In the dentist area, the receptionists are somewhat friendly, the games that they have are very high that children like 10 years can reach, therefore, small children get bored and cannot reach them; dentists are not always the same doctor, sometimes they are practitioners and the work they do is so bad that the fillings fall out and there is too much sensitivity in the teeth or molars.

Today, May 1, a long day for my 11 hour of Work and then to the hospital to take care of my mother, all one night, but with the power of God today dawned very better. Thank you sir for listening. Close My prayers and thank you from the heart.

I unfortunately have had to find myself in the emergency room for numerous reasons regarding my aging parents. Each and every time it s been the same obnoxious and useless guard who spends most of the time gossiping and chatting with staff members very loudly, taking no consideration of the ill that come in and wait in the waiting area....her loudness and brazen attitude is exactly what s not needed in that kind of environment. Horrible.

DISAPPOINTED AND DIGUSTED! I was here for 7 hours, sent from adult care where the nurse said we don t check knee pain to emergency room where the doctor was clueless as to why I was there!!!! Then, had to pay an uber to go to their different location where they said my primary care doctor was & come to find out next appointment to get checked is FRIDAY. THREE WEEKS AND NO ONE HAS CHECKED MY KNEE INJURY UNTIL TODAY WHERE I STILL COULDN T GET AN XRAY OR MRI BECAUSE THE NEXT AVAILABLE DATE IS 3 WEEKS FROM NOW. THEY MILK YOUR INSURANCE TO ONLY GET MONEY MONEY MONEY!!! DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNTIL THEY ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING BECAUSE THEN YOU LL BE LIKE ME-FINDING WHAT YOU HAVE 6 WEEKS LATER.

It was somewhat ok. Web said under 16 needs adult supervision can visit and I AM over 16. Those at the front in the ER let me in then this dumb officer comes and be like Oh you need to be 17 like ok I am short for my age but three people said I can go in, the web also said that yet you be like no 16 is too young and kicked me out. Give me a break dude.

Glad to share my experience with you...it is a TERRIBLE HOSPITAL...My mom has been going for years and the administration sucks, you have to wait for months literally to get an appointment, some doctors litterally play with the patients health and are all about milking the insurance, spreading the visits unnecessarily, they dont take the time to explain carefully so the patient understand instructions,...I am surprised that people still go there having other options. Yes it is close but come on...with all the resources they have it should be a more pleasant experience.
The staff act like whatever, take it or leave it...my advise..LEAVE THIS HOSPITAL, MAYBE THEN THEY WILL GET THE MESSAGE AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

This hospital has one of the best trauma units in NYC. My brother got hit by a motorcycle and suffered severe brain trauma. They took quick care of my brother and he survived. Yes, he suffered all the effects associated with brain trauma but I am glad to say that he is back to normal and still progressing. Thank God for the doctors that worked on my brother. I give Lutheran Medical Center two-thumbs up when it comes to this unit. This is the only experience I've had with this hospital.

I went emergency. With a strong pain in the abdomen. They had me about 5 hours to just reset my tayleno. For the pain. It was not a pleasant experience in that hospital. I went to a clinic the next day and they only charged me $ 200. And I was prescribed other medicine which completely relieved me. Now I have to pay $ 2,000 to the hospital. For that emergency. I do not recommend it. That's why I give it 1 star, there is no zero, but a zero would put it. Do not be worth the hospital

This is the worst hospital I've ever been, the moment you walk in... you feel like you walked into a project building, some of the nurses are okay, but the other half are just lazy. I had one of the nurses rip the IV right out of my arm, which cause me to bleed out of control for a minute, and she pretended as if it was normal, and that was just my arm, from an IV. the doctors are very dismissive, and it didn't look like anything was going to be accomplished at least not today. i felt like I had a better chance in my house.

these people are a set of con artists since October I have been trying to get refund on a procedure that wasn't done and every time I call they telling me to wait 2 more weeks or they would forward it to high ups to get me my refund every single time i call its something else. Its like their hoping that I forget or drag it on where I can't do nothing about it. I have never heard of a refund taking 3 months now I have to dispute the charge with my bank and I got all the messages and call. Never again

It ran the gamut of from bad to worse. I had a stroke and Dr. Azar is the one who heads neurology. He treated me. He is adept at what he knows but his ego requires that he meddle in all specialties of which he knows nothing and prevent his betters from doing their job. Meanwhile you keep deteriorating. The hospital itself is an awful place to get stuck in unless you're a criminal and are happy to get out of prison for awhile. The nurses don't come at all when summoned. Stay out of there.

