I had shopped at this location for years. Always very helpful, even though I usually only purchased strings and picks.
Friday August-25-2020, I stopped by during the last hour before closing. This time, I was shopping around for an Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro and a Boss Katana 50 MK2 amp. The guitar was off and on, discontinued so I wasn't expecting too much similar. The amp they were sold out on but they had just received one that day.
As it turns out, they had a beautiful 2020 model guitar and it was on sale. I had been looking around for a long time and was ready to buy, but I hate impulse buying -- I wanted to think about it. I had absolutely no pressure from the staff and they were very helpful too when I needed it. I needed a few days to think about it. They offered to put this on hold for me, which I readily accepted, for both the guitar and amp. Again, no pressure on a Friday afternoon before closing.
You could not ask for a better environment to purchase music equipment from. Looks like I will be purchasing both guitar and amp.

Love the store, been shopping mostly there, from, like, mid 90s which is when I came to the country... A regular at the Bloor/Ossington store, some times I like and will pop by at other locations, too; always great stuff and staff. Got most of my favorite instruments from L-McQ my Korg N1, my Strat and Tele, my 5-string bubinga Warwick...
Was away from the country 7 years, now back and glad to have this fine franchise within reach! <3

Place is bigger than it looks from the outside. James is very patient and helpful. Mike gave me a very fair price on an audio interface trade-in. They price match Studio Economik so make sure to check prices there first.

Walked into today to pick up my first Gibson Les Paul. My experience here couldn't have been better. Everyone here is super friendly and super knowledgeable. I was happy leaving the store with my new guitar and knowing I got it from this place, made my experience unforgettable. You don't get a guitar like this everyday. Thanks to everyone at the Scarborough location.

Experienced discrimination in this store...I was asked many unnecessary questions when I was trying to finance it..I was told at first that I could put down $130 on the instrument and pay $60 a month but then told afterwards that I would half to pay half because I want to finance it as a gift. I've never had an account with them and I filled out the form and every reference that I put, he looked up in the system and they didn't have accounts. Then he told me he preferred their house numbers instead although many people are more likely to use their cell phone numbers. Then I went to another store(Whitby) and apparently he had called them and the lady said, I quote " I'm backing the Scarborough store, we see this all the time, girls doing this for boys and then something goes wrong and it doesn't get paid"...that's just wrong, making judgments based on age and sex. If I had been a male financing for a female, I guess I would have been treated differently. She does not know me or anything and is assuming that I am not going to pay for the instrument so therefore they give me a hard time? Terrible customer service experience.

Rented some speakers and lights for an event. They helped us select the best items and our event turned out great. Their return procedure was a great along with rental price. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful, maybe had one hiccup trying to figure out their motion light system, but other than that it was good!

Great store but not a large selection of high end guitars but plenty to choose from in lower end. But thats this location. Im sure they can get anything you want.

Rented speakers here for my birthday and have bought many instruments here before. Amazing costumer service and a great store to find amazing quality instruments and people with actual knowledge on them.

It's my go to Long & McQuade cause it's the closest. However, barring that...the staff is friendly and good options for guitars and drums. They can order in if it isn't in stock/store.

Huge collection of musical instruments, you name it they'll have it or arrange it. Also great for good quality rental equipments at a cheaper price compared to competitors.

All under one roof. People are quite helpful and friendly. They leave u on ur own to try out and play and take ur own time to decide.

They can get pretty busy on a saturday, but despite the wait time staff were friendly, helpful, and knew the answer to my recording issues -which was mosy important!

Great experience buying a guitar! Staff are very knowledgeable on all the products and gave very helpful tips on guitar maintenance. They put a new set of strings on the guitar before I left with it. Very satisfied!

Twice I've been in this location and found the experience in this location terrible. The associates are not helpful, rude and underhanded.
They profile customers and sell old equipment too those who don't know better, also mark up used equipment for the same price as new equipment.

The location is a decent size with friendly, knowledgeable staff and the selection of products is good

This place has everything that every music lover wants they have all the instruments staff are very friendly and they offer lessons as well. I would highly recommend this where they are beginning or an expert whether you want to buy or rent this is a place to go.

Classic musicstore with departments fro guitars and drums, amps galore and parts.

Rented 2 mics, 2 mic stands, keyboard, sound board, 2 speakers, 2 speaker stands all for 50 dollars. When returning I found the process very simple. will be renting again from here.
