Decent prices with a vast selection of instruments and equipment. I just wish the rental process didn't take that long and wasn't such a tedious process. I felt like I was adopting a child rather than renting speakers for a day. But I guess it's their way of ensuring their products are in good hands.
My son is a musician so we spend quite a bit of time and money here. Staff ALWAYS polite and helpful with repairs, rentals of equipment, and choosing the right new purchase, even if it's just a pair of drumsticks. The return policy is surprisingly generous. We also found our son's fantastic guitar teacher on the bulletin board in the rental section.

Fairly decent location of Long and Mcquade They don t have a great selection music books but they re happy to order anything in for you. Did you get the teachers discount of 10% if you were a piano and music teacher. The young blonde guy in the pro audio section is not only super cute but very helpful as well.

Love the Scarborough location, Mike is a great help and always works for the customer, After almost 2 yrs of trying to contact me through a lost email account he managed to get through and instead of destroying my credit asked how we can work this out instead of blaming me, as it was an automatic withdrawal error and not to my knowledge! Lowball trade ins. Offered 30% of the value of my equipment which was in PERFECT condition. It was heavy equipment too. I called in to get a quote which they refused to do, so I had to bring in $100's of dollars worth of heavy equipment. I overheard one of the representatives saying the owner of the scarborough store just wanted to buy the equipment for the lowball price. I decided to just keep the equipment at that point rather then give it to these crooks.
Only supporting local music stores from now on.

Knowledgeable staff and a well stocked rental department. This location is easy to get to (as it is near the 401) and always has the supplies I need to get the job done right.
I went to this location because they had an item in stock that my regular shopping location did not have in stock. Although it was quite busy I was able to get service from Sean. He was helpful and a pleasure to deal with and what I expect from L&M for this type of purchase.
Absolutely amazing location. I'm sure the rest are the same. But the staff here are quite outstanding! I've called in quite a few times with questions about my instrument and each time I was helped, consistently, extremely well and was left with no questions unanswered. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Great store, my only suggestion is to have a slightly larger electric guitar section. More squires and other brands with more price differences.

This is the store to come to for your musical needs. It looks like they have every instrument here that you are ever going to play. And if they don't, I'll bet they can get it for you. I'm in the market for a steel guitar and I will be dealing with them in the future. I had a memorable first visit to inquire about my needs and the service was great. I'll be back.
