I have been Tattooed all over the country. I first went to Lucky 13 when there was just the owner and 2 other artists. They were just a little shop in a big market. I had looked at what the other shops in Richmond did and had some art work done at a few. Brad and Jeremy and lance over the next 5 months did over 50 grand of Tattoos on me , my family and most of the construction workers that were with us up there .They did the best art work and piercings I /we ever had done. I have been Tattooed in about 50 different shops all over this country and they are in the top 2 of shops. I/ we did not need no touch ups. all are piercings healed fine and the place was clean as an operating room. They were outgoing and friendly .Brad, lance, Brian all became like family. I have no problem with saying they are one of the best shops in the southeast. Now I see a lot of bitching and I am sure everyone has their own take on how they were treated. I am sure Brad is making sure those that work there are following all health laws and are exceeding them. As for the quality of the tattooists they have I can only say the ones that have done work on me or my friends and family have done an awesome job. I will assume that if an artists work is not up to par they will not be there long as word will get around .This is a shop I have sent 100s too and have never had one person say a single word bad about them. I have drove from my Home in south Carolina to there to get tattooed there. The only other shop in the south I love is California Tattooing in Savanna Ga.If you have such an issue with something at the shop get in touch with the owner and show him what the problem is. I was there when they were the little shop that was hanging in and they did the best art work and piercing in Va. I am sure Brad remembers how hard it was to build to get where they are today and I know he stills strives to that high standard. My name is Mike Driscoll I am from Moncks Corner SC. And I will stand by this shop as one of the best tn the south east states. If you have an issue post your name and location not just hiding . If you have a real issue go see the owner he will take care of it and correct it. If you feel you were treated bad or disrespected again get in contact with the owner as he busted his ass to build this shop into the best and he will fix and address your issues. But if you just want to complain on the net and hide then please shut the hell up.

Anytime I want a tattoo I come all the way from norfolk to get my traditional work done by Jerry he does great work and the people there are awesome

This was my first time getting a tattoo and my friends first time getting one locally. We came in and had a great experience from the get-go. There weren't too many people there when we first got there but it definitely picked up momentum. Our artist, Chris, apologized for the wait and was so nice. We absolutely loved both of our tattoos and will definitely come back. Such a great experience!!!

I got my septum pierced by Iain yesterday and will be going back.

Lucky 13 is one of the nicest & cleanest shops in Richmond. Also cheap on their prices on everything. I got couple of tattoos done by Ed & Angel but waiting on that tax money coming in next year so I can get Bob to do most of my tattoos. Its going to be awesome!

My all time favorite place to get any piercing is at Lucky 13 Tattoo and Piercing!! The staff is extremely friendly and the shop it s self is one of the cleanest I ve seen! I highly recommend everyone to go see Jason for all your piercing needs!!!

Jsin did a piercing for me an it was quick an easy. had a chat about it seemed like a cool guy walked me thru it an it was done before I knew it 5 s for jsin an the way he went bout it would definitely recommend him if anyone wants a piercer

I was rudely greeted. I was hung up on. And ignored when I walked in. I am beyond happy I didn t get my tattoo here after that experience.

Ed was great! He did tattoos on for of us. Bright tattoo, light touch. Wait was about an hour in weekday evening, but you can stop by and make an appointment in person.

Nice and clean space! My daughter went to get a piercing but the wait was to long.

Nicest shop I've been in in a loooong time. Super friendly. Was going for to door and wasn't impressed with most places. Others had the usual cranky attitude. Not this place. Will likely end up here to get my piece done.

Have gone to this shop several times for piercings for myself and with friends who have gotten tattoos. The last 2 encounters have been nothing short of bad customer service. The piercing guy appeared annoyed when I stated I wanted to get my nose pierced. I asked him if piercing will be a stud or hoop and he rudely and loudly said NO, it s going to be a stud only . Then the entire time he was rudely sarcastic which made me and my friend uncomfortable and completely ruined my excitement of getting a new piercing. After paying, I asked him what was wrong with him because I was completely baffled by his attitude and he stated he doesn t get much sleep because that s apart of being an adult . Never again, they make you feel like you are an inconvenience when you walk in, ask a question, etc... I d rather pay double or triple for better customer service and experience....

