cheap and a little smaller than other ski areas but thats ok because there are massive amounts of run space betweens chairs. the staff and fellow skiiers are very friendly. A MUST VISIT!

Amazing spring days here! Free snowcat (sign up in pass office)! Free uphill access if you get the quick training session! Brutal on a windy frigid day. Fantastic otherwise. Long Live the 4-pack tickets!
Coming from Ohio, the mountain was better than anything I've ever snowboarded in my life.
I LOVE Loveland!!!! My family and I get season passes every year. The snow is usually always good and the people working there are so down to earth and chill. One time I lost some screws on my snowboard and the repair shop was so nice and got my set up right. Also if you ever want private lessons, get them with Stacy Smith. He seriously is the best! He s got great personality, super cool and has a willingness to help everyone. We ran into my brother on the mountain and he gave him some pointers too. He s good at explaining techniques so the lesson really helps elevate your riding. And at the end of the day, I love going to the bar and ordering the Dave s Drifter and some french fries. So good! It s hard to go to other mountains and pay way more when you have great terrain and service here. Thanks Loveland, please don t ever sell out to another resort or get pretentious on us!
The Loveland - Christy Sports Demo Day is worth another 5 to 10 stars. Awesome!!
I tried Copper and Winter Park frequently before going to Loveland, and it didn't take long for Loveland to became my favorite. There is a great variety of runs, from smooth, fast carving, to back-country trails, to some fun jumps. Lastly, you can actually get a cheeseburger and fries for $10. Which is incredibly refreshing if you've ever dropped 2x that much or more at places like Copper
Best place to learn. We took private group skiing classes and I am more than happy with the service. Our instructor Eddie was an absolute show stopper. He was so patient and taught us skiing really well considering we were all first timers.
They give our clothing rentals as well. They have a good coffee shop with some food as well.
If I ever go to denver again, I am definitely going skiing here.
It's close to Denver it's badass the people are great cheap tickets and great snow!
Very beautiful, from top of the cliff.
Inside restaurant was too busy, good food and drinks!!
Stacy Smith was the best snowboard instructor! Patient, kind, and knows his stuff!!!
Great groomed runs and some great powder runs. If you're from out of town, I would suggest coming here. The prices aren't as high as other resorts, but it can get fairly busy.
I boarded here on a weekday and had a great experience. Easy access to the hill and very affordable. Free no hassle parking. Lots of wide open terrain and no lines on any of the chairs.
Looking forward to another day there.
Old and run down. Windy most of the time. However this place can be a really good value during play hooky promotions. Only $25.00 for a full day of skiing
This is a great resort for both beginners and experts, the powder is great on some days. I honestly prefer Loveland Pass over Jackson.
Whenever I come to Colorado in the winter this is my go-to resort. Also the ridge is a great run to just calm down and just forget everything!!
What I liked best was the cost for the area, plus there are some great runs. Fantastic views up on the great divide. Good for all skiing abilities.
Overall employees are polite but they are very understaffed and overwhelmed so are not able to give helpful information. Some employees are very rude to foreign customers and were very belittling. Loveland dropped the ball, for it being the peak time every year they were completely inefficient and ill prepared.
enjoyed....with my new rocket fish board CHEMIN by Chamonix....superb bought on the house website with bindings just for $285
great place for intermediate and experts....not much for beginers...
Great slopes and little to no lines at lifts. Great area! I'm definitely coming back this season!
Great ski area! Local spot and close to Denver so able to avoid most ski traffic.
Great little resort! Prices were reasonable and while there were no high speed lifts you didn't have to wait in line long.
Great resort for the money. Not crazy expensive, less people and lift lines with quality runs. Only complaint is all the lifts are older so they're kind of slow, but it's worth it.
I love Loveland, traffic can get heavy a bit later in the day but always some of the best Pow! In Colorado on the fly! No lodging, minimal food and accommodations, the way it should be.
The facility has a equipment rental shop for skiing and snowboarding. The bunny slopes were easy to access and were separated from high skill areas.
Great Great survic. A nice ski area for a beginner.
Great conditions and super friendly lift operators!
Take lift 9 up to the continental divide. Great views.
This was an awesome place for me and my Youth Group peers! The slopes are amazing and super fun, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Best place around the area that accommodates in many ways and has some of the best pricing. I would definitely recommend for first timers.
