I'm a first time skier. The workers at this place (rentals shop and the food court) almost went out of their way to not be helpful. The only people who could be considered helpful were the ski lift operators. At least they were funny and cracked so joke. First, the rental shop. Yes it was busy but there was ZERO order in there. The cashier rented us equipment that wasn't even in stock. We found that out on our own when we were scrambling around asking anybody where we go next or how do we get this piece of gear. Come to found out we were sold helmets and googles when there were none to be sold. They talk to you like every person that comes in there is a seasoned thrasher. We asked the guy "where do we get the poles?" His response was "you get the poles where the poles are hanging" What? We ended up asking another skier where he got his poles and he pointed us in the right direction. In the end we skied down the mountain with no helmet and no goggles. Second, the people at the food court. We wanted to know where we placed the order. We literally were standing 2 feet from the lady and she completely ignored us. After 3 or 4 minutes of her fumbling around she finally had time to speak to us. We asked if there was other options to eat other than the deli and she said no. So we ended up eating the cold deli sandwich and chips. After paying for our food we walkaround the corner to see the hot grill (burgers, chicken tenders, etc). That would have been nice to know. In the end it seemed like most of the people here hated their jobs and as paying customers we were inconveniencing them. We even heard one of the rental shop guys say "the lifts close at 4pm b/c we want to get out of here and go home" Newsflash, dude, getting off at 4pm is a luxury as most people have to work until 5 or 6 pm every weekday. So how about when you are on the clock, be helpful and actually do you job and don't act like every person is inconveniencing your radical lifestyle, man.

As a former Epic Pass holder for 25 years, I had always driven by Loveland. There were the rumors:
Too Windy
Too Small
Too Windy
Too Whatever

Loveland is my go to area, fo sho. I realized the locals had most likely started those rumors to thwart the unwashed masses.

Loveland is only 1.5 hours door to door from Aurora. I've skied when the parking lot was full, yet there wasn't never a wait for the lift line. The bar/restaurant has reasonably priced food and drinks...(I didn't think that was even possible at a ski area. It's a fantastic mountain...a challenge for any skill level.

Wait a minute...what am I thinking?

Don't go to Loveland...its way too small, cold and windy!

I love Loveland. It s not only way less expensive, but great slopes, great staff and great accommodations. We will continue to come back to this little paradise. It can sometimes be hard to get to due to massive amounts of snow dumping on the mountain. which is a great thing for riders.

I chose this place more often than not because of it's location. It's a fairly easy drive from Colorado Springs. I've snowboarded at many different locations in Colorado. This place has my favorite run.

The lines are short and move quickly. Trying to get my ski legs under me. The short slope off of lift 2 works well for starting out again. Went up on some the blue runs and the powder was a bit choppy. Only a few lifts open but I liked it enough to purchase a season pass.

Very fun mountain and the best local feel are you can find that is time Extinct like the dinosaurs and this mountain as a great local beginner mountain to learn on and not be intimidated and they have great deals for lessons and kids learning but the actual mountain is a great mountain the Kinski a 13 or via the snow cat or just go up to the continental divide and great snow possible if it's not too windy. Fun little tarrain park is well it's not a huge one but again great for just warming up for some fun in the sun!

Beware of the parking lot workers. They will dent your truck if you don't pull up far enough. Absolute lack of integrity/low class people in that department. $600 (not including paint) dent in my 40k truck.

I ve been snowboarding for 30 years, I ve worked in the industry for 15 years and I was so impressed by the amazing staff, friendliness and overall experience I ve come to to tell you all about it. First off I cannot began to to tell you how amazing the staff here is: during the busiest holiday weekend they were so upbeat and outgoing! Second the prices were absolutely reasonable(by ski area rules). $5 for a hamburger in 2019 is commendable!!! Third the terrain is top notch! I was riding fresh powder days after the storm( unheard of at many resorts). Overall this was a five star resort masquerading as a small mom and pop ski area. Do yourself a favor a visit Loveland. You ll thank me later.

This is a fun place to go skiing especially for beginners. I even paid for a full-price ticket and we decided just to go to the "Lift 7" area and they refunded me back to the lower price. Even with a "all final sales" policy, it's nice to see them grant this kind of exception. Good customer service move.

It s pretty small and there a ton of people but the price to ride and eat and drink isn t bad.

A great place to bring the family if it's your first time skiing in the Rockies. Great prices $79 walk up ticket price for prime season in February on a Saturday. $39 for kids 14 and under. Lift lines where never over 5 min. Less at the top lifts for #4, #8, #9. Great snow conditions, except the massive wind storms at the top of 13,000' bring a full facemask everyone. 1,800+ acres and 2,100 vertical drop. Snowcats are a bonus if your into the double blacks and expert skiing free with lift, just sign a waiver first...weather permitting. Arrive around 8 if you want decent parking right next to the ticket & rentals-clock tower. We stayed at Dillion CO a short 15 min 15 miles away drive from the ski resort your closest hotels will be there $125 a night on a Saturday quality Inn. If u want discount lift tickets purchase them online at least a week b4 your trip.

