This place is a sham. Was told I would be called after the diagnostics was finished to discuss the work to be done and price. The next time I was called was to tell me it was ready and to come pick it up. I asked why wasn't I call before the work was performed and he said he can " unfix" it. I paid and brought it home and couldn't even log on. Disgusted, I brought it back to have it "unfixed" to get a refund. NO REFUND. What a rip off. Don't waste your time or money with this fool. After reading other reviews on Yelp, it seems my experience is not an isolated incident. AVOID.

I had my laptop fixed here, and it's been working since. The GPU had to be re-bound to the board. I was given a call with a couple of options to choose how I wanted to approach them to fix it.
I am so thankful for the help I got with my computer here. Great service! Lance was especially very understanding of my emergency situation and got my computer fixed in just a few hours. I definitely recommend this place!
I told my husband not to go here because I've read the reviews. He wanted to go anyway because the owner lives in our neighborhood. My husband got just what I told him he would, extended period of time diagnosing with a high quote, close to a new laptop, to repair the charging portal or purchase another unit from them. These prices are not competitive for the region. We located a few other companies that could repair it for more than 1/2 of Lowetree's quoted labor parts including diagnostic. It would be more convenient to have a local computer business with expeditious, accurate service. Just a shame that many including myself do not trust this one. I would like to get my keyboard replaced on my laptop. My husband says call that Lowetree place on HWY 78 OR across from the AFB. My answer "umm, no". The reviews are hot and cold, 5 or 1. Baffling as to how different people have such drastic responses, either love them or hate them. I just choose to leave them. If they work out for others, good for you. The owner responses to negative feedback is exactly the kind interaction many note in their review. Get off of the internet and work on units to decrease your turn around times. Take negative comments as room for improvement.
When I went in there the representative was extremely friendly and genuinely seemed to care about helping with a phone issue. I have to be honest I have not read the reviews before going in there or I probably would not have stepped foot in there to begin with. I was told that they would call me and the phone would be done that day. When they still hadn't called the next day I called them back and they said it would be done within a half an hour and that the problem was resolve and the phone was working correctly. By the time I got it home it was dead again and could not be recharged. I called them immediately back and was told well I guess you need a new battery then. And he gave me the price. By this time I had already read the reviews and had decided I would not be returning there because I felt as if I had been misled. I took it too a different repair place immediately following and when they told me that the issue was not the port that I had paid over $70 for or the battery which I was told I could pay an additional $50 for. Was an issue that could not be resolved on the phone. When I asked if this is something that should easily be deduced by the fact that it would not hold a charge but that the battery was charged on an external source, I was told that yes this is something that they would have been able to tell. Note also that I bought a new charger for them as well as I was told that you should use an Apple charger rather than an off-brand. I have now spent close to $90 on a phone that was not fixable. I would suggest that no one goes to them unless they like wasting their money and being misled.
I love these guys. They are reasonable with their prices. And good at fixing anything . Questions?? They have the answers.i won't take my stuff to anyone else ...these are guys for you.!!!!
Outstanding service and knowledge! If I could rate this Company higher, I would! They have built several custom needs computers for my Sign Company and solved multiple issues as my Company was hacked several times, I also had a custom computer made for my private use. Their prices are more than fair and reasonable. All of their staff is most helpful and competent! I also have recommended them to many other professional companies who also are well pleased with their services and prices!
Professional and personable guys at the HWY 78 location. Although convo was brief, it was good. They handled what I needed quite quickly, and they definitely have inspired me to look into switching careers to the computer repair field. I highly recommend you visit them for your computer needs.
My dad told me about lowetree after having many computers fixed there. I had them build me a computer and I was extremely happy with the result. Above and beyond for a very decent price.
These guys are amazing... Customer satisfaction is always THE priority.... Very knowledgeable and always looking to give their best work... I'll only come to them with my cellular/tech needs... Keep up the great work guys!
They just fixed my galaxy s8 plus screen and glass. They were the cheapest place I found and were so friendly and fast. I will definitely be returning if I ever need anything fixed again!
Total rip-off. Originally charged me a diagnostic fee, without even looking at laptop. After paying a huge fee for part and repair, they broke a couple items during the repair and originally refused to cover. Tried blaming broken hardware on viruses. Then once I insisted they look to see it came back as just normal broken equipment that just happened to fail while they had it. Owner graciously agreed to order a part if I'd pay for it (but he'd install it for me). Then the tech found a part in the shop off a broken laptop that fit and so he installed it. Only then they charged me the price for ordering the part?! Oh, if they had ordered a the part, they would have ordered a used part, what?! Called the owner to clear it up, won't return my calls. Shady! Dishonest! Disingenuous! Crooked business! I have no recourse other than to sue, which would cost even more and I'm already in it more than it's worth! Thanks Lowtree for ripping off honest hard working people!
