This hotel looks amazing from the outside however; it gets outdated inside. Especially the rooms feel like they have not been updated since the seventies. There is a wonderful pool but it gets crowded with too many hotel guests

The is hotel has an awesome theme however it is obviously dated. We enjoyed the layout of the hotel, the decor, we upgraded to a suite and had a pretty awesome view from our in room bathtub. The place is dark though and would benefit from some lighting throughout the hotel to highlight the unique architecture. The elevator was very slow and creeky like an old train car and someone did get stuck in and elevator while we were there, and we had to wait a while everytime we wanted to go up or down. The outside windows are all scratched and stained. Probably won't go back until they remodel.

Classy, Egyptian themed hotel on the strip. Reasonably priced. Busy casino and has some good shows in here. Connected with Excalibur and Mandalay Bay by their complimentary monorail. Stayed here once, rooms were great and the parking is tight. The overflow lot is quite a bit of a walk.

Not at all good. We reserved the luxury suite. Not what we expected. Ugly room. Couch was missing, no alarm clock, no t.v remote, no hot water and at one point no water at all for the whole morning until 2pm. Called front desk and was on hold for 25 minutes to fix all this but was never fully resolved. We will never stay here again.

Expected more from a landmark hotel, elevator was shaky & made people weary to ride. I noticed some structural probkems (chalked it up to aging) but all in all great service and nice CLEAN rooms.

We love this hotel! Its nicely located on the strip and fun to look down if you get into one of the pyramid rooms. If you don't and they put you in the tower, you get a nicer bathroom with tub and so its sixs on which is better. If you haven't been at least once, stay in the pyramid.

I love this hotel. The architecture is beautiful. The service was good. The hotel was very clean and the mask & sanitizer dispensers as well as the hand washing stations made it feel safer. Please don't demolish this icon

We stayed in a pyramid room. We checked in, and it was clear that the room had not been fully cleaned. There were dirty towels on the bathroom floor, and one of the beds wasn't made.

The outlets were loose in the sockets, so things didn't always charge. The elevator shook when moving.

The pool is very nice, the buffet is just ok, and the casino smells of stale smoke.

I stayed in a tower room with no view. The room was fine. Mostly pleasant.
The 5th floor elevator area always smelled terrible and the elevator walls were pretty dirty.
The casino was ok, not my favorite of all the options in Vegas.
The whole pyramid was pretty cool though.

This hotel needs a big restoration. For real. A very big one. It is really falling into peaces. My room had a horrible cigarette smoke smell. Beside that, the customer service needs also a personnel restoration. Some very rude people are working on this place.

The Luxor Hotel is an okay place to rest and stay in during your visit in Las Vegas.

The good points being that the staff are friendly, the rooms have nice spacious beds and the rooms come with fairly fancy bathrooms. The Janitors also do a great job keeping the rooms clean and putting it back into its original state whilst you re out for the day.

Though the rooms are reasonably nice and come with an AC, they re very loud. If you like having the AC on at night I d be best to put it on full blast before you sleep then turn it off before sleeping since the AC s have a loud rumbling noise regardless of its Low/Medium/High Setting.

If you re looking for a little snack here or there during your break in your hotel
Room the food in the hotel itself is absurdly expensive but there are convenient supermarkets close by you can walk to easily but of course just be weary of the supermarket you re going to as picking the wrong one can land you unnecessarily high prices on simple things. I d also avoid anything that needs to be refrigerated as there are no refrigerators in the hotel
Rooms.

There s also a little store in the Hotel
Itself with toiletries and food in case of an emergency but I wouldn t recommend purchasing things from the stores in the hotel itself as they re very highly priced.

The hotel also has a buffet and it s not as great as you may think it is and I would recommend having a look at the other hotels buffets and visiting them just like I did as they offered much better and tastier options.

Sadly, you ll need to pay a Resort Fee and I had no interest in using the resort but still paid it as it is compulsory, I d personally recommend using the most of it and using the swimming pool since they ll be charging that < $30 for every night of your stay.

