The Luxor Hotel is an okay place to rest and stay in during your visit in Las Vegas.
The good points being that the staff are friendly, the rooms have nice spacious beds and the rooms come with fairly fancy bathrooms. The Janitors also do a great job keeping the rooms clean and putting it back into its original state whilst you re out for the day.
Though the rooms are reasonably nice and come with an AC, they re very loud. If you like having the AC on at night I d be best to put it on full blast before you sleep then turn it off before sleeping since the AC s have a loud rumbling noise regardless of its Low/Medium/High Setting.
If you re looking for a little snack here or there during your break in your hotel
Room the food in the hotel itself is absurdly expensive but there are convenient supermarkets close by you can walk to easily but of course just be weary of the supermarket you re going to as picking the wrong one can land you unnecessarily high prices on simple things. I d also avoid anything that needs to be refrigerated as there are no refrigerators in the hotel
Rooms.
There s also a little store in the Hotel
Itself with toiletries and food in case of an emergency but I wouldn t recommend purchasing things from the stores in the hotel itself as they re very highly priced.
The hotel also has a buffet and it s not as great as you may think it is and I would recommend having a look at the other hotels buffets and visiting them just like I did as they offered much better and tastier options.
Sadly, you ll need to pay a Resort Fee and I had no interest in using the resort but still paid it as it is compulsory, I d personally recommend using the most of it and using the swimming pool since they ll be charging that < $30 for every night of your stay.
Another downside to the hotel is the difficulty of navigating to your room, the elevators and located and places in really awkward positions of the hotel and in my opinion a much longer walk than necessary compared to the elevator placements in the other hotels.
Finally, the last downside to this Hotel is if you re trying to get some shut eye after a long day, unless you ve had enough alcohol so that the noise pretty much goes over your head the Hotel has a lot of loud music coming from one of the center Restaurants / Bars that of which is usually a band or Karaoke playing and unless you re presumably high up in the hotel you ll have trouble sleeping.( I was on the Third Floor )
