World's largest department store which happens to be a Macy's I highly recommended especially if you haven't been inside before. You can literally walk around the store for hours. With different levels and things to do for the whole family inside of this one department store. Clothes, Electronics, food, everything you would find in your local mall.

I mean, this is where it all started. The magic of the history is well imbued throughout the building. During christmas it might be a mad house but the decorations and atmosphere are truly special. I reccomend even the most grouchy if shopper take just a little time to enjoy the pleasure of retail.

Indeed, it is a big shopping center but to find something or if you just want to spinning around it can very confused. Because the map is too simple to find anything even the logic behind where you find stuff makes no scene.

I LOVE MACYS!! Over the years, this has been the ONLY store I can go to nd find multiple things that I need from clothing, to sneakers to bed accessories, coats, perfumes. Ppl talk bout it being expensive but thats not true. They always have some sale lol or a percentage off. I bought a Tommy Hilfiger snorkel long winter coat priced at $350, I received 60% off nd ended up paying $140 plus tax. U cant beat that! The coat is very warm, very fashionable, good quality. They didnt have my size on the floor, so I asked a runner for my size nd she went to the storage on another floor nd brought it to me. She was gone for like 20 mins tops but thats not a lot considering im not the only customer shes dealing with. If u have a credit card from Macys u can get an additional 10% or 25% off. They approve u in seconds literally. It terms of sales, all u have to do is go on the internet, they have info on their beginning nd end dates. Macys can get a bit crowded tho. They have a directory on every floor, they have elevators nd escalators. U can take the A, D, 1 train nd others as well, get off on 34th street. Wen ur done shopping at Macys u can go to Victorias Secret, Gap, Old Navy, H&M or the mall. There r sooo many stores that u can go shopping to. They also have a lot of places to eat right across the street from Macys...

HATE shopping centers and the fact i had to go there. no doubt that the macy's team did a coue of PHDs and invested a lot of money to help you get lost while looking for that one item you came in for, and maybe do some additional shopping you never intended to do and surely don't need.

Customer service and selection is horrible! I'm so disappointed in the decline of this so called flagship store. Most of the sales associates wear purple latex gloves! One of the staff even had a facial mask. It's so low class. I get better customer service and selection in Target!

Not a huge fan of Macy's. This store is very popular in New York because it's located centrally right on herald's square with easy connectivity . If you're one of those people who love to shop all under one roof this is definitely the place for you.

Very big and beautiful, clean, the Christmas decorations are breathtaking. BUT... I don't like how easy you can get lost there. Nobody knows anything. Absence of info signs do not help. I would need to stand on my toes to see behind the door the plan of the floor. The signs of the departments inside of elevators are too high - impossible to read. I don't want to download the app just to be able to go through the shopping mall. I totally disliked a male salesperson at macaroon cookie place in Macy's located at 1st floor for Obnoxious comments on my accent.

With countless stores, historical landmarks like the flat iron building and the empire state building, and Korea town nearby, Herald square is a must see area for tourists and a go-to place for hanging out with friends or family for many native New Yorkers. Whether you want to explore Korean cuisine or karaoke with some good friends or eat at the Broadway Bites stands or go shopping at the largest store in the world (Macy's), Herald square has a lot to offer!

This store was so fun to visit! I was obsessed with the old escalators they are gorgeous and so cool. I needed a pair of shoes as I had worn through the boots I was wearing. I had the best customer service and he was helping 3 people at once. I didnt feel like I needed to flag anyone down and I didnt wait long at all to get them from the back.

It is HUGE! The building outside is just a whole block. Me and boyfriend had our phones on to coordinate where we are. Great discounts and on the last floor there is part of the old wooden escalator. We saw during Xmas time and it was beautifully decorated. Much more choice than in othet Macy's.

Awesome place to shop. Reasonable and great prices when you're a Macy's card holder. However, too many tourists, too much chaos. Macy's is only a go-to-place when parents visit NYC.

Not as brilliant as everybody makes out. Service bad, counterhands extremely rude. Took me 25mins to find the ladies restroom because staff wouldn't explain the location of them properly. When the assistant wanted us to move to another cashdesk because she was closing hers, she just pointed in the direction of the other queue. No explanation even though we were in our one for over 10mins. Shopped here on three separate occasions and the attitude was the same each time but different staff. Skip this experience and keep your blood pressure down. I've heard of New York rudeness but when you are on holidays and obviously a tourist why should you h ave to put up with this. Also bought some Ralph Lauren and a Coach bag, cheaper at home!

Was interested in children's clothing
Girls 7 yrs
Did not find anything attractive .
Many synthetic fabrics. Look cheap.
Like cotton and polyester because easy to take care of and can look like all cotton.
Did not find any plain light color, pink, white with small touches of color , such as a flower or butterfly, etc. Maybe I was shopping in the wrong store for the type of clothing I like my granddaughter to wear.

I spent like half an hour waiting for a fitting room. When I finally chose the dress I wanted to take, they didn't sell it to me bacause it wasnt tagged. Even worst, they didn't offer a solution. The casheer was rude to me without a reason.
