I go there just to eat their malnati salad without the meat, calamari and lasagna with marinara sauce. No pizza for me.
Yeah this place is Chicago legendary. They've got the pizza carryout down to a tee. Very quick, fresh, and precisely-made deep dish sausage pizza in 30 min. in the neighborhood with the friendliest, family-like staff, you can't beat it!! The pizza contains fresh diced tomatoes, nugget chunks of custom sausage, a soft, solid layer of mild cheese, and a crispy cornmeal crust. All four of these components are ALWAYS balanced in equal proportions. This is a very Lou Malnati's type of deep dish pizza but always consistent and delicious.
Delicious pizza! I've always been partial to their deep dish. But, the last time we were there, they had samples of their thin crust at the hostess station. Pleasantly surprised! One person in our party doesn't like deep sush, so usually orders a pasta, ended up getting the thin crust & really liked it!
Plenty of rooms and tables to enjoy delicious deep dish pizza.
Love the atmosphere at the original one with all the Bears nostalgia. The waiter we had was fabulous! And of course the pizza is great.
Classic Chicago deep dish pizza. Nothing else like it. Great service too.
Best deep Dish in town. Very friendly and nice environment.
Excellent Food The Best We Love It A Lot We Always Order Food For New Years Here And Anytime.
Today was my first time going food was great service was not to great forgetful thanks
The food was great except they didn t give us any bread
Waited more than an hour for a deep dish and it wasnt very good. Place was quite packed so maybe their thin crust is very nice??? Place was nice and cozy...
Edit: we took the leftover pizza to home... and its quite very good once its cold.
Original and met our expectations for Chicago's unique take on pizza. Good service, fare and atmosphere.
Easily a Chicago staple. Always quality pizza and service. If you don't know what a Chicago deep dish is like, then you owe it to yourself to try it!
The best place to have real pizza Chicago style.. if your looking for the real deal this is it! ! The food is awesome! always has been and always will be don't let the experience pass you by
Great food. People who don't like bruscetta were inhaling it.
Don't see why is it so much talked about, it was no different than just about any other pizza place
We preordered our pizza so we wouldn't have to wait so long. We had a 3 year old with us. The preordered pizza was never put in. The waitress kept saying 5 minutes but the pizza never came out. 2 hours later we still had no pizza, a tired 3 yr. old and some angry adults. The manager did pay for dinner but we will never go back.
This is an institution. This is the best of all their properties because the pans are original.from 60 years ago.
The best pizza on the planet! Have been to the original location about 20 times and have never disappointed!
I've been going to the Lincolnwood location since 1972. They are as good today as they were then! In my opinion (along with tens of thousands of other people) Lou Malnati's is by far the best deep dish pizza in the Chicago area!
Phenomenal pizza. I m from out of state and Lou was recommended. It did not disappoint in any way. The pizza was terrific, the service was wonderful, and the atmosphere is classic. I wish I could go again.
Ambiance is nice, but pizza is quite average. You'd expect it to be a more authentic than the one that you can get from Giordano's (just a couple blocks away) or even Domino's.
One of the original Lou's, and one of the best. Deep dish Chicago style (sausage/butter crust) is their signature pie.
We are from Toledo, Ohio. We love this place. We come at least 1or 2 times a year to get the pizza here.
The best pizza, we them back to Maryland for our family, we'll worth the drive.
Usually I'd give Lous a 5 star but it was a little sketchy this visit. The salad wasn't too fresh. We are in the middle of a plague though, so maybe the regular cooks arent there. Love you anyway
One of the best pan pizzas in Chicago. Plenty of room for a small group, there's even a freezer with frozen, half cooked pizzas you can take home
Service is attentive, the original deep dished pizza was okay, with not a lot of cheese and poor meat quality.
If you like deep dish. This is classic Chicago pizza. Excellent salad too!
Attended a party in their basement party room. Crammed 70 people into a space that shouldn't hold more than 40.
The room was mildewy, not clean, etc.
The young wait staff did an excellent job trying to serve everyone timely and were very polite; and the pizza, as always, was very good.
We found hair in our pizza. Baked into deep dish. The manager resolved it and took it off our bill however hearing from our server as she went into the kitchen "It happened again" wasn't the high point of the resolution. We also were complimented to a cookie pizza. The team resolved our issues however the fact of us facing the pizza having hair baked into it was counterintuitive
Great sarvice, delicious food, no hassle, parking no metter how busy they are .
My brother and I were searching long and hard for a place to eat on the way home and by the mercy of the Lord, we came across Lou Malnati's. We went out on a limb with their thin crust Poultry Sausage (turkey & chicken sausage) with More
If I could rate a million stars I would... They have great and friendly staff and the best pizza in Chicago!!!
I m from Texas. I mean, I guess my friends built too much expectation, so when I tried it, I was expecting more... overall good pizza!
Great deep dish. Original Chicago style. Make sure you order the original crust.
If there is ever a MUST do in Chicago, it's "Go To Lou's". Period. Want the deep dish, do it, but you gotta try the thin crust. WOW. Thin, crispy, tasty, meaty, cheesy, what other 'y' can I add? Not pricey that's for sure. Pound for pound, ounce for ounce, this pie is hands down "the best".
I am currently on a overnight trip in Chicago & I'm from Madison, WI. I wanted to have Authentic Chicago Style Pizza while I was down here and I got that & much more, I choose to eat at Lou Malnati's Original Lincolnwood Location. For my meal I had The Malnati Chicago Classic 5 Stars Best Pizza I have had in my entire life hands down nothing comes close. As a appetizer I had the cheese bread which was fantastic as well. The decor & the layout of the Restaurant & Bar is classic & old school with classic Bears, Bulls, Cubs, White Sox pictures and memorabilia on the walls. So Glad my mom & I chose to eat here & we only eat 2 out of the 6 slices of our pizza so we could take home 4 slices back home & enjoy it again!
This spot is excellent! Fair rates, big dishes and the staff members are consistently very friendly.
!TheI've been coming to Malnati's for over 30 years and have never been disappointed. Thank you for the great pizza!
The staff in the bar were very rude. We were just looking over our menu. We decided to leave after the attitude we got
Always the best around...never a complaint in over 30 years of going there!!!
All the way from Utah... Amazing. Ask for Debbie. She's great and will make your dining experience so much better!
I had the Lou deep dish pizza. It was delicious and the service was great
It looks lighter and brighter than the last time we went. Our server Lupo was an excellent guy as were some of the other very attentive and aware servers. I loved our fried zucchini and our pizza was delicious..spinach was one and the other sausage..delicious! Only thing was the pizza seemed to be slightly less deep than i remember but possibly it could be a recollection error?!