Hands down the best hospital in Brooklyn for everyone. They treat everyone very well and work hard to take the best care of their patients. I work with developmentally disabled adults and they are the best and most compassionate hospital that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I would recommend them to everyone and I would love to be taken there if I ever became sick. They are just awesome! All of the employees are very kind, from the housekeepers to the pharmacists, to all of the doctors and nurses. I work as a Care Manager, and I appreciate the way that they take care of the people that I support.

Wow! I walked in and they didn t take my temperature although I was on line to get it taken. Then I went to the second floor to register and there is only one seat empty between patients waiting for outpatient procedures.

Ambulance brought me there for a compound fracture. I was operated on within 2 hours. Immediately after the operation was a bit rough as they are stingy with pain meds. I stayed for 2 more days for monitoring/recovery. Food was actually good.

The recent takeover has had an affect on staff. People are new and generally have a good attitude but you can see that they haven't hit their operational rhythm just quite yet. Be a nice person and you should receive good service.

Overall the stay was the nicest part of the trauma experience.

Excelent care...great rehab!!

Excelent care...great rehab!!
But filthy.. I was really disgusted by how filthy the bathrooms family room and activity rooms were. From one week to the next the food was still on the floor .
Please be as clean as the care is good. This is a hospital please sanitize

Welcome to NYU Langone ! We are located in the heart of an industrial shipyard, where the sun doesn't shine, and give our patients the least attention/ care possible. We barely see our patients once a week unless a complaint is made, and send uneducated nurses in the room to feed them and shove pills down their throats.Did you know we have security guards who make medical suggestions? Mental health issues? Drug abuse? Physical pain? ALL THE SAME! We believe in a one pill fix all system, and will be completely disappointed if you don't agree with us. Come visit us in Brooklyn and you will love (have) to come here again. We can't wait to see you so we can get paid!!!

Pretty great experience for NYC ER's. Seen and processed very quickly (on a Thursday early morning), everyone was kind and they ran the tests I needed quickly. The doctors were only there for two minutes each, as usual, but were nice, and the nurses and techs were great. Was in my own room within 15-20 minutes of checking in.

I went to the ER 2 times in 1 weekend. First time they sent me home after 7 long hours, and while I m still in pain saying it s only stomach inflammation. He's very young and not experienced, although nice but really no regards for the patient condition and pain. Pain got worse and I was rushed to ER again. My appendix ruptured thanks to the ER doctor who sent me home. Sent to regular room after surgery and the room is very dirty and dark like a prison with tiny windows.

I check in to ER at 2 am on NYE night. Really happy with all of the team at NYU Langone Hospital. Had severe leg pain. They checked me in with in 10 minutes and put me in bed. With in next 15 min doctor, nurse and X-ray specialist we re with me taking all the tests. So fast, efficient, professional and friendly. Doctor David Schaeffer, Nurse Patrick and all the team behind the scenes, Thank you so much for taking care of me.

Dirty. By far the worst hospital I ve ever been in. Compared to the NYU Langone hospital in NYC, this Brooklyn NYU hospital was absolute filth. Blood on the walls on the ER. Trash all I ve the floors. Doctors who can t get their prognosis straight. And nurses who ignore you. You re better off taking the extra time to travel to the city and admitting yourself there.

This has to be one of the WORST hospital facility ...

This has to be one of the WORST hospital facility in Brooklyn. My boyfriend have been here since Tuesday night and today is Friday. He came in for high blood sugar levels and was admitted for a DKA. He was then told he seemed to have other issues as well so they placed an order for an XRAY/MRI on Wednesday. The XRAY and other radiology test was done and came back normal. However, we are still waiting for the MRI test. He was told by a medical Professional that s the title that was used that he wouldn t be discharged till Saturday with no further explanation. Later when I arrived at the hospital I asked a Podiatry PA what was the hold up. She seemed to be the only one that knew the answers. She explained that due to passover a lot of people are not in and staff is short. So pretty much he wasted 2 days waiting to get an MRI, because they are short staffed. Not only that but he may not be discharged till Monday. Why wasn t this MRI scan done yesterday with staff. We will be going to patient relation after discharge. There is so much more that I am holding off on writing. Be careful and beware this is not the hospital you should transfer to not visit.