Excellent experience - staff in all areas were friendly. There were 4 non skiing seniors in our group and one staff member personally showed us a route to the restaurant that did not have any stairs. Really helped to make the afternoon enjoyable for all.

Loveland is great. I learned to snowboard here, worked as an instructor and continue to ride here. Season pass is reasonable and ticket prices are lower than most resorts. Lots of varied terrain. Pro tip keep an eye on the weather because if it's windy the mountain sucks.

If you're looking to go to a decent resorts with slopes for all ski levels (including a slalom course and jumps areas) then this is a great place. Not luxurious like some of the other resorts nor do they have a charming village but they offer some solid skiing experiences

Will never go to Loveland again. Disorganized, phone call and online booking system and unprofessional staff. We called 24 hours ahead to make a reservation for kids' ski lessons knowing how busy it can be around this time of year and explained to the employee that we plan on staying overnight in a mountain resort just so we can ski full day and skip the crazy i70 morning traffic. The agent instructed us that 24 hour advance booking is not possible and we need to book 48 hours in advance and seemed quite rushed. She advised that we show up on the day of and they can register our kids. When we got to ski school the next morning after staying in a hotel nearby they informed us that the ski school group lesson was full and there will only be private lessons available for our 5 year old and a steep price, added equipment rental cost and not starting until 2pm leaving us stranded to watch our kid for 5 hours and not be able to ski or with added childcare cost at the daycare. This was our spring break vacation which turned into a mess because of lack of professionalism of phone staff while we were told later that phone reservation is actually possible 24 hours ahead!! which is what it should be considering the weather conditions and roads in winters. So many conflicting and confusing information with a ckear lack of order! The booking staff was pretty impolite and once they saw my crying 5 yo for not being able to ski, the lady said 'I'm ok with that'(kid weeping) which was heart breaking to hear. She said I've probably talked to the wrong person over their resort phone line! What kind of an excuse is that for a customer? They are cheap for a reason and that's their lack of training for staff and also endangering their employees with unsafe practices like the poor one who died at work last year dealing with high voltage power lines. Do yourself a favor, pay a bit more and keep your family safe and out of here!

Favorite place to snowboard in Colorado! Great locals only feel without the locals only hostility (even for a non-Broncos fan).

Good prices on lift tickets and super friendly and helpful pro shop. Very easy rental process if needed. Plenty of parking.

We spend a lot of time here in the Winter. Skiing and boarding is good. Plenty of areas to hang out if you are waiting for someone else to ski/snowboard. Some good is OK, and some is not so good. I'm usually happy with the Chili. Nice selection of beer at the bar downstairs on the Basin side.

Great ski area. Easy to get to and not busy. Ski tickets are way more reasonable than ski areas on the other side of the tunnel.

Great skiing for entire family. It can be cold, but it's winter time. It can also be windy if the wind is coming up the valley.

Plenty of terrain for beginners to advanced.

No wait for the lifts. Perfect packed powder and great friendly staff. If you need a private lesson they offer those for snowboarding and skiing. Ask for Stacy Smith, he is the best. Had a blast and will be back!

No crowds and high elevation make this ski area a no brainer. Don't call it a ski resort because there is no hotel.

The chairs are older and slow, but the snow and lack of lines make up for it.

Be prepared for wind.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! I would do it again and again and again... loved the instructors and my only problem is rentals could be a lot easier (put shoes and equipments all in one place) but other than that 5 stars and A plus experience.

Great ski area but they kicked us out of the common area because of our dog. She was on a leash and wasn't bothering anyone. They told us if we wanted to stay we should put her in the car. So we left

This was a great place for me to learn how to snowboard! I managed to teach myself at the facilities they provided (although you probably should take a lesson). The staff were extremely friendly and one of the employees even remembered me when I returned weeks later, great experience!

It was our first experience in skiing. We had great time. My ski shoes were too tight for me to walk but the staffs were very helpful . I forgot to ask the name but the guy with long hair he definitely deserves good raise. Thank u loveland ski for making our first ski experience memorable

Underrated area because it s not part of a conglomerate and it s near the tunnel. Meanwhile, this place has some of the best exposures in Colorado. Great snowfall and not too windy like some of the other nearby mountains. On a powder day, the slopes north of I-70 offer some of the steepest and deepest in bounds terrain the state. The area above timberline isn t nearly as windswept as some of the same terrain on other mountains just west. They also have decent vertical despite their local mountain reputation.

Absolutely amazing time away from the big snow traffic It snowed heavy all day and we enjoyed every single minute of it. 5 stars. Equipment rentals and lift tickets were also . Hope to be back some day.

This place has phenomenal pricing for the amount of rideable terrain. A separate area for beginners is an amazing concept that helps maintain the main the amount of beginners at the Basin area. For thrills and more advanced riders, must try the Ridge !!!

Lessons are available for kids and adults, skiing or snowboarding. Love the instructors. Something to factor is the amount of Certified Instructors they have. You don't have to be certified to teach. Love Loveland.
