So many different runs and trail combos you can put together! It s divided into two areas to give the beginners an area where they can develop without disrupting the runs of those more advanced which is also great!

We have went to Loveland for 2 years now. We love it and will continue to go back. Although I haven't been to many other ski resorts, after talking to the locals it's by far the cheaper way to go while still being able to get a quality experience. I would rate a 4.5

Had a great time at loveland ski area. I did the lesson package and Keith was our instructor. We did the intermediate lesson. The mountain had plenty of trails and for a Saturday did not find it crowded at all. A great experience, the cafe also has good lunch options. It was great that the parking was free and the prices are reasonable. I would be back for sure.

Beautiful and scenic road bike trail up here and it was not disappointed. I have to admit the bike trail I was on had either uphill the entire way or down hill all the way back so that got quite boring. But the views made up for everything with small waterfalls around the biking trail and green little Meadows off to the side that you could explore More for someone who's not looking for a diverse workout but to really get in touch with the environment.

A great local ski slope. Not as many frills means cheaper lift tickets! I took a group lesson and the instructor made time to work with everyone individually. Free shuttle service to both ski areas.

Loveland is our favorite Ski Area!! We brought our family here for years while they were growing up. Today we brought our 3 little granddaughters. They were so excited for ski school! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The instructors are great with the kids and adults. Lots of beautiful snow. Great value too!

Lift tickets are cheap compared to many other resorts in the area. The amount of skiable area is not as large as other resorts, but skiing here is well worth it due to the discount they offer. Would highly recommend. Check out the "4 Pack" deal on there website.

I learned to ski at Loveland. The instructor I had, Jane, was awesome and had me up and skiing after my first lesson. The bros in the ski shop are great and got my boots adjusted perfectly. Skiing for all levels at Loveland from nice and easy groomers all the way up to Snow Cat skiing double diamonds off the Continental Divide.

Way too overcrowded. The rental room is so small you re standing on top of the people next to you. Over half of the workers are extremely rude. There s never enough room to sit down and eat because people just leave their bags and trash everywhere in the dining area and management does not care. The renting process is an absolute nightmare. Avoid this place and drive the extra 30-45 min to Breckenridge.

One of my favorite Colorado mountains to ski. Loveland is one of the last independent family owned resorts in Colorado, and truly feels like a locals mountain. Lots of great varied terrain, and great people too. The guys in the tune shop are some of the best in the business and will tune your gear up while you have a delicious Bloody Mary at the Rathskeller.

My wife and I love this place. We live in Australia and are returning again to Loveland in April for our second visit.
We love it because of the great snow, friendly staff and reasonable prices. We also like that it is where the locals ski and you don't get the "look at me, I'm so cool" set..
Last year we had a great instructor, Faye who really helped us a lot and we will be using her services again.

I ski here very often and enjoy it a lot. Since it's about 20 min from my office, a typical day for me is a couple hour ski break and then back to work.

The mountain is great, but at times it can be extremely cold and windy due to the location at the top of the Continental Divide, so come prepared. Weather on the divide can change very rapidly. That same wind can either scour the snow into sastrugi in some places and also leave wonderful pillows of awesome powder in other places!

The snowcat at the top of the Ridge is a great thing when it's operating. If you don't mind a short hike, SuperBowl or WildChild can offer a wonderful payback for a little effort. Patrol Bowl, South Chutes, Over the Rainbow, and all the runs through the trees between Lift #4 and #8 can also be fun places to play.

Season passes are very reasonably priced and there is a good program for developing young skiers.

There are some absolutely wonderful employees at Loveland, but there are a few who obviously don't give a damn about the guests or doing their job well, and it's hard to understand why they are allowed to remain.

Lift line management at the bottom of Chair 1 is pathetic - chairs going up partially full with big lines at times, since the attendants don't do anything proactive to match skiers from the single line with pairs or other singles.

