There was black guy named Jeff in the rental shop that was incredibly rude! I will never rent from the rental shop again this guys has no respect for customers and just lost a long time customer! Hopefully they get it together!

Epic ski resort. It is a lot of fun going up there and just skiing with friends. Probably one of the best things is the lodge at the top of the mountain, which I almost always use to warm myself up when my extremities get almost numb (I have horrible circulation, BUT I WON'T STOP SKIING), and but something to eat and drink. Another great thing is the cafeteria, as they have a burger that has raspberry sauce, one of my favorite things to eat.
Great close by ski area. Crowded on weekends but a week day is usually crowd free unless it's a big powder day. Pretty bleak snow so far this year but that's not the ski areas fault.
Great place to go ski/snowboarding. They have a good amount of runs and their bowls are a blast to go down. Their new lift Chet's Dream is extremely fast, I got 5 runs in my last hour.
Awesome resort for beginners! My snowboard instructor (Tripp) was amazing, he taught very well and I enjoyed myself the entire day! I rented all my gear, and clothing, from the resort and everything was in good condition and I stayed warm. Staff was friendly, (but there was this ski instructor whom I felt was being rude to his skiers) very helpful, and overall great customer service. The cafe does have microwaves if you chose to bring your own lunch instead of buying from the resort.
Most convenient ski area to Denver. At just over an hour drive, it is perfect for a day trip of fun in the hills. Often one of the first ski areas to open for the season and among the last to close. Lots of variety for skiers and snowboarders of all levels with affordable pass options and lots of partner resorts. I ski Loveland.
Love that they let you up hill ski. For free. Be warned though, you'll need to come beforehand so you can get an uphill pass. Can only get them during lift hours, but you can't uphill ski during lift hours...
One of my favorite mountains to go snowboarding. Great mix of terrain, very easy to get to, and closer to the front range than most others. Because you don't have to take a shuttle from the parking lot, and it is right off the highway, you can be on and off the mountain mush more easily. This makes the trip much shorter to start your day.
My first skiing adventure took place here at Loveland Ski. I could not have imagined going anywhere else to start it all off. The scenery is completely amazing, as is the skiing. They have a very large selection of trails to go down, all of which are in prestine condition. The prices were very reasonable, and the staff was extremely courteous. I certainly will be going back here in the future as it provided an awesome first experience. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an exciting place to ski!
Great ski area with an excellent begginers area (Valley) and very cheap all inclusive package! Highly recommend to all pros and amateurs alike! They make it really easy to switch between snowboarding and skiing as well!
Still one of my favorite areas to ski. Maybe it's because I like supporting mom-and-pop places, or maybe it's because it's never ridiculous busy OR expensive here, like all the Vail resorts up the road. No matter, I always ski Loveland when in CO.
Great terrain. It's small, yes, but the terrain is varied and can match any type of skiing you want to do. There's some steeps, some slow rollers, and there's some boot-packs.
It's usually pretty windy when you get to the top of the continental divide, but what can Loveland do about that? The answer is nothing. Be prepared for some cold weather if you head to the tippy-top of the chairs. However, the new warming hut up there is worth the trip! It has an amazing view and a small snack menu, too.
Wow, typing this review...I'm excited to get back to Loveland. C'mon, snow!
We came all the way here from the east coast and I really regret choosing to spend our money at this ski resort. The employees in the boot area were not very helpful and one of the girls clearly had an attitude with me. For some reason, they did not have boots my size and once that was established, they were just like whelp sorry you re on your own, can t have boots too loose but we don t have any smaller.. Then when I returned my boots, the same girl ignored me and rolled her eyes at me when I was confused where to return my boots. I understand you deal with people all day, but don t make your customer feel like a nuisance even if they might accidentally be one. If I had helpful and cheerful employees helping me, I would have had a better outlook on this place. So I wasted a ton of money to only go down the slope a couple times and then have to quit because my feet were sliding around in my boot.
This is our first time here and we really love this place. Loveland Valley is great for beginners or those who haven't skied lately and want to tune up. Loveland Basin has it all. I'm not a Black Diamond skier yet, bit there is plenty of long greens and nice blues to keep us busy. Food prices are reasonable too. There is a very friendly atmosphere here. That means a lot to me. People are just very helpful. You should check this place out!