I took my son in today for an early Christmas present. Iain pierced his nose, snakebites and tongue. He was very patient with him when he was nervous and afterwards when he was light headed. He even told him to message him on Instagram if he had any questions.

Lucky 13 Tattoo is the best!! Adam did my wrist tattoo and he was very cool and kind...I observed his coworkers and noticed they were friendly as well. The tattoo came out perfectly..I'm actually going back to have Adam do my other wrist.

Excellent service. My fiancee had some piercings done here. Clean shop. Friendly staff. One of her two piercings got a local reaction and puffy two months AFTER the piercing. Not their fault. Came in one night ten minutes to closing, and a piercer who was there gave her friendly cleaning and skin care advice, and was told to come back in for another free look. Extremely professional care. Was very pleased about the outcome of the piercing. Would suggest for anyone from a kid's piercing (whatever their policy is) to any adult. Friendly and professional staff. Extremely helpful even after the piercing, way more than the $20 or whatever it cost to get a nose/upper ear piercing.

Lucky 13 is the best tattoo shop for basically every reason. Wonderful atmosphere, extremely knowledgeable artists with a level of talent and skill that you're simply not going to find anywhere else. Certainly not at such reasonable prices. I'd give them a hundred stars if I could, and 80 of those stars would just be for Abel and the phenomenal work he's done on me. Go to Lucky for your next tattoo or piercing for sure.

I had another AMAZING experience with Able! The shop is always so clean & organized, everyone is really friendly, & Able is wonderful. Even though they are ALWAYS busy they never make you feel rushed! Able is such a talented artist with a light hand & impeccable line work.

I've been pierced 2 times here and I was in and out in minutes and the price is unbeatable...half a mile down the road a place wanted 55$ for the same thing lucky 13 does for 20$...highly recommended

Ian, jaysin and the piercing lady behind the counter are so friendly, comforting and cool... I have another last that pierces me as well.. Whole shop is great.. All workers are great!!!!!!!

I needed a piercing head change and went here, found out that it was actually a Skin Diver, there was a knowledgeable piercer there who was able to tell me why I couldn't change it out, swapped it out for a microdermal, and it looks great. (Didn't get her name but she has green hair lol) I couldn't be happier. Awesome place. Will definitely visit again if need be.

Customer service wasnt the best but the artwork is great

While the piercer was friendly and the shop seemed clean and well run, my septum piercing was crooked and I had to take it out. They use externally threaded jewelry. I felt like I was rushed in and out.
But I guess when it s as cheap as it was, you get what you pay for. Will not be going back.

Me and my step daughter went to get nose piercings Saturday and the girl that did them was so nice and she was good at her job, I didn't even feel the piercing go in, I will def be going back, prices were great and the staff that I came in contact with was very nice

I had gone in here a few times for a new piercing and never had a bad experience. Super friendly staff and easily takes walk-ins (for piercings at least). Not only is a quick and professional process, but the price is unbeatable ! I love it here, will only being going to Lucky 13 for my piercings from here on out.

I was pierced here over the weekend and I didn't have the best experience, but some of that was my fault. I came in around 8:30, they close at 9; this was my first mistake obviously. I asked to get my nose and inner conch pierced. Filled out my paperwork and went back. The lady who helped me was nice enough, but never introduced herself; I only mention this because she then had to take more clients, and I didn't know who to leave the tip for. So the second mistake I made was getting pierced without a friend present. When she placed the dots I could see the nose just fine but it is hard to see around your own head to your ear, without some distortion. I asked for an inner conch, I got a bad snug piercing. The area she pierced was so deep, the piercing was indenting my skin later that night. I've had my conch done before. Obviously it hurts, but not like this. If I took a deep breath, I could feel the skin tighten. They are clean and competitively priced, it just seems like everyone rushes through their work. My advice to anyone being pierced here is: 1. Don't go close to closing, if you can help it and 2. Take an advocate with you that knows exactly what you want and has a clear view of the marking. This is my second "not great" experience so I will not be back, but they are a Richmond staple so I hope they can take the time to slow down and continue being a reputable shop.

