It's a really great area. Very very windy!!! Pushes the powder around and makes deep pockets as well as packed snow with no powder. Really close and convenient skiing with small but decent tree runs.

A great little ski resort close to Denver. Much quicker to get to than many other resorts. Friendly staff & plenty of ski runs to cater for a variety of standards. Got a good deal using the GEMS Card during the week.

My review is related to Loveland Ski/Snowboard School. I did an online research on different resorts in Colorado and their pricing models for lifts tickets and schools. I think Loveland has one of the best value propositions for the beginner lessons, beginner slope lift price (you can buy a ticket separately), and the seasonal pass after 3 lessons deal. In addition, many thanks for snowboard instructors like Brian Long, who can teach you how to snowboard in one day and is very upbeat, taking care of your safety, and encouraging to learn how to snowboard right.

Love riding here! Just don't eat their food unless you want to feel like you're dying for the next two days. Second time I've gotten food poisoning from there. And I know it was from there because it was the only thing I ate that day, and I could identify Cleary what i puking up. Everything else is AMAZABALLS here.

Maybe good for beginners but skiing in control is not well enforced. Nasty wrecks between skiers happen all the time there, and the employees don't really care about giving the best service and are rather unprofessional. Have been three times because my friend has a season pass but I plan not to return if I can help it.

What's not to love about Loveland Ski Resort? Perhaps it is smaller than the other resorts, but that makes it family friendly and easier to find your party on the slopes if you need to meet.

I usually ski on weekdays to avoid crowds. Weather is mostly awesome, with occasional cold (below 25 F in my opinion) and windy days. Loveland has been updating their equipment, lifts, and lodges recently. Food at the lodge has variety and is perhaps more affordable than other resorts.

I like the location off of I-70 and being located on east side of Eisenhower Tunnel for convenience from Denver area. Travel can be difficult when everyone is leaving at the same time near closing time.

Ski schools are great and I find their ski school/season pass deal affordable and convenient.

Don't forget Loveland is part of the Colorado 5th/6th grade pass program that has some free passes, which is open to students even out of state.

We had an incredible time here. Three beginners had a great time in their classes, and the instructors were great with the kids. Great pieces on lift tickets and equipment rentals for drop-ins.

I am so thankful for the people that work here or Staffing the chair lifts on holidays and weekends. I really like this place a lot especially for the fact that this is where both my son and I have learned how to ski from day one. Getting a ski pass here or a season pass is very economical and will not break the bank. It's really easy to get that this place doesn't take much time at all. This last season we almost went on every single run but for some of the crazy blacks laugh out loud we accidentally went down one of the blacks however we challenge ourselves and had a good time. Memories that will last a lifetime!

We took a last minute trip to Colorado a couple months ago. For being a family of 5, I was pretty hesitant about how much it would cost for us to ski. I found Loveland online, read some of the reviews, and we decided that this was the place to have some fun! I did some research before we headed out to Loveland, their website is very user friendly, and was able to get some very helpful tips to prepare for our trip! Once we got there, we signed up to get our equipment, their staff was very nice and friendly, they didn't treat us any different when we told them that we were first timers, which made us feel comfortable. I thought we were going to pay a lot to ski but believe or not, it wasn't that expensive compared to other ski areas! Really great spot for day skiing, as it was a last minute thing for us! Definitely recommend this for beginners. It was the best decision we made! Thank you Loveland for a great experience! We will definitely be returning.

Wow the secret is out!!! They have had a record year. Even with the crowds they still provided top notch service.
We just got back and had one of my best experiences there yet. My 6 year old was diagnosed with double ear infections the day before we left. I always book classes for him the whole week. He was so sick and only got to ski/board 2.5 days. They were so patent with him and worked with me on refunding his sick days. Our instructors and staff were exceptional this years. Michelle with the ski school was so calming in my time of need. Bryan Long taught my oldest child and I to snowboard last year. We were both confident he could do wonders for my husband and did. We will continue to request him! I took a class with Kari this year and she helped me tremendously. Gram taught my 6 year old in the last day and he can't stop talking about him. My children, Husband and other members of our family all learned how to ski/board there. Loveland is officially a family tradition.

If you are a beginner skier or snowboarder you won't find a better deal on lessons and rentals in the area. Very reasonably priced food, staff are awesome and very helpful. You can bring your own food if you wish, and there are lockers that you can put your stuff (but they are kinda small so use smaller backpacks).

A local gem! We love Loveland and the routes. One of the park staff saw me hesitating on one of the beginner boxes at the terrain and was friendly enough to give me a quick tip. I got the 50-50 and he hyped me up and it made me feel so good!

I Love Love Love Loveland. They have a great package for everything you need to ski. Not just lift ticket and skis, but all the clothing and gloves too. You don't see that often, but how easy to drive up from Denver in street clothes and ski without lugging all that stuff on the plane.

Spent some time training the kids here before riding the slopes of Vail. Not bad at all for kids and beginners. The price for a gang of 4 including lift tickets and rentals wasnt bad either. Respect for no shady business and hidden fees. Enjoyed the stay.

Love this place! It has a great bunny hill for the kids and all kinds of runs for grown ups. Theres a shuttle that runs from the bunny hill to thr main mountain which is nice. And my kids live skiing above the Eisenhower tunnel.

Its the closest to Denver so I dont have to drive far and there seems to always be good snow. The lodge is nice with a restaurant and cafe but I wish it were a little bigger. It seems like ois always crowded trying to find a seat at lunch.

This place is magic. They have high and low speed lifts. They have all varieties of terrain to ski. They also have back country access gates. (enter at your own risk; be prepared with proper gear and avalanche knowledge) the valley is a perfect place to learn to ski or just ramp up your skills before hitting the basin where most of the skiing is. Lift 9 is my favorite. The rental/repair/retail shop employees are very friendly and can answer most questions in your best interest. The teachers do an amazing job and are very dedicated to getting you enjoying this beautiful sport with safety and proper techniques in mind. Also note you can go after 12 noon and pay a half day price. A lot of people skip over this gem of a resort when it's one of the best in Colorado in my opinion. It isn't very big but you can spend all day doing different runs easily. Also being a little over an hour away from Denver you can't pass it up! Most importantly have fun be safe, the best ski days are ones where you walk away with your friends.

A very solid place to get some fun in, it may not be the biggest mountain but the slopes are always nice. My favorite part is how close the slopes are to the parking lot. It makes walking with space boots on a whole lot better.

Our first experience at Loveland Ski Area was very impressive. From the time we parked to getting our tickets and ski gear, we were on the slopes in less than an hour. Compared to other ski locations in the area, this is a hidden jewel (as one of the ski patrol kids told me). Can t wait to go back!

I had a wonderful time here. The day started with the Director offering to take pics of me and my daughter after seeing us struggle with the selfies! We then went into our respective classes. The teachers were EXCELLENT. My daughter wanted to bail out but the patient instructor worked with her and by the time I picked her up she was begging to get back on the slopes. Thanks Brendan and Brani (SP)! You guys made it worth every cent! :)