Rude, misleading, etc. We called Wednesday and asked about deals for our 5th grader first time lesson and rental as part of the ski pass. We admitted we were late in the year and the gal who we talked to said, no problem, it is free. We'll send you an email, come up tomorrow and have your son have a great day of lessons, rentals, etc. Wow, so cool, so ice.
Other resorts were giving us $10-25 off.
Then we get up there thursday and the manager pulls us aside and says, no way. That is way expired and you need to pay. Then why did we get an email, talk in advance and get confirmed all this in advance for free. We decided wednesday to go up here to loveland ski school b/c of what was promised. It doesn't matter if someone gave us the wrong info, then sent us an email confirming that info and if the manager decides it was all wrong. We shouldn't get punished b/c your staff was wrong and communicated wrong to us. Mrs Manager, deal with your staff issues and don't take out your frustration on your customers. We live in Colorado and will not recommend your resort, ski school to the rest of our family, community or anyone else. Hope winning that battle wins the war for you as well.
Great people, true wide variety of terrain, and very people oriented .
Great place for people who care about skiing, not to be seen at a resort.
One of my favorites. fewer tourists and usually great snow. free parking and reasonably priced cafeteria.
This was our first time skiing in the US, and second time overall. The weather was beautiful, and facility more than comfortable. Our private lesson instructor Stacey was very good, he spent ample of time on my wife and my son. He quickly identified what the best way was to get them to hit the slopes.
I would recommend Loveland area and Stacey to anyone that wants a peaceful and friendly area to learn the slopes.
I've been about 10 times, im flying in tonight. Cant wait to be there!!!!!!!!!!!
Inexpensive. Nice skiing. Short Lift lines (was a Monday). Reasonable food choices. Friendly and helpful staff.
One of my favorite ski areas in colorado, one of the best bowls in colorado and the Cat rides are what you want to get to the powder
Good runs. Friendly staff. Best lost and found ever.
My kids are the 4th generation in our family to learn how to ski at Loveland. We love it there. Great terrain and amazing people. Part of me kinda hopes y'all keep driving past it.
This one is my favorite skiing place. It's beer than Park City
I've been skiing The Luv for years. The runs are great, the workers are always pleasant and the lift lines are shorter than anywhere else. (A 5+ minute wait is a rarity and most of the time you can almost ski right up to a chair and load!) The prices are outstanding considering you can drive down the road and pay $40 or $50 more per lift ticket. The food at the chalet is pretty decent (as long as you are not expecting 5-Star gourmet dinning) and the bar downstairs is a great place to unwind after a long day on the slopes.
The only drawbacks are no high speed lifts and no lodging onsite.
Overall this is easily one of my favorite places to ski and I always look forward to coming back again!
Not at all acceptable. Pretentious. Gaudy. Tasteless. I'll never bring my family to this tourist trap. Thank GOD I left them home.
Had a great time here. My wife took first time lessons and now loves skiing! The rental assistant manager (didn't catch his name, in the rental shop next to ski school in the valley) went above and beyond to accommodate us. The slopes on the basin and the valley were in great condition. Wish I would have had more than one day here!
Only caveat is the parking situation. Fills up fast on weekends so get here as early as possible.
A lot more moguls than I'm used to but good value for the price
I think Loveland is WONDERFUL for beginners and for experts, but it doesn't have great runs for "blue" skiers. I kept wishing that I was more adventurous because the excellent skiers looked like they were having the best time making their own trails through fresh powder in the bowls. Also, the views can't be beat. I think it has the best views compared to all of the other mountains. The price is also super cheap and you aren't skiing with a lot of uppity tourists. I'll be back, once I'm a better skier!
Great ski resort not far from Denver. Good selection of slopes. Food reasonably priced. Friendly staff.
Highly underrated ski area. Lots of trails (when open) and best ticket prices around. 64 bucks vs 100+, definitely a great deal. That being said it's no Breck or crested Butte
Love it here. Just skiing, no fiddling around. Good old style cafeteria.
Favorite place to shred the mountains I've been so far
I love this place. There was one rude rude staff member getting on the lift but other than that i had a very good time. Not gosh awful crowded. The cafe was crowded with minimal seating. But you get on and off the lifts pretty quick. Been coming here since i was younger
The instructor was very rude and contradicting with his lessons. He was very rushing with no patience and had a very clear attitude.
