My wife and I really enjoyed this tour and the whole park of Niagara Falls in general. We're actually planning another trip back this year! I encourage ALL couples to go and get that experience together!

I went for a walk early the first time I left. The service is fast. And there was no long line. They give raincoat that is really necessary to use. The ride is smooth and safe. it was worth doing and I recommend doing it.
While it's a classic tourist activity, Maid of the Mist doesn't disappoint with the spectacular views of the Falls it provides. My partner and I were handed blue ponchos while on the way to the queue, and were definitely more than a little wet by the end of the run. What was almost as breathtaking, in my opinion, was the view from the observation tower that you can see before and after your ride. You may also pay to only access the observatory tower area, forgoing the tour itself.
If this review helped you out, please help me by giving a thumbs-up. It would be much-appreciated!
So worth going on the boat. They literally take you into the middle of the horseshoe. The view is like nothing else and it was a lot of fun for us. They provide a poncho but your face and probably sleeves will get wet.
A must tour for anyone who is in Niagara Falls. Be well prepared based on the time you are going. Weekends especially on a holiday season, it will be crazy. Better to be taking early ride to avoid much crowd. A spectacular view near to falls. Try to be infront of cruise so that you can have great view all along cruise is going to the falls. Be prepared to get wet if you want to else you can always stay away!!
OMGeeeee! Let this be your first stop when you come to Niagra Falls! A one of a kind experience. As you get closer to the Falls to get a "splash" of water in your face is an understatement! You get a beat down of water that feels like tiny hail balls and the wind blows really hard. We could barely see and I blindly took photos hoping for a good shot. The boat ride is short but I'd gladly do it again. Husband and grandchildren were all smiles!
I really appreciate the professional and positive attitudes of all the staff. They were helpful and smiled. Much appreciated as they really made for a great experience. I only with the Maid spent more equal time with each side of the boat facing the falls. The right side got a much shorter experience.
They dont care about their guest, no planning at all,you wait for 3 hr in quee and they tell you no more ticket for today. They run only one of their boat without social distance and make people to suffer from. They put zero effort to help people to decrease the waiting times etc, i believe they try to convince people not to visit niagara falls!!I observed and canada side send 3 boats when US side only send 1, canada side has 30 40 people in line, us had 500 600 in line. It is shame such a great place is managed that poor
1st things 1st... People's safety: The 3 stars would've been 5 if they tried keeping people safe when exiting the boat. There's safety measures when waiting to get on (mask and tons of social distancing markings all the way through the line). I was impressed. However when the experience was over everyone crammed together shoulder to shoulder to leave - being packed on the dark/wet lower level of the boat like sardines and since it's a wet ride, I'd say 75% of the 150 or so crammed people weren't wearing their masks anymore. Which negates all earlier safety measures.
Now the experience: It was awesome. The kids loved it and everyone that worked there was very nice.
This is a special experience and can be described only by experiencing it. Such a special experience only felt at Niagara as I have visited so many falls in different countries I have visited and seen the videos. The boat ride towards the falls from the pier is unique. You wear a water proof coat and everyone in the same outfit and anxiety and expectation written on their faces. Once the boat passes the American side and approaches the mist created by the falls on the Canadian side one will be presented with a spectacle only to be seen to believe. The spray from the mist and the surrounding will give you a special feeling. Please do visit to believe and to experience the effect.
It was a long wait and the boat was really crowded but it was well worth it for the up close view of the falls. There is nothing quite like the up close roar of the massive falls.
More than worth the money. Take this tour. The views you get on the boat are awesome. Wear the poncho you are given and wear shoes that you don't mind getting wet.
We went on a Sunday and they were pretty slow. The line was still long but moved fast. The ride itself was fine but handicapped people should know there is almost no place to sit down so you are standing and bouncing all over the place from the time you board to the time you have to walk the mile back to the elevator to leave.