Another downside to the hotel is the difficulty of navigating to your room, the elevators and located and places in really awkward positions of the hotel and in my opinion a much longer walk than necessary compared to the elevator placements in the other hotels.

Finally, the last downside to this Hotel is if you re trying to get some shut eye after a long day, unless you ve had enough alcohol so that the noise pretty much goes over your head the Hotel has a lot of loud music coming from one of the center Restaurants / Bars that of which is usually a band or Karaoke playing and unless you re presumably high up in the hotel you ll have trouble sleeping.( I was on the Third Floor )

We had great experience staying at Luxor. Nice staff and convenient location. Hotel room doesn t have microwave and coffee maker or fridge. Plan ahead and know where to go eat 3 meals. Their buffet has good food. Take advantage of the TRAM the free ride . If you don t know where the station is, ask around to find out.

My favorite spot on the strip! I had their specialty drink that comes in the Luxor-shaped souvenir cup ($32 that comes with $16 refills, if you are still conscious by then) and I loved the Egyptian theme. Lots of cool exhibitions at reasonable prices. We saw the Bodies exhibit for $15. There is a combination with another exhibit for a little more (I can't remember what it was because we didn't have the time for both.)

No USB power ports, the AC is kind of noisy, no fridge or microwave, the toilet seat is loud when it falls closed, the soap rack in the shower is tiny. The Wifi is pretty good and the bed is comfortable.

Located on the south end of the strip the Luxor is within easy walking distance or ride share of any destination. Room was very reasonably priced, large, clean and comfortable. There was lots to do without ever leaving the site including many restaurants, shops and shows.

The place is impressive, the pyramid shape, the statues inside, the colors... it's impressive. It's also a little dated and could use some external cleaning and internal updates, it left me with the impression of being an 80s place.

We arrived midnight and check-in was smooth. We were 'upgraded' to a Pyramid Premium Two Queen Room from a Pyramid Room. I'm not sure how it's called an upgrade, but let me tell you what we had during our stay:
1. Sticky bathroom floors plus shoe/whatever prints everywhere
2. Hesitated to use the tub because it was dirty
3. They did not come the next day to clean up the room.
4. We had two queen beds with two small pillows each.
5. No complimentary water (we didnt mind), but it would have been better to have at least one.

It was good of them to bring up dental kit when I requested for one.

There's a tram to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur which is good for casino-hopping.

Parking is $10 for 24 hours.

We tried the all-day buffet last Sunday, but that goes for a separate review.

From the above, this will definitely be our first and last stay in Luxor.

Looks nice on the outside. Rooms are spacious and the bed was comfy. But that's where the good points stop.
The shower ventilation is so loud it's like living in an aircraft.
The air-con/heater is so prehistoric it's difficult to adjust and in the end it's easier to switch it off than to switch to the heater from the air-con.
Every single lodge, Inn, or hotel that I have stayed in has at least a coffee machine if not a water boiler. This hotel has none. Simply amazing.
Hotel is located at the edge of the strip, monorail only brings you to the next hotel. What's the point?
Disappointed.

A nice place to stay. Very close to the other casinos and interconnected internally. You can also take the free tram service to few of the casinos that are but far. Buffet is cheaper compared to few others but is good.
You can also find eSports going on here which is pretty cool.

This was a pretty nice hotel for my first time in Vegas. The rooms were nothing grand. We were able to call to the front desk and get a mini fridge brought up. The whole bottom floor is a casino with a bunch of restaurants. I enjoyed my stay here - i wished i had a chance to jump in the pool but it didn t open until 9:00 am :( they do offer a military discount.

This hotel is spectacular, it is well located for visiting Las Vegas strip. We had a spacious room on the 14th floor. It was surprisingly quiet, given that so much is going on in the atrium. The walk along the corridor from the lift to the room is a bit scary, not for those suffering from vertigo.

The hotel/resort was very clean. Staff was amazing. Wife and I stayed in the pyramid and the room was very nice. We were able to upgrade our room easily and for really cheap. Would recommend this to anyone especially first time visitors like I was.