My issues with this hospital.
Communication between staff- POOR
Communication between staff and patient -POOR
Urgency-POOR
Cleanliness-POOR
Staff- DURING THE NIGHTSHIFT TOO MANY YOUNG PEOPLE THAT DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING

Since it is managed by NYU, I can honestly say that my elderly father was well taken care of in the ER. He was also well taken care of in a regular room. My only two complaints is that the night cleaning staff is not up to par and I did not like that they wanted to give my father more tests than needed .

We had our baby here this month and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. All the nurses and midwives were friendly and very helpful. Dr. Pepperman was awesome and we would highly recommend him and the hospital to anyone.

Do not come here!!! I warn you, they torture you! I went in as an emergency knowing I had to get a tooth extracted. What I didn't know was that I wouldn't be able to get general anthestic until half way through... she already started yanking on my tooth! On top of that, she gave me novacine and didn't even bother giving it a few minutes to kick in. Therefore I felt everything she was doing to me. She pretty much tortured me. Kept telling me it's gonna be okay! I couldn't handle it and started to cry and shake. By that didn't stop her. She was rude, she said I need to stop shaking and rushing her. Yet I felt like she was in a rush to get rid of me. I even told her to stop because I can't do it anymore, I was starting to get an anxiety! Then she said she can't let me go when she already has already started. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!

I came in for dizzy spells and while the triage nurse took my blood pressure she b*tched to a co-worker about people coming in who aren't emergency cases. The doctor who examines me says I need to see a neurologist and plunks me in the waiting room for an hour. The word "stroke" was never uttered. I figure if something is really wrong, nurses wouldn't be b*tching about non-emergency cases and doctors wouldn't be leaving me to twiddle my thumbs for an hour, so I left. When I got home I spoke with a nurse from my insurance company who completely panicked and told me to go right back, that I may have been having a stroke. When I called the hospital to discuss this, every extension I dialed either rang off the hook with nobody answering or was answered by a gruff person who told me to call back later.

I'm going to see my regular doctor on Monday. If I stroke out between now and then, it's still better than going back to this quack factory.

Horrible!!! 1 out of 10 nurses are somewhat nice/professional. Apparently one cannot refuse medical treatment here (pretty sure that is illegal) and you are not allowed to leave until they run as many tests/scans as they want so they can charge you to no end. There is only one way in/out and it is guarded by security so there is no leaving until they discharge you. There were no open rooms and all staff members were constantly complaining that they didn't have any time to attend to anyone. If I were on my deathbed I would rather walk as far as necessary to be treated by a better facility.

I thought BROOKLYN hospital was the worst hospital...

I thought BROOKLYN hospital was the worst hospital in Brooklyn, but nope, NYU LAGONE BROOKLYN came along and it takes the cake! They ll lay you in the emergency room beds for 7+ hours, get aggravated when you ask for assistance/answer questions, and you barely interact with the doctors on your case.
Then they ll get you a room to stay overnight, only for it to have filthy bathrooms and for your nurses to pop in....but again, no answers to any questions.
THEN it ll take them 4 hours to discharge you because they re doing rounds, but discharge time is at 11am but you re still there at 3pm so now I guess I understand why we waited 7+ hours for a bed.

Edit: we are STILL HERE. Nurse was supposed to take out the IV almost two hours ago. We re .20 secs from taking it out ourselves. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HOSPITAL.

My baby girl was delivered here 5th Floor and my partner had c-section. I stayed with her for 3 days and it was a pretty good experience. The room was very small (Limited space) where we stayed and there was another couple on the other side. Some nurses made it easy for us checking up on us from time to time, but others not much. Other then that it was not to bad. They have a cafe and the food is not to bad (cash only).

I give it a 4 star only because the front lobby to enter is a mess. It's very disorganized and the system they are using is broken, due to Covid-19.My baby mother was being discharged so I quickly go out. I went to my car to get the car seat. I saw a long line to enter , so I asked an employee if I have to make the line. She told me to ask the manager I asked the manager and she said I had to wait the long line. It only took me 2 minutes to get the car seat. I was upset because I was already was there for 3 days and had a bracelet as vistor. I had to wait 30 minutes to get back in. The security in the hospital is unsafe and is a joke. They have unarmed security and they dont have metal detectors or wand visitors. Anyone can easily bring a weapon and they wouldnt know.