Classic, old school ski area with terrain for all. Mostly fixed grip chairs are the right choice for high altitude skiing when the wind kicks up. Steeps, bumps, trees, above tree line cornices, Loveland has lots of options even if the runs aren't super long. Food options are decent, and reasonably priced by, say, Vail standards. And close enough to the Front Range that you can ski the morning and still get most of a day at work, if you need to.
My husband and I cannot wait to come back here! So much fun, so close to Denver, and so affordable!
Also...if you haven't had legit Colorado green chili with pork on top of a snowy mountain, I recommend you make your way up to Ptarmigan Roost. Pair it with your choice of Oscar Blues beer for a fun ski back down the mountain!
Good terrain for all levels of ability. Friendly lifts ops and great food.
Shortest drive from Denver to a major ski resort. No frills but, good runs, great views, quick processing before getting on the slopes and no meaningful lift lines.
First time ever snowboarding!! The entire property was SO FULL!! I wish there would've been a better parking situation; parking attendees were grouchy & harsh... Otherwise... It was so much fun, though a real physical challenge. Just like I enjoy;) Expect to fall a lot, first time! It might be somewhat painful, but I think it's worth the excitement! Even though it was super busy, felt like I still got a fair amount of space to learn with my friend & play. The cost of a day pass was reasonable. About $30ish for all-day access to beginner's slopes. Includes riding on the ski-lift, unlimited rounds of it. There are gear rental options, though I had gone to a small sports store elsewhere, the day before, for my rentals. I'm not sure the price comparison of that, check on it.. The staff on-the-ice & operating the lifts: cool, helpful, attentive people. At one point, I thought I had sprained my ankle.. They were glad to send medical help, but I walked it off after resting it a little while -- ha! I'd happily come back!! Hopefully during a time it's not so crowded.
Best value in skiing I have found for a casual skier.
I have been skiing for a while and was told that this is a great place to bring big groups of people since they have the 4pk deal earlier in the season. When we went the mountain is beutiful and the staff ate super friendly and helpful. My only issue and my groups issue is that they dont have safety bars on there lifts. Except one of them. It is really scary for newer people or even experience pll. At multiple points the lifts stopped and then we all were bouncing in the lift. And it was truely terrifying to be bouncing in a chair 30+ ft off the ground. I hope you all add the safety bars in the future because it is a truely amazing place to ski.
A.azing as always. Friendly people and great slopes!!
Loveland is not as fancy as some other resorts in Colorado and doesn't have great restaurants, but it's cheaper, much closer to Denver / Boulder area and offers same services and trails.
Never disappointed. I've had a season pass here for 15+ years!
This local slope has something magical about it. It s difficult to describe, but it uncovers a hidden bond of love with those you experience it with. And be sure to find the summit on the Continental Divide. That is all I ll say about it. If you do, then you will. Happy travels, America.
I had a bed experience there, but for sure it is one of the most amazing places on Colorado. I can't compare Loveland with other ski resorts, but if your not looking for the super special ski area, here you can find everything and good. Dificult roads for snowboarding, easy roads, freestyle, training roads... People there are very nice and will help you always.
Loveland ski resort is amazing! First off, the facilities are top notch. Clean restrooms, friendly service, easily identifiable signs, and cheap prices!! I came early in the year but the snow was still great. Can't say for the weekends but in a weekday it is not crowded at all. Loveland is a huge bowl with many many runs. They have a terrain park with rails as well.
There is Wi-Fi for the folks they stay back at the lodge. Try the Loveland IPA. So delicious! Highly recommended alternative to the high priced resorts
First time snowboarder, Stacy Smith was an excellent instructor who got me connecting my turns in 2 hours and showed me how to do a 180 at the end! He was very easy going and supportive I highly recommend a private lesson with Stacy! The whole staff was very friendly and encouraging. Thanks Stacy!
I really want to give this place a 5 star. The children's instructor was great, the facilities are nice and it is reasonably priced. But you really can't compare this place to the higher end resorts that have additional conveniences like hotels, nicer lifts etc. IN TERMS OF VALUE, THIS PLACE IS 5+ STARS!