Great place but the restaurant inside were a little price compared to what was outside of it , the shark reef aquarium is great for all ages even got to see their divers clean out the tanks and they were super buddy's with the sea turtles.

Do yourself a big favor and do not stay at the Luxor unless you want to have sleepless nights on a horribly soft and dated bed
Also don t expect for your plugs to stay on walls , the outlets are also ancient and will spit your charges right out
All in all , not a very pleasant experience, had to move to Treasure Island which proved infinitely better after just one sleep

We stayed here in October 2019 for 4 nights, our flights were delayed so when we arrived at check in. We got upgraded to the tower suite. The hotel and staff are just amazing. Everyone was so pleasant to deal with. The food area was great and so handy and very generous with their portions. Staff in the casino were great aswell and so friendly. Our room was excellent, couldn't have asked for better. It was so clean and fresh. The cleaning staff came on a daily basis and kept our room extremely tidy, which we greatly appreciated. Can't wait to get back here again.

We were upgraded to newly renovated room at no extra cost even provided mini fridge for my meds as well at no cost. Room was clean and comfortable. The service was great..we had a loud group partying in the hallway, I called to complain it was resolved in minutes. Will definitely be back .

Great place to stay.. Great prices and very comfortable.... Lots to do in side..Right on the strip. Had a great time and looking forward to staying there in the future.. Definitely recommend this place.

I always enjoy staying in the Luxor because it is right on the Strip and let's face it, it's cool that there is a giant glass Pyramid you can actually stay and play in. It is feeling pretty dated. Mostly in the rooms. The bathroom during my last stay was bad enough I actually switched rooms. All in all it is always affordably priced and a good over all experience for the price.

My carpet was wet all throughout my room because it was raining not stop for a couple days. I called the front desk to ask to move to another room and they were booked so I had to just deal with it. A few of my colleagues had the same issues.

Bed sheets were dirty. Hair and makeup all over in the sheets and on the pillow. We called the front desk and asked for a whole new bedding set and 2 more pillows since our room only had 2 pillows. It took them 45 minutes to get us the new bedding set and thy forgot to bring the comforter and pillows with them. They went to go get the pillows when we brought it up to the guy that dropped everything else off and he didn't return for over an hour and a half. By the time he was knocking on the door we were already in bed and didn't even bother getting up at that point.
The customer service isn't good, but the hotel itself is okay.

Luxor ls a fun casino and hotel. It is connected to the Excalibur and Mandalay hotel by walkway and tram
Good Casino
Excellent buffet. The BLUE MEN show is great entertainment. Close to MGM, NEW YORK NEW YORK and Monto Carlo hotel. You can reach the hotel by using the strip monorail to MGM. Crossing the street and taking the tram from Excalibur to Luxor.

My experience this stay wasn t the best. My room had a long strand of hair on the toilet, hair in the shower, tub, and sheets. We weren t able to watch television it lost satellite signal. The remote didn t allow us to watch more than one channel. The volume is capped off at 25. I called the front desk every day of our stay. I was told someone would come to help. No one showed until the last day of our stay. The gentleman said he couldn t help because it was is 1st week on the job. I can feel the bed springs. The air condition is controlled we sweated all night every night. The layout of the room is great. The pool area is nice.

The decor is honestly tacky in the rooms. The room feels thrown together and outdated. The wallpaper in multiple places in my room was peeling. Lightbulbs were out. There is no coffee maker. The closet had 4 hangers. Each bed only had two pillows. Overall, it just lacks. Stay elsewhere. The only plus of this place is that I can easily access Mandalay Bay.

Room was ok. My room smelled musty and smokey and really needed to be renovated. The Blue man group and the bodies exhibit which in inside the casino was cool. In addition, the restaurant Diablos was very good.

We checked in online 2 days before we arrived. We arrived and had to wait an hour for our room to be cleaned in the middle of the night. We finally got to our room and it had 2 queen beds not the king we had booked and it had no view as we requested. I called the front desk and got the run around. I was told that the rooms all cost the same and we could not have the room we had originally booked. So my husband and I slept in separate beds for the vacation.
We will not be staying there again. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because the rooms were very clean.