My phone wouldn't charge at all. Went in thinking the charging port was messed up. They called and told me it was just the battery. Easy fix. Very professional and fast. Would recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys!!!
One of the most competent Companies that I have ever used! Outstanding Service and Custom built computers. Always promt Service. My Company has had several custom Computers put together by Lowtree and I have been very happy with their professional and curteous service
The customer service at Lowetree Computers was wonderful! They fixed my shattered iPhone screen in about 15 minutes, made sure I was comfortable while waiting and all had smiles on their faces. Wonderful facilities! I recommend them for any device repairs you may need.
Wow, I am just shaking my head. Unbelievable that a minor repair cost so much. They Lost my computer for a month. Gave me an adapter that isn't mine. Still can't get my documents for my article's I have edited. I won't play the victim game either. Beware of the flim flam y'all.
STAY AWAY. Took my PC here a while back, they told me that they could fix it, and if not they would at least be able to diagnose the problem. They held my computer for a week, didn't fix it, couldn't tell me what was wrong with it, didn't even run the tests they said they were capable of running. Then they demanded I pay them anyway if I wanted to get my computer back from them. That is not how you run a business. He told me he still had to charge me for the hours he spent looking at it, but if you don't actually complete the service being payed for you shouldn't be charging the customer. If I go to a restaurant and the cook burns my food to the point I can't eat it, they don't charge me anyway because it took them time to cook it. If I call a plumber for a broken sink and he comes and messes around for a while and the sink is still broken, I don't pay him. This place is OUTRAGEOUS, and if I had the time to mess with them at the time, I would've refused to pay and called the police to get me my property back.
I took my son's Samsung tablet to another local computer repair business and was quoted $119 for the repair of the charging port with a turn around time of 2+ weeks. I stopped into Lowetree Computers and found they charge $60 for the same repair job. I brought my tablet in on Saturday and received a call that it was ready at noon on Tuesday. No hassles, no surprise charges, and friendly customer service!
I've never been so pleased with computer repair service! Unlike with the Geek Squad, they actually know what they're talking about with these things. Trey was a huge help in making things quick, painless, and very informative. Permanent computer repair location for me!
Very unprofessional, liar, and has had my daughter's tablet and deposit for almost 2 months without calling to let us know there would be a delay. I can go on and on how the price was changed on me. I would not send my enemy here if I had any to do business with these people.
I came in on my lunch break to get my screen replaced on my iphone 6S and they fixed it very fast i'm very pleased with the business and the employees were awesome. Great customer service. will be returning for future business.
My husband's laptop kept overheating so I brought it into Lowtree to fix it. He gave me a timeline of how long it would take to find the underlying issue and repair it. Great job and fast.
Service at Lowetree Computers was quick, easy, and painless. I enjoy service from start to finish I was treated with respect and hospitality all in a timely manner.
I went to the store with a malware item that forced itself on my computer when I did a routine Adobe Flash Player update for Facebook embedded videos. With Adobe Flash Player, the worst thing that normally happens is you get that unsolicited Mcafee trial, but this time it was something that hijacked my whole system.
I asked the female staff member, who claimed to be a "technician" about the possibility of using a restore point or, using the current operating system, how I would get to the option (more easily found on Windows XP) to "Restore to Last Known Good Configuration", which has helped in the past with some types of malware, and she couldn't even speak intelligently about the process, stating she'd "Never heard of that before" and "wasn't familiar"!
What kind of computer technician hasn't heard of the Safe-Mode option: "Restore to last known good configuration"? or wouldn't know what a customer is talking about when they ask about "Restore Point"?
There should be nothing-that's N, O, T, H, I, N, G,-your technicians haven't heard of or know something about if a given individual is going to be the only one in the store. Such a person is supposed to eat, sleep, live and breath computers, and know them like the back of their own hand, by the time they are supposed to be dealing with the public. They're supposed to know about things I haven't heard of, not the other way around. Every computer, every operating system and every terminology is supposed to be familiar to somebody I go into a computer shop and ask for help from.
If you want the short version: I basically paid them for a diagnostic test and never got the results. It felt like they were consumed with offering me more and more expensive options and they had no information on what the actual problem was. Regardless of how much I said I would be willing to spend, prices kept going up. At this point I'm not even sure they ran the diagnostic test I paid for. They would not give me a clear answer on what the diagnost test revealed, they would not refund my money and they would not run a second test. They still haven't called me back after I brought up these issues. It's been weeks.