I came to NYU Langome Emergency Care Unit on Saturday evening and was seen promptly, taken for tests, brought to observation overnight and then admitted until Tuesday morning.
I found the nurses and staff, with few exceptions, to be courteous, professional, efficient and responsive.
One must remember that a hospital is not a restaurant where your every whim is seen to immediately, but a busy, busy operation with others whose needs may be more critical than your own. My condition, diagnoses, medications, tests and results were all explained clearly and all injections and procedures handled with as little discomfort as possible.
Of course there are some staff more attentive, more cordial than others, but I never felt neglected or disrespected.
If you want the best care available, be a better patient; you are the center of your universe, but not of everyone else's.

NYU LANGONE SUNSET PARK DENTAL

Had to go to for a bariatric surgery. The surgeons were very friendly and nurses at the ICU were great. Later on, I was admitted to a regular room and it was the worst experience. Room was very cramped and hot, there was blood on the pillow, nurses were very slow, WiFi was terrible, and TV had to be paid for.

Worst hospital I have ever been in. The staff is incredibly rude. The doctors are inattentive. Many tests were done without my knowledge, nothing was explained to me and then the doctor prescribed 8 oral antibiotics for me at once when the reason for my visit was digestive problems. I have been to NYU Langone and the level of service is infinitely better. I'm surprised NYU associates with such a terrible hospital.

Giving a one star that they don't deserve. They deserve a big fat 0. Arrived at the hospital on Saturday cause of abdominal pain from which I suffer from gastritis, IBS and acid reflux. The morons in the ER took it upon themselves to make a diagnosis and say I need a colostomy bag and reconstruction of my stomach. I was admitted and found out I have a inflammation of the colon but still insisting I need surgery and no food or water to be given to me. My white blood cell is high and that's why they say NPO and their diagnosis is colitis. . I'm definitely contacting a legal assistance for neglect and refusal of food and water, pumping me with Antibiotics. The only thing I told the Dr is that the dietician could come up with a food plan for my stomach issues & was given the reply dieticians are not considered medical staff. Will be leaving this disgusting and horrifying hospital on my own accord just waiting for more tests results and to get copies of everything and all their names. STAY AWAY From This Hospital!!!!!

Never again!!!! I was in the e.r., 3 different patients wheeled into the room i was in, not once did anyone clean anything. Doctors leave you there fir hours without as much as telling you what's happening till you get loud. I've been to some bad hospitals, but this one takes the cake. I was there fir 7 hours, and i walked out, took my own iv out, couldn't get out fast enough. Stay away!!

I had a tooth extraction. I was told during my consult that I could get the gas. It was my first extraction and I was extremely nervous the day of the procedure. When we started getting set up they told me they would not give me the gas. This resulted in me shaking and crying uncontrollably during the procedure. It was like my worst nightmare come true. It took 3 people to get the tooth out of my mouth. Pulling and yanking on my face with all their strength. I felt violated. I was only given an antibiotic and ibuprofen for the swelling. Nothing for the severe pain I am enduring in my Jaw. Mind you because my tooth was so hard to remove they had to remove extra bone from my jaw as well.

I can barely open my mouth on day two. The bedside manner was poor and when your clients are that scared give them the freaking gas!! Not to mention when I left I had blood all over my cheeks that they didn't clean off. I would not recommend this facility because most oral surgeons would at least give you a small amount of low dose pain killer for the first day or two. Not make their clients suffer through mideval torture. When I called the facility two hours after my extraction about the pain I was in and my traumatic experience I spoke to a woman who was very cold an unsympathetic, like that's just how it is you have to deal with it.

My son is admitted here today 02/20/18 first off it's hot as hell I ask for then enough to lower the heat and I can't sleep my recliner is broken how are they still open I have no idea the food is beyond bad and they gave my son a dirty sheet fyi fire the old nurses that been there for years because they are so rude and are no help

On October 11th I suffered cardiac arrest. I was told I was gone for 2 minutes but was brought back by the doctors and nurses in icu.

During my stay I was taken care of by the staff there and felt they truly cared about my wellbeing. They didn t hesitate to run every test imaginable to ensure my health.
On top of that the food was actually good.

Thanks again to the entire staff!

I owe them my life and obviously highly recommend this hospital.

I have to be very honest my wife and I had the worst experiences with this hospital since they merged. They overdose my wife at least twice and tried to blame me because I was the only person that went to visit everyday and then never did an investigation that they said they would do. After that they moved her around to a nursing home in queens where her arm got infected. Then she had to go back for the same problem and now they said that not one person can visit family or friends for the duration of her stay, so when she heard that as security was removing the family my wife had a stroke. Now she's doing great at new York Presbyterian, and the care and concern is genuine there. But not at the New Lutheran it's all about the money. Rich or poor homeless people we are all humans and should be treated the same. I wish everyone the best

The staff at the front desk to the emergency room ...

