Always good times at Loveland. One of our last "Mom and Pop" feel ski resorts in Colorado. This place does not over-crowd like all the other ski resorts along I70. Lots of great runs, and variety for all skill levels.

My boyfriend and I had a marvelous time at this ski resort. The prices they charge are unbeatable and the service is great. We took an intro lesson with instructor Dan D. and he was absolutely phenomenal. He made us feel 100% comfortable and really catered to our needs. He was down-to-earth and overall extremely personable. He was a great teacher and I know he made the experience more pleasant. This was hands down the highlight of our trip. Whenever we come back to Colorado, we will definitely be visiting loveland ski area again!

It was my first time skiing and the slopes at Loveland Valley were great for an amateur like me. The staff was very friendly when getting rentals of equipment and they even had a very affordable day tripper package. This included full clothing and ski rentals plus lift ticket. The issue I had with this place was the line it took when you went to get rentals. We purchased our tickets at 9:50am and did not get everything in our hand until 12:40pm. I will acknowledge we went during the busiest week of the year but I still feel there should be a better system in place. Also they ran out of ski rentals by 10:30 am so had we not gotten there when we did we would have been s.o.l. the lounge had a nice view and food was not poorly priced so that was a plus. All in all it was a good first experience and I will definitely be back to Loveland one day.

Great time.

Great time.
Close to denver.
Easy drive, even if not used to mountain weather.im from tx.
Good for beginners.
If you are a true beginner save your money and stick too lift 7. Everything outside of lift 7 is pretty scary if you are a 1st timer. But lift 7 offers enough to enjoy a full day of skiing/boarding.
Def recommend.

Well maintained and helpful staff. We skied end of season, mid April and there not a lot of time in lines at lifts, tickets/rentals. The area is close to many decently priced hotels and restaurants in Dillon.

Distance, price and slopes are all great. Definitely a nice mountain for any beginner or pro who wants to have a fun day out on the slopes. Not busy at all, never waited more than 5 minutes for the lifts. T Park is decent. Locker room and other facilities comparable to other big name resorts. Worth the trip for anyone just passing through Denver and have a free day to catch some fresh pow pow.

Colorado's best kept secret. Best lift ticket and season pass prices, friendliest staff, near zero lift lines, awesome terrain. I carry 2-3 season passes every year between CO and UT, this is my second season with a Loveland season pass in the mix. By far my favorite place to go and play in the powder...

Smaller ski area right of the highway. It is a lot of fun and there are some good amenities at the bar for food and drink. The staff is friendly. It is a short drive from a few small towns with good restaurants, bars, and lodging.

We flew into Denver (from ATL) for a weekend of skiing that wouldn't break the budget. After much research, Loveland Ski Area was our choice and we were not disappointed. We utilized Loveland's Ski Package on their site and they made sure to keep us in budget as we requested. Our hotel was only 12-miles east, a short drive, and <$100/night. We saved maybe 5% by booking through their ski package RSVP, but they made sure our ski trip was all organized so I appreciated that. The ski resort for both the valley, basin, and shuttle transportation was all ran very well and effective. The variety of the ski slopes were enough to keep me entertained, and you could venture all day through the various trails and not get bored. Don't believe the hype that you have to go the biggest, baddest, and most expensive resorts in CO to have fun.

Customer service was top notch! The employees seemed happy to be there and we're friendly in answering all of our first-timer questions. They are reasonably priced compared to the other ski resorts in the area.

Loveland is awesome! There is plenty of terrain for different styles of skiers and boarders. The park is fairly large, and although the lifts aren't terribly fast, you can rarely find a line you have to wait in.

Amazing experience! First time skiers and stayed mostly at the Valley, lessons were awesome and ended the day in the Basin. Food at the Basin was really good too, 3 different kinds of chili, the brat was fantastic, and prices were surprisingly low, what a day!

I moved to Colorado a few years ago and picked up skiing at that time. Since then I have skied up and down I-70. My only season pass has been at Loveland. Maybe I am biased because I went from a total noob to riding their Cat, but this place is special. There are runs for everyone, and plenty of territory. Skip I-70, skip the lines, and skip the pretension. Get off at Exit 216 and experience skiing how it should be.

What a fantastic day at Loveland! The views are amazing here. About 20 to 30 percent of the time, I was on fresh powder that no one else has touched. Even the well traveled trails were very soft powder. The terrain park is significantly improved from the last time I was here years ago. The mini bowl was a lot of fun. They also offer a great military price. If you want the "big resort" experience with cute shops and way overpriced everything, then go somewhere else. If you want great snow on a huge mountain while avoiding getting stuck in the eisenhower tunnel for a pretty darn good value, go to Loveland. It is my go to place in Colorado for snowboarding.

The lessons were wonderful. We had Evan M. as an instructor and he was super knowledgable (even though he pretended not not be), funny and described everything we needed to do very clearly. I will recommend Loveland and lessons with Evan to people going forward.

Not a ton of parking. However this is the most relaxed ski area near summit county. Fantastic "bowl" skiing. Wide open above treeline. Love being here on a powder day. Cheaper than many other options with everything you need to have a great day. Come here and play and skip the crazy traffic to the tunnel.

Don't go if you have kids. NOT kid friendly. Chair lifts are positively ancient. Lift tickets double the price of what they were a few years ago, but none of that extra revenue has translated to improved infrastructure, as the place is pretty dank and rundown. Literally the only perk of coming here is the proximity to Denver

I never plan to ski anywhere else. Its very open I've never had bottle necking except for the very easy slopes that are to the left of your coming down.Breakfast starts earlier than lift times and the crew that runs food is amazing. Oh yeah don't forget that you can get something pasta related to the left of the main line and most people don't know that so there is never a line. Oh and the pasta is fresh they make it in front of you.

Great place to ski conveniently located on the city-side of the tunnels. If you like to had a little spicey fitness to your, consider a free uphill access pass and skin to the continental divide, then ski down. Pro tip -during good snow conditions there are moon full parties just off 6 below the pass.