First time staying on the strip & out of all the hotels my husband and I decided to stay at the Luxor. Not once was our room serviced, towels weren t replaced, and we ran out of toilet paper. I would ve expected a lot more from the Luxor. Seemed like their guest room attendants were lazy and abandoned our room since it was way in the back. Will we get the resort fee refunded after this experience?

Spent the 2019 Thanksgiving weekend here. I found the hotel casino, lobby and mezzanine areas very nice. I agree with other reviewers about the dated, musty rooms and HVAC system. I also found people working in the hotel were far less friendly (in several instances just plain rude) than the last time I was here many years ago; a trend that seems more common than not in Vegas these days. Also, be aware of the extra fees such as the "Room Cleaning Fee"; a scam to allow them to advertise a lower room rate in my opinion.

While the decor was somewhat limited in the room, it was nice not to be charged to open the refrigerator in the room unlike both The Venetian and Mandolay Bay resorts which charges $50/ night. We stayed at The Luxor for 3 nights. If you can get the extra large whirlpool tub suit (a corner unit), do it.

Still a cool hotel resort, but it needs a lot of work. Elevators ("inclinators") need to be replaced and you don't get a lot of value for the mandatory "resort fee". But to be fair to MGM, they're remodeling the hotel rooms, so book a "refreshed" room, which is near top.

This is one of the older hotels. We had an interesting inside view of many of the shopfronts as well as the roofs of the same. The casino was just a casino. I've already wrote a review about the awful buffet so I won't go into that here. The rooms were decent. Nothing to write home about but not awful either.

my Husband and I knew exactly where we wanted to stay for our 3rd vacay back to Vegas and that was at the Luxor! It s such a unique hotel/casino and is well kept! Check In was smooth, we had a late flight in and got to the counter fairly quick. The room we booked was getting low so he gave us the option for an upgrade! The whole stay was great! We will definitely be coming back!

I really enjoyed my stay... The only thing that became annoying was the people in the black suits who were constantly stopping me. EVERYTHING else was awesome!!! The staff was informative and friendly, food at the Deli and Steakhouse was delicious.

I enjoyed my 2016 cross country getaway. First time visiting Las Vegas. The Luxor Hotel and Casino loved it spacious room. Stayed in the pyramid so wall was slanted. Nice view from up top. So many hotels to visit. I used the bus system. But nothing like walking the Vegas strip. Caught the Boyz 2 Men show @ The Mirage.

The Luxor is one of the older hotels in Vegas and ...

The Luxor is one of the older hotels in Vegas and nothing really well maintained. Hence it was not an expensive hotel to stay at and the hotel tax actually was more than the cost of the room. But hey we were only there to sleep. the other problem with the Luxor is so water was very cold so it took a long time for hot water even to run through the shower.

We didn't spend much time at the hotel. We didn't eat there but we did catch the blue Man group show. That was kind of fun. We purchase the tickets a month in advance and you got to pick your seats. If you didn't want to get splashed by any of their paints pick seats for the back half.

The Luxor hotel is part of the MGM group. The parking at Luxor was $10 a day. You could park at any of the MGM hotel chain parking lots at no additional cost by using your room key. So we parked over at the Mirage, the Bellagio and was able to walk around the other hotels from there.

This was our first time visiting the Luxor and we were big fans! The casino was nice and clean and, for the most part, smoke free which is awesome considering how many people smoke cigarettes while gambling.

The reason I gave four stars was because of our room. We had only 2 (almost totally flat) pillows so we had to call housekeeping for more, our sliding shower door wouldn t open without maximum effort and it sounded like it was going to break every time, and our a/c must have malfunctioned because it kept blowing hot air after taking at least an hour to cool the room down.

Overall, our experience was not bad at all. We really didn t spend a ton of time in our room so those issues are not all that bad, although it could have been better.

The hotel was okay, we got taken care of pretty well until we woke up the next morning to our restroom floor soaked. We couldn t even take a shower or bathe the baby before we checked out. The ceiling was leaking and they didn t even fix they just moved the people above us hoping it would solve the issue.