I love moving water, so visiting the 2nd tallest waterfall in the world when I was nearby was a must. I asked a question on here about queue times and was told to go in the morning, however just incase anyone is having the same query I had I'll say this. I arrived at 5:30pm on a gloomy Monday and didn't have to queue for a ticket. Nor to get on the boat. Perhaps if it was hot and sunny it'd have been different but I don't think it took away from the experience, I got drenched by the rain and or the mist, was hard to tell which was which when we got close to the horse shoe fall. Immense experience just to be that close, to see and hear the water. I was told the Canadian side is a better tourist experience by some colleagues so would recommend that as I was coming from Canada anyway and the US border was painful (got detained for 45 minutes for them to stamp my passport). Canadian side also has a boat tour and the boats follow the same route. Next time I'm in town I will do that but this was still epic.
We purchased the ticket online , we stood On the line for an hour +, there is only one entrance in and out , we had the rain coat on in 90 degree weather waiting for the both for about 15 minute , it s like a sauna out there .overall I don t think it was worth the wait
The Maid of the Mist sails past the American Falls and goes into the Horseshoe Falls area. When you are in the area by the Canadian Falls it is awesome . The sheer volume of the water coming over the falls is amazing. It's almost hard to believe . It is very wet and windy. They give you a rain Slicker which is longer than the average lightweight plastic rain slicker. But it is lightweight and blows around a lot. you will almost surely get wet. We wore water shoes which we had brought because we did not want to get our sneakers wet. That worked well. It was a nice warm day so getting wet wasn't a problem.
The Maid of the Mist is a sightseeing boat that visits Niagara Falls. The Maid of the Mist departs from the Rainbow Bridge, starting from the slower Niagara River, passing through the American Falls and the Bridwell Falls to the Canadian Falls. All passengers are required to wear raincoats. The Maid of the Mist began to operate in 1846, then stopped twice and resumed operations in 1893. There are now four ships in the Maid of the Mist.
Good tour but don't think I'll ever do it again. The line was long and slow moving and only tolerable due to the nice breeze from the falls. We stood in line for about 1.5 hours before boarding the boat. But leaving was the worst - it took another 1.5 hours just to leave. The set up at the bottom is very poor and because there are no other ways to the top besides the elevators, the line moves achingly slow. People kept cutting in line too which didn't help, and the staff didn't seem to care. A person in line passed out due to the heat, which was scary - there is no shade at all and they don't serve water until you're 10 feet away from the elevators. They really need to consider adding steps to the top or alternatives to leave. The current set up is dangerous and seems to prioritize making money over visitor safety and comfort.
One other thing - if you wear glasses, definitely bring contact lenses. Because it's so misty at the falls, your glasses will quickly get covered in water and you won't see anything at all besides water droplets.
Long story short - it's definitely worth doing once for the experience, but I will never do it again, especially on a day as busy and hot as today. I strongly recommend against bringing children or elderly guests on this experience.
This is a "MUST DO" on your Niagara Falls visit. Summer is the best time to visit. Weekdays is MUCH easier to enjoy. Actually after coming here several times, I would NEVER come back on a weekend. It's a very cool experience but NOT worth the headaches to visit on a weekend, and holidays are out of the question..
This is awesome and worth every penny. A must see and do for anyone. Be prepared to get wet but be prepared to smile while doing so! My son and I had a great time.
Such a beautiful way to see both the USA falls and the Canadian falls. The boat goes right into the horseshoe. Definitely a must do, especially if you are staying on the USA side. So truly breathtaking
Always an amazing experience. We do this whenever we come home to visit. Cheap prices to be able to make memories with my kids! You get right up to the falls and really feel the wind and hear the noise of the falls. You notice the power of the falls when you realize the boat is in full power forward and not moving any closer. I hope to keep up the tradition everytime we come to NY.
Good priced for the experience pretty sweet that their boats are all electric trying to save the environment wish they gave a little bit more details about how much water flows do there well little bit about the history of the park Exedra exedra
