Beautiful, well organized. Friendly, helpful staff. Buildings were easy to find.

I just wish the signage of the ski runs were better. I got off Chet's Dream lift, made it down a bit, and had no idea which run was which once they started intersecting. My beginner friend had a bad day, accidentally getting on a blue square run.

Ski school area is the best for learners. We have been to several mountains in the area and this was the best. There are several slopes with varying difficulty so as we got better we were able to continue to challenge ourselves.

Visiting Colorado from Orlando, FL.

Visiting Colorado from Orlando, FL.
My friends and I were researching for months places to go snowboarding around Idaho Springs. We all kept hearing about Breckenridge but the prices were really high for something that we were probably not going to do too much of.

We got to Colorado and at the Alamo renting place at the airport, a nice gentleman recommended Loveland. We started comparing Breckenridge to Loveland, and clearly Loveland won. The prices were fair and it wasn't too far away from the cabin we were staying in. We called and asked for the prices over the phone and exactly what we heard its exactly what we got when we got there.

We did the half day special along with renting the gear and the snowboard. Everyone was extremely nice and very helpful. They guided us in how to use the boards, how to wear the gear, and which mountain is good for beginners. Everyone in the renting the clothes were extremely helpful and they answered all of our questions.

We went up the lift and went down on the mountain (its harder than it looks but we did it) as we were coming down the mountain I lost my phone. I was going crazy cause back where I'm from, I wouldn't see the phone again. I went in and out of the rental clothes place looking for the phone, went up and down the mountain and asked all the workers if they seen it and all of them said no, that if they find it, they'll turn it in. As we were getting ready to leave someone asked us in the rental place of we had fun and I responded "a lot of fun, even though I lost my phone" she kept talking to my friends but I walked away. My friends came out with MY PHONE! I'm forever thankful for this place and everyone there because they were beyond helpful.

I also got to fulfilled my long time dream, SNOWBOARD!

Well you little options on a mountain. Very expensive, a lot of variety, but not very high quality. They got you over a barrel and charge you appropriately. I'll say though, a beer on the side of a mountain are very sweet, event if it at a 700% price hike.

Shhh..

Slopes were fantastic! Lots of REALLY long green and blue slopes to keep you entertained. (Sometimes in other places there aren't very many green slopes for those of us who just want to cruise and not hurt yourself.) Smaller crowds than the bigger resorts. This is my favorite so far of the smaller boutique resorts. Will definitely be back! The only halfway complaint I have is the equipment rental process. It's very small and crowded and understaffed and it took us 1-1/2 hours just to get our gear. However, the staff was very helpful and doing the best they could, and the gear itself was top notch.

This is perfectly acceptable ski resort. Plenty of acreage and long enough runs and nice and close to downtown Denver. Just know going in that the lifts are slower (The reason I am giving four stars instead of five). So if you are about getting lots of runs and high-speed chairs are important to you, this is not your place. Very affordable for families. Don't overlook it, try it at least a day.

A year later: updated to five stars. They have now installed a high-speed chair, it is awesome. My nephews binding broke on his snowboard, took it down to the repair shop, they fixed it 100% for only $10! They could ve easily charged 30. Classy operation. Thank you Loveland. We are absolutely coming back.

Carson is legit the best instructor ever!!! We just moved here from Texas and have never been snowboarding before. He was such an amazing coach and is so knowledgeable! If you take a Private lesson as for him and you will be in good hands! #welovecarson

I LOVE LOVELAND!!!!!!!!! It's one of the cheapest ski resorts in the area and it rocks! Its never too crowded and everyone is ridiculously nice!! Down at the valley and up in the basin, such a nice atmosphere. The mountains and slopes are great!! Went 3 times and plan to return

I loved it .. i'm a beginner and took a package with the school. My trainer Jenny was excellent. I started from scratch and was on the slopes after about 1.5 hrs of training .. they are really good and the snow on the slopes is really very soft ..

Our favorite place near Denver! We have been skiing Love for years now, and can t imagine going somewhere else. The staff is great, they are putting in a high speed lift this year, and generally all improvements they have made the past eight years have only made it better.

Spent the day snowboarding while my daughter took a ski lesson with Tracy. He was awesome, she loved him. Very good instructor that got her skiing down beginner hills on day one, he was apparently funny too. I am a decent boarder, had a lot of fun on both sides of the resort. Would highly recommend this place. The price is also much more reasonable than some resorts in the area.

There's two different areas: Loveland valley (for beginners with the bunny slopes) and Loveland ski area (more difficult slopes). There's a shuttle that takes you from one side to the other, and ski/snowboard rentals are available at both locations. There's also food available at both locations. The lift tickets are cheaper at Loveland Valley.

We rented skis for my 5 year old niece which is a great deal ($12 for skis, helmet, and goggles). There are two magic carpets we went to, one very small and short slope located right next to the lift ticket windows, and a longer, larger one farther away near the parking area. There's lift 7 in between these magic carpets which is a green slope.

We went on a 3-day weekend so it was pretty busy, and multiple groups in ski/snowboard school. The employees there were all helpful, from those assisting with parking when we got there early in the morning, to those scanning lift tickets. We had the 4-pak and got zip ties for it from the shop next to the eating area. She was very kind and explained the area to us, as it was our first time at the valley.

It was snowing so it was a great day for learning with all the falling involved. It did get pretty windy at times, and the wind chill affected our car. It's less windy in the valley (we parked at the main ski area).

All in all, a great experience and a wonderful time for the kids and adults! Awesome views, amazing fun! Worth the drive!

Cameron is by far one of the best lifties around. Not many people can be as personable as he is while keeping the flow going and running old chairs like he does. I ve had plenty of old chairs smash me in the back of the legs and this guy has it dialed in. A+ Cameron Keep it up.

We visited this mountain January 1-5 2019. We have been numerous places in Colorado to ski and this is my favorite! Only 50 minutes from Denver makes it one of the closest mountains to ski at coming from OKC. There we re so many blue runs for my family to explore. I can t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back. Oh and... stay in Georgetown it s only a 15 minute drive. Can t get much better than that.

The best is the price quality ratio. I think it's the most economical in the area. But sure much cheaper than Aspen. And the truth is that the tracks are pretty good. Of course I would have liked to find more clues because I was a whole week, but I insist that for the price I was very satisfied. I recommend this center.

Great place for first timers and beginners. Rentals are very reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The Valley is great for learning how to ski or ride and they offer lessons for a small fee. Food prices in either Lodge are reasonable. Great day!

I have only been twice but i don't understand no safety bars. Maybe on the bigger lifts but on the bunny slope? For adults who don't mind no safety bar this place is close and cheaper than the other summit county resorts. This past weekend I was on Lift 1 or 2 and it was swinging my son had to move his board so it didn't make contact. 3 stories up and no safety bar and a 8 year old...won't do it! I'll stick to Copper Mountain.

I went up midweek to avoid the crowds and I-70 weekend traffic. I purchased senior ticket for $57 and skied for half day. This is a no frills area but I love it. It has decent food in large base area.

Great place but they need to update the ski lodge. They are losing a lot of money by having a THIRTY minute line for food

This is a locals mountain, which is awesome. I was riding by myself and met someone else riding alone.
We rode fresh powder all day together. No lift lines.

The staff in the season pass office was super helpful on giving me directions on where to ride as I'd never been there before.
