, definitely would suggest it! Lines moved quickly, there where allot of tourist (many of which where pretty rude) besides that it was an amazing experience! Will get wet :)
Very reasonable price for the awesome experience. Considerate employees. Very congested trying to get back to the park after disembarking. Actually took longer than the wait to get on and boat ride together.
Great place friendly staff outstanding views it's a must do
Even though I was scared, I still absolutely loved it. Such an awesome experience. Nice gift shop at the end of it.
Loved the view from the boat! You can see the falls from the river.
I really wanted to take the boat ride. Unfortunately they don't open until at least mid May and for good reason as there was lots of dangerous ice in the river at the end of April when we went.
The management is rude, there's no way to call and ask any questions. Their website isn't very user friendly and when they say the last boat is at eight and you need to be there fifteen minutes early, they mean twenty plus. I learned that the hard way.
As cool as this boat experience is, they manage the social distancing horribly. I read some nice reviews suggesting they don't let two separate group to take the elevator together, distancing 2as managed well.. etc. Our experience is exactly the opposite. For the elevator rode down, they put us together with another family of 5 (we are with a 8months old 3 people) and there is also a person brings you up and down in the elevator, which may at normal days takes 12 people but no way you can be 6 feet away. On the way up, I requested to ride it only as a family and they accept it but be strict and ask. The boat was jam packed, whomever was there for the next boat they just boarded, no head count took place. Once people get on the bus it seems the covid concerns just disappear. All it matters is to get the best spot, so they just kept moving around without mask in some cases some came as close as our shoulder. I was mislead by the previous comments so I thought I write this for those who may check the reviews as i did.
Repeat guest that was lucky enough to experience the falls through a Six year old's wonder and amazement. Short lines during the week. The park restaurant expensive for the greatest view.
Great trip. Will be better when the boats are electr6
It was something incredible I loved it only that things are a bit expensive
This boat tour gets you up close to the beautiful Niagara Falls. Be prepared to get wet! This is a must do for everyone visiting the falls. They need to add a separate entry line for customers that have already bought tickets so that you don t have to wait in line with everyone else who are buying tickets.
Once in a lifetime experience. If you haven t done this tour you have not lived yet. (And that s on periodt.) Got soaked inside out but was completely fine with it. Nothing like a boat ride to cool down your body in the middle of summer. Highly recommend 10/10. WARNING!!! Do not wear nice clothes on this ride you are bound to get SOAKED!
Get up and go early to beat the crowds. Just a sidenote parking is difficult on the American side. The crew though that does the boat ride are very nice and they keep the lines moving even during holiday times.
It was truly an unforgettable experience. We got quite closer to horse shoe fall. Better be ready to get your shoes soaked in. Take care of the cameras getting dampened.
They have a racist supervisor, here at Maid of the Mist. Making blatantly racist post online.
Super fun and memorable experience! I remember my first ride with my grandparents so clearly (despite the fog), I would definitely recommend it
From my first ride 20 years ago to today, the Maid of the Mist is so fun!
A great boat tour in the mist of Niagara falls... Makes us most thrilling experience
Great experience! You really feel the power of the water! Even better without the raincoat...go get wet! It's really windy though, so that's will want to fly.
Wonderful and up close experience of the Niagara falls
Do it! There's nothing like being in the middle of the falls
They are still cramming people on the boat and not even bothering to sanitize the railings or boat in general before rides...go at your own risk...
Incredible. No words to describe the beauty of Maid of the mist.
Loved the way mist felt on my face when the boat got near the falls
That was a great experience to see that majestic lady very closely. Very friendly staff and it is worth to pay 19. Free access to observatory tower. It takes only 15 mins to tour. Go early to catch up a less crowded boat. Store has many niagara souvenirs
.they have deals also.
We recommend! Very impressive! And you drive to both waterfalls! Also to the Canadian! "The Austrians"
Long wait but it was worth it. Tried on Saturday and it was sold out by 11 am so they told us to be there on Sunday at 7am if we wanted to get in and we did.
A ride on the Maid of the Mist is one of those things everyone should do once in their lifetime. The ticket line moved quickly, but there may be a fairly long wait to actually get on the boat. It was in mid-July so it was quite hot and the waiting line area is not covered. In the summer, wait until you're on the boat to put the free poncho on or you will roast while waiting. Once you board the boat, it leaves pretty quickly and it cools off immediately. You get incredibly close to the falls on this ride and you will get soaked if you're on the top level. You pass by the American and Bridal Veil Falls for a close view and then head straight into Horseshoe Falls. The boat gets surprisingly close to the falls and you will be surrounded 180 degrees by a torrent of water. I couldn't imagine going to Niagara Falls and not taking advantage of the Maid of the Mist.
A must see! Listen to the staff and everything will go great!
Best tour ever. I would ride that boat all day every day.
So worth the money! Going into the falls is an amazing sight to see!
This is the best thing to do at the falls you ride the boat right up to the falls and there is a walkup area that you can walk right up to the American falls
Adults 19.25USD A little cheaper than the Canadian Hornblower. It was so close to the waterfall that it could not open its eyes properly because of the spray.
There is a way to get close to the American falls after getting off the cruise, but not as much as the Cave of the winds, but you can experience it a little bit more (if you take a cruise,
When you get on the elevator, you can see the waterfall from the observation deck, which is definitely better than the viewpoint that is a little past Maid of the mist
Maid of the mist and horn blower
Great experience with Maid of the Mist. You must try it to see how amazing is the tour...
Beautiful always.
Gives you a great view and feel of the Falls.
Must do for anyone visiting Niagara Falls.
It s only in the summer though, so plan accordingly.