On weekends, the parking lot guys often don't bother to take down the LOT FULL signs as the Denver people begin to leave mid-day, so pay no attention - there is usually a spot up front to be had in the early afternoon if you're just going up for a half day in the afternoon.

I ski at many areas large and small, and patrolled at two ski areas myself, so I have a good understanding of mountain operations and a basis for comparison - the weak organization and occasional utter lack of professionalism at Loveland is a bit obvious at times. The place clearly needs better leadership.

First time snowboarding and the staff are extremely helpful. Prices aren't bad at all especially if you have a seasonal pass and the discounts are generous. Nice cafeteria with all the basic meals and all kinds of snacks. The equipment is well maintained and it's obvious that the staff and instructors are passionate about what they do.

I pass this place all the time headed for the big resorts and decided to check it out this time. It was a big surprise on the size of the mountain and quality of skiing. It is for the skier that doesn't need all the resort options.
If you are visiting the Denver area and only have a day to ski this would be a great option at a much lower ticket price.

Skiing is Great!!!

Skiing is Great!!!
The service at the bar and restraints suck!!!!
Omg if I could get some service in line when I arrive would be great.
And if anyone asked me if I was doing ok would be nice.
Maybe if I was regular it would be different.
Man do I miss copper mountain.
I m saving next year for that pass. Made a mistake buying the closets mountain to me in Denver.
Go Broncos!!!

Loveland is a great resort to escape traffic and long lift lines. Great trails and employees are awesome! Unfortunately, the weather this year has been crappy for all Colorado resorts. Bring back the snow..lol!

This is my favorite local skiing spot. Lift ticket prices are fair and affordable (I typically buy the 1/2 day starting at 11:30am-4pm & costing $60-$65 depending on the time of season).
The nice thing about Loveland Ski Area is they have a separate part of mountain designed for beginners, with a small magic carpet & chair lift. The larger part of the mountain is geared to towards intermediate/advanced skiing.
The staff is super friendly and always there to help you when you need it. Highly recommend this ski resort!

This place is trash. From the over priced menu riddled with food poisoning (I have personally gotten it TWICE from here- they also failed health inspections for the kitchen in 2018 and previous years...) to the impersonal and disrespectful ways they treat their own employees, it's best to just avoid this craphole all together.

The biggest problem? They have zero concern for safety. It's all about profit. Only now (may 2018) are they attempting to change things. Because finally, after years of negligence to safety standards, they got caught red-handed screwing up and cost one of their employees his life. OSHA fined them $65,000 for >>>THIRTEEN<<< safety violations. Thats impressively stupid, cruel, and downright irresponsible.

Be a better person and don't support this greed ridden place. You might become their next tragedy if you don't heed this cautioning.

But I guess that's your choice, to put your life and/or your family's at risk...... I personally wouldn't just to save a few bucks, because life and safety > money.

Had a great experience this past weekend. One of my snowboard boots broke so I headed to the repair shop. They didn't have the right part to repair my boot but they hooked me up with a free pair of rental boots! I was back on the slopes in 20 minutes.

Always a favorite. This mountain provides a wide variety of terrain. It keeps the beginners where they should be and the more experienced ski and boarders where they can enjoy themselves.

Ski school for kids is amazing. The instructors are kind, patient, and super knowledgable about teaching kids in a way that is easy for them to pick up.
The mountain offers a wide range of trails for all levels and even has a free snowcat to help you find the best lines down from the ridge if you're looking for a bit more of a challenge.

Great place to go skiing and only an hour from Downtown Denver. Me and my partner usually go skiing in NM, and Loveland compared to NM has some pretty steep blue runs. Can't wait to see this place on a nice Pow day.

Rude awful woman at the ski lift area.... as we got off I fell, so my husband had to try to get around me and was hit by the lift. The lift operator cussed at me and my husband, used the f word at us.... there were kids around. Dangerous operator, with a horrible attitude. Will not go back! It s a shame because we live in Denver and it s easy to go there. Awful experience.