If you would like details: So I dropped something on my wife's laptop. I brought it in and I let the guy and woman working there know I got the laptop for about $170 & it's not for business, just browsing the internet so it's not something I want to spend hundreds to fix.
I immediately paid $30 for a diagnostic fee & $30 for expedited service. A couple days later Guy #2 calls to tell me they're not sure what's wrong with it MAYBE "redoing the whole computer" would fix it, maybe not. If they do it and it works, it'll cost me around $170. If not, I pay nothing. I let him know its just not worth that much to me. I drove down there. Guy #1 has Guy #2 on speaker phone and they offered to make copies of the files on my HD if I wasnt interested in fixing it. The price? $200. (Although the sign in the store said other wise..)
Once again, not worth it. The next solution they thought up was to take my computer in for parts and swap it out with something they had at another location. I waited a few days to find out what they had available at the second location. When Guy #2 called he offered to let me give them my laptop in exchange for a laptop with less ram and hd space and i'd still have to pay...prices starting at a little over $300. He told me how these laptops were not new, but they were top of the line. I told him I didn't need all this, and I was able to pick up an i3 toshiba laptop with 4gb of ram for very cheap from a store he said it's probably a fake i3 processor. ..................................alright.
Logically not wanting to spend $300 to replace a $170 laptop AND have to give them my laptop I explained that just wasnt a good idea for me. I asked again about "redoing the whole laptop" and what the diagnostic test revealed.. Guy #2 tells me it doesn't matter what's wrong with it, its not like something spilled on it. I said but what if something HAD spilled on it, again he told me it didn't matter, they would just try to fix it without trying to figure out what's wrong first. This made no sense to me at all. What was the diagnostic fee for if they're still clueless as to what the issue could be? Did I pay them to just make a guess?
I told them i'd be in to pick up the laptop and a couple days later they brought it back to location near me where I was able to retrieve it.
Weeks later I call back asking for any info they had from the diagnostic test they ran on my wife's laptop. Guy #1 tells me they have no information on it because I didnt "allow" them to do the work. It seemed like the guy was more upset that they didn't get the job than anything. I reminded them I did pay for the diagnostic fee, which is simply to diagnose the problem, not a guarantee that I would pay for it to be fixed there. If I paid for the diagnostic test and I never got the actual results, shouldn't I be entitled to a refund of my $30 or at least another test? (I DO NOT expect a refund for the $30 expedited service fee) He said they would not be able to do either for me.
He said he would call me back with more information. I waited maybe a week. Nothing. Called them back again got Guy #1 on the phone. He said it was probably a motherboard issue but they don't know. He would have Guy #2 call me back later with more information. I waited a couple days. Guy #1 calls me to let me know Guy #2 will call me in 4 days. It never happened. It's been weeks. Maybe a month.
I truly hope your experience is even slightly better than mine. I chalked the lack of customer service up to a bad day the first time I visited their Lowetree. The charges rendered for parts and labor not performed are now being disputed by AMEX. They replaced my iPhone screen w a fake. It failed the 3rd day after installation and I took it back for the screen not responding to touch, and responding without being touched at all (i.e. typing words, making calls, and opening apps without manipulation). They told me they would replace the screen again, this time with an actual iPhone screen, at full price and recharge me for the labor. Or if I wanted my money back, (not the labor cost but only the price of the screen) they'd put the old cracked (dilapidated) screen back on and I could be on my way. After the back and forth and speaking w the manager on the landline phone behind closed doors, the sales attendant decided that was the best they could do - charge me for the unserviceable parts and labor or charge me double parts and labor for an actual iPhone screen. When I declined that offer and let them know that I'd be disputing the charges, I left. Sitting out in the car on the phone with AMEX to immediately begin the dispute process, the service member approached my vehicle, knocked on the window, and said his manager had changed his mind and that they'd only re-charge me for the new iPhone screen, not the labor involved. Not happening. Still not the correct solution for a shotty patch job and ZERO pride in worksmanship or their company name. Please reconsider if you're tempted to buy from them or request their technical assistance in repairing your electronics. I was floored.
Man, what can I say? This is a phenomenal company. They were quick AND matched the lowest competitor price! I think I'll break my phone again just so they can fix it for me! Excellent service!
My screen went out on my laptop I ve had for 8 years. I took it in and Robert did a great job working on getting my computer back. It took longer than expect but there were some major issues with my laptop. Now it running like a champ!