The staff at the front desk to the emergency room is very rude and unprofessional. Discussing patients in a negative manner and discussing what the patients arrived here for and laughing. A headache might be seem like a funny reason to come to the emergency room to you although it can be a symptom of a possible stroke ? The fact that I was able to hear their entire conversation makes it even worse. I don t understand how a prestigious hospital system like this can have trash working up front. Very disappointing.

I was admitted into ER then to the delivery ward. they treated me well. except one ignorant doctor her name is Fatima . OMG she was a nightmare that stayed with me for 12 hours. she was nervous, arrogant and horrible in treating people. However, everything else was really good. nurses, the doctor and my stay was really good

This is a horrible place. My father was in the emergency room for more then 24 hours before they decided to move him upstairs. They did it while he was sleeping and when he woke up he got upset with them and they had the nerve to complain. Also, it is impossible to reach the nurse and any of the doctors. They make a decision on your behalf so they can charge insurance. HORRIBLE!!!!!!

The irony of being at the hospital and actually be...

The irony of being at the hospital and actually being able to make a comment. I went to another hospital closer to me when I had a flare up of a condition I have. Usually takes about 3 days stay. So I had to get transferred to Lutheran.

That's where it all went wrong. Nurses and doctors were shady and not answering ANY of my questions. Not telling me what medicines id be given. I asked them to test me for HIV, as a just in case and they would not even tell me if and when i would get tested. Okay.

After the doctor stated that I could leave saturday, i was happy.

Until today. The doctors were not here. No one would help me. I noe my mom could shower because there's no hot water. I suffer from ptsd and anxiety and they know this. I began having nightmares waking up screaming. They admitted (a nurse) that they may have given me too much medication. What the fuc? I was left in dirty sheets so I lost it.
I locked myself in the bathroom and had a panic attack until several nurses came in. I am not playing this game with thia terrible hospital.

I would have given this 0 star if it wasn t for the nurse Doreen and nurse assistant Cathy and the asian nurses who work on the 5th Floor for making me feel comfortable. I was saved by the EMS, when I got to the ER, the female doctor( which I will keep her name confidential to keep her job) was very rude, she wrote something that wasnt true On my paperwork, and the two guys working in the C/T room during midnight was was very rude and have no manner. I could barely move, the guy told me GET UP MOVE and then I could barely speak and try to ask for assistant. And he just said GET UP NOW The guy behind the glass wasn t helpful neither he said HURRY UP is this how you treat your patient who s life are in danger? I can t imagine how much more pain I could ve been in, if my injury was more severe. Please improve your staffs! This is a hospital for crying out loud, you guys are suppose to be helping people.

I had a good not great ER experience, they were always attentive to my needs. Only thing I didn t like was sharing my room with another ill patient. But overall it s the best I ve been to in Brooklyn so far. They also give you a neat purple bag to take home which is nice

My visit to this hospital has been nothing but exceptional. From the time I was seen at the ER to my admission, and then to surgery the service and expertise offered has been of the best. Dr Salame and his team of clinicians and nurses are by far some of best people I've ever encountered, specifically in the way they delivered medical care. Nurse Kathryn,Philip,Niyma, Hurd along with assistants,Briget, Winifred,Gemma,Collins, your compassion and care made my stay there comfortable. I cannot say enough about Dr Salame, his professionalism, bedside manners and the way in which he calms his patients are incomparable. The anesthesia and OR team,A plus.Thank you Dr for restoring humanity to medicine. You are a great treasure to NYU. A grateful patient.

My grandmother was treated by the GYN team (attending Dr. Hacker) and got exceptional care. They were so dedicated and visited several times a day as well as came promptly whenever there was any question or concern. While the hospital itself could use some infrastructure improvements, we generally had a very positive experience.

This review is only for the cafeteria. The cafeteria is open only on weekdays. There is a coffee shop on the second floor that is pretty whatever but the cafeteria on the first floor serves some of the best food I've ever had. The burger station, the sandwich station, even the pizza station. I haven't visited the salad station yet. I wish the pizza station served calzones more often, those are so good. The burgers and sandwiches are mouth-watering good. I am a huge fan of the pulled pork sandwich and the cheese bacon burger. You can get the daily special with a side of sweet potato fries, chips, or salad. The chips and fries are okay but the salad is full of so much flavor. I love the food.