I came for two of my nose piercings and my naval and both times I got great service. The wait was quick and the piercings took no time. And they weren't that painful.

They are the only tattoos shop that I trust and go to. They have done all my piercings and just about all my tattoos!!!!! I love it!!!!

Horrible I knew I should never came back the second time when my first tattoo from here healed ugly I came in and asked about a touch up for my wrist tattoos and they go tell me it's not healed everyone body heals differently, like I don't know my damn body it, my wrist tattoos healed ugly and I want a touch up told me wait 2 weeks it don't take 2-3 months for a wrist tattoo to heal my foot tattoo healed in a month and I wear steal toe boots and two pair socks for 12 hours and it's not a small foot tattoo I should've went to who I liked and that's "All For One Tattoos" oh and another thing he didn't even do a similar tattoo to what I showed him but I will be back in two weeks for that touch up because I know in two weeks its still gonna look shity, poor job!

I came here to get a piercing, and I had an AMAZING experience. I thought it would take at least 30 minutes, but it probably took 5-10 at the most! I felt comfortable, and had absolutely no pain when Charlotte pierced me. She was amazing! I would definitely recommend her for anyone looking to get a piercing. :) Overall, it was a painless, easy, and wonderful experience.

J-sin Mosher is, hands down, the best piercer! He has done all of my piercings and I have never had a problem with any of them! I would recommend him and Lucky 13 to anyone and everyone! Go get your piercings, NOW! :)

Negative star. The following is a true story. They misspelled a tattoo on my friend. They showed her the correct spelling, re-drew it for size, and spelled it incorrectly, to a word that actually doesn't exist in any language. They didn't refund it , or fully correct it. Seriously, you deserve better- dont do it people.

I went there for my first tattoo very fast service and reasonable pricing. The staff workers attitudes and energy were off don t know if they were having a bad day or what. (I went on a saturday) May or may not go back for my next.

This is the best place to get anything done. There are amazing people all thru out the shop but the piercing is beyond amazing. Especially JSin he is the best guy anyone can ask for, there is never a dull moment with him. He is amazing and the best :) !!!

Super cool place. Gave my buddy an amazing tattoo. 4 1/2 stars if possible only problem was it was a little overpriced but defiantly worth it!!

Had a great experience getting my piercing done by Ian. It was fairly priced, Ian was quick and professional, but most importantly the shop was cleaned and everything was sanitary. I'd definitely recommend Lucky 13 and Ian to anyone looking to get pierced

The shop looks nice but I am disappointed in how things turned out. We called prior to going and was told that they did piercings and tats for 15 and up, as long as your parent gave permission and was there. Never were we informed that my 16 year daughter needed an ID, birth certificate, or passport. We found that out after driving there in the rain, standing and waiting to be helped for 20 minutes. It was one lady trying to work both desk, people were everywhere and not being helped... I won't go back. Totally a waste of my time.

They put my jewelry back in for free, it was quick an easy.

I love and miss this place (moved)! I ve never had a bad experience from this shop. I definitely recommend everyone see Jason for piercings, he did my dermal on my cheek and it healed beautifully, he s also as sweet as can be. If you re looking to get tattooed definitely look into seeing Dana! She s super talented, creative and just an absolute angel.

The most plesant experience ive hsd . I git my njse done it was clean and quick priced reasonably.

A REAL tattoo artist would've been able to do any color on a peanut butter skin tone!!! Especially since I called and asked a day before and was told it could be done until they saw the exact tattoo and told me to choose a darker color!! Also the guy at the desk had a nasty attitude! I had 6+ tattoos I wanted to get, but I will be taking my business and generous tips elsewhere. This place was only chosen because they're the only ones accepting walkins not because of their mediocre work... like if you aren't skilled enough just say that