I learned to ski here with the amazing 3 day class pass package. This package has the best value out of any resort that I've looked at. It includes, lift tickets, all rentals and After taking your 3rd ski or snowboarding class you're awarded with a season pass! Amazing deal, all the ski instructors were excellent, friendly and I learned to ski in no time. Love this resort, it wasn't super super crowded when I was there. I highly recommend it for beginners, great place to learn and improve.
Went today for a snowboard lesson with Stacy. He was fantastic! I came in with zero experience and he showed me within the 2 hour session, how to stand on the board, balance and how to turn (both heel side and toe side) and it was really really helpful!
If you are interested in snowboarding, definitely take a lesson and ask for Stacy. He's very friendly and great at both giving auditory and physical reminders on what you should be doing. By the end of the 2 hour session I was comfortable with turning (heel side) and slowing down/stopping.
I think one more lesson and I should be able to get toe side.. Thanks again Stacy!
The best part about this place is how close it is to Denver. It can be pretty windy which makes for a lot of icy area's. But overall a good value and good skiing.
It s a very nice place for skiing. Fells like you re at home. Personal are friendly and professional. Nature is really amazing. Views are gorgeous. I recommend this place to everyone. We re defiantly will come back here!
We have my 2 young daughters enrolled in ski classes this year, it's been nothing but amazing. Every time we've been there they've came home thrilled and ready to go back. The staff is full of passion and wonderfull with the students. I however, want to thank Tyler (manager/instructor) and Victor, this guys are truly great, thanks loveland ski school bunch, we love you and will be back Manny times soon.
I was a huge fan of the skiing at Loveland. I haven t done too much skiing in my life, but this resort was great for first-timers and novices. There are two sides to the resort and a shuttle runs between them, but the easier side was enough to entertain me for three days. I got a four pack of ski passes for a good price, and they had great prices on helmet and goggle rentals (I opted to rent skis and boots in Denver). The lodge was nice too, but the opening hours could ve been much better because the food places close in the mid afternoon.
Never boarded and wanted to finally learn, so we went with some friends. While they were hitting the double black I was on the beginner side. I can honestly say the staff over there was pretty rude to both me and my wife, and they acted like we were inconveniencing them by being beginners. Not a great experience. The main slope area was full of super helpful, friendly, and generally chill people that saved the experience. I would highly recommend it, a definite must.
I don't have to say it, because everybody already knows, but this place is beautiful, fun, and well-maintained. Obviously it's quite crowded being so close to Denver, but even with that it's still beautiful out here.
There's a reason they call Loveland the best-kept secret in Colorado. The locals love it here- there's tons of skiable terrain with comparatively small crowds. It's a family-owned operation with some of the friendliest workers I've ever met. I will return, count on it.
Also, try their spicy Bloody Mary with vodka soaked in peppers, onions, and carrots. Really hits the spot if you like it hot.
Trails were great, good surface with a little fresh powder. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Not as crowded as the larger resorts but all the slopes were open!
It was a fun trip to a beautiful place! We obviously came when it was extremely crowded during the first week of January because we had to wait 20-30 minutes in lines to go up the lifts. And the restaurants we're crazy crowded. But it was in a great location with awesome slopes!
Signed my wife up for a beginners lesson in snowboarding and we were very impressed with the training she received! They take their time with each person and they really know their stuff. I ve snowboarded for 16 years and was watching from the sidelines and was observing from time to time. I highly recommend signing up if you are new to the hobby!!
It's where the locals ski. A great selection of terrain - steep to easy, groomed, moguls, a ridge (the continental divide!) to jump off cornices, trees. Tip: if your work schedule is flexible, get the hooky day (Wednesday) passes with the 95.7 radio station.
Loveland is the locals mountain! It is the mountain for natives and real true skiers and boarders who want to have some of the best snow, the best powder.
Loveland is a Colorado gem if your a skier at heart. This ski area focus is on your skiing experience. The dining is hearty and not over priced. The lodge is well kept and clean. The mountain provides something for everyone.
Best value of all that I have been to. Backside trails are great and intense. Closest to Denver and a great shop with friendly employees. I love Loveland!!
Sometimes you dont realize how good things are until you stray. I will be sure to ski Loveland in the future as I messed up this year. Great snow, great terrain, and consistent. Keep on keeping on.
Not as big as Vail or Breckenridge, but one of the most friendliest places I've been, and the snow and terrain is just amazing. Even on its most busiest of days, I'm never in line more than 5 minutes. Definitely a very nice Hidden Gem off of I-70
