First time here. Did not know it was actually in 2 different buildings. Guitars in one, everything else in the other. Very clean. Helpful staff.

It was amazing you cant go wrong cause michaja was in the building
Comprehensive inventory in most caregories of musical instruments combined with ample, friendly and knowledgeable staff, makes this an interesting place to do business.
Wonderful store with helpful staff and a great selection
We frequent the PA rental department. Ask for Keela. She is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She personally helped sort out a recent big order that I had for gear that we needed for a Teenage Head show.
Great service for renting musical instruments. Cheaper rate than Remenyi House of Music.
They are amazing! For the first show a middle school and I did, we rented gear from Metalworks for 600 dollars, and their gear was horrible. For another school's production, we rented from Long & McQuade, and their equipment was so much better, and was a cheaper price to rent, as well. Plus, when we asked them for windscreens for the mics that didn't come with them, they handed them over without a problem. Also, when one of the headsets they rented to us was faulty, we took it to them, and they replaced it without a single question. If you need to rent PA equipment, rent it from these guys. They are the way to go, and you will not regret it!
Nice shop with instruments. Sadly, system complained about my credit cards way too much.
There is no better way to get your hands on any piece of gear (to use it for a project or whatever) without actually buying it.
The acoustic room service was excellent. Electric guitar section downstairs was terrible. Stood around for 20 min and not one person asked me if I needed assistance. Definately won't be going back to those guys anytime soon.
Usually have a pretty good experience dealing with PA rentals at this location.
One of my favourite places in Toronto. Staff is nice, gear is awesome and a wide selection.
Have had pretty good experiences with renting equipment here, both musical and film-production sound - which I didn't know they did.
Competitive prices and quick service.
Great music store. This location in particular, has a huge variety of instruments and the staff is knowledgeable and kind.
Best music store in the city. Friendly staff, quick service, highest quality gear available.
I have been DJing for the past 15 years, and like so many it all started with friends in basements and in the bedroom practicing. About 9 or 10 years ago, I needed equipment that my neighbourhood Radio Shack and local garage sales and Hawk Shops - simply couldn't provide. I asked around, and I made my way to Long and McQuade. I've had a wonderful experience with them, the staff is always helpful and professional. Any questions I have ever asked, got answered immediately or at worst I was promised a "call back" and I always received them. With the exception of a few minor hiccups in communications and customer service, I have had nothing but a POSITIVE experience with the entire Long and McQuade team! Their goods are great! The Support, Excellent! and the Service - simply beyond compare (Sorry StevEn's and CosmOpolitan, ya'll don't compare). Special Shout out to Joe and Mr. Falk in the Bloor St. Service Centre..... PHENOMENAL work boys!!
Thank you,
Regards,
Ryan aka DjDemeanor
Lovely staff. They were very understanding and offer a wide range of instruments. You can try as much as you can before you rent. Their rent pricing is very reasonable. 5 starts for sure!
Have bought many percussion items here. Friendly staff. Help me track down a rare digital pod for my guitar. The store itself has an odd layout but they cram a lot in there. Also, the acoustic guitar room is amazing.
Huge selection for just about any musical instruments or related equipment. One of the top spots in the Toronto area.
Helpful staff, lots of synths and bargains to be had.
All things music. Lots of rental options for equipment. Large facility. Lots of staff on hand to help.
Good selection of goods. Instruments ranging from guitars to music production tools. Rentals available too.
Great music store with everything you could possibly need.
Super place, friendly people. I have rented instruments there and was absolutely satisfied. Highly recommend.
Excellent service, and lots of variety and stock of instruments
Awesome place with awesome salespeople! I've been buying my gears here and other LM.. they are all excellent stores
Always great service. Fantastic range, and the rental service is so so good!
One of the better locations for sure. I often come out of my way to visit this location if I'm looking for gear. Great staff, good stock, great selection of different types of guitar gear. 5 stars.
Always great service and knowledgeable staff, even when you're just buying a new set of strings. They shipped a guitar to Toronto from the Maritimes for me without a promise to purchase, because I play left-handed and it was the only one of that model they had in the country. Just so I could get my hands on it and figure out if I wanted to spend my money on it. They are the go-to store for musicians' musicians in Toronto.
Variety Variety Variety!!! And if by some slim chance they dont have what you're looking for, the order process takes no time at all. But whats most impressive is their In House Financing.
Rented a beginner violin here and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
Best place I know of in the city to go for instrument rentals. I also needed to replace my 5 year old's violin bow and they had the best price.
Helpful employees, and a large selection. Confusing to navigate.
Greatpeople, great products, will price anywhere in Canada
Awesome service and knowledgeable staff. I've been a regular there for years and have been served spectacularly well on countless occasions. For example, Jeremy helped me find a Warwick Thumb used for under $1,100 and a mint used 2011 Gibson 61' reissue for $999.95. Both of these had to be moved from different stores, which I would never have known about should he not have been looking out for me. The staff is friendly and act as though they're a big family; they're inviting and welcoming and always make it a pleasure to check in for a "regular" visit just to see what else might have come in since the last time. Often, a used item will be price the same or cheaper than if purchased on the street.
Everything you need there is in that shop and at a reasonable price with excellent customer service
I went in searching information on a luthier to repair my antique cello. They were incredibly helpful, informing me of the services they offer as well as a couple of string based stores that might be able to help. While I did not have the work done here, their help was invaluable. I also bought my first two cellos here thirty or so years ago.
L&M used to be an excellent music retailer. However their online sales and service is poor. The items show in stock at the warehouse but in fact they don't update it on a regular basis. If you are in a rush to obtain gear look elsewhere.
Great services love this place staff are friendly and helpful.
Amazing music store. The staff are all friendly and helpful. They have pretty much anything music related you could ever want, from classical piano books, to large powered concert speakers.
Massive store where you can find any kind of musical instruments, knowledgeable staff, offers rentals on instruments, speakers, amps
Friendly service tons to choose from an amazing place
Easy to buy any kind of music instruments and also you can get discounts.
love the staff at the guitar shop on bloore west
now this place is special somehow they managed to round up all the eighties rock rejects and put them in the same place .
Great service, staff was awesome to work with in all departments
The staff are much nicer and less annoying than that *other* music store.
Lots of stock, helpful staff, and right on the subway line.
Great place to browse for all your musical needs. Exceptional selection to look through.
The staff in the print department are always very helpful and the selection is the best by far compared to any other Long and McQuade I've been to. Bonus is the free parking lot.
I came too find a mouthpiece patch, found the fit right away. Best place for professional music things ever.
Rentals for any occasion at prices that do not break you. Friendly and knowledgeable staff!
The best place for musicians. Terrific stock. Fantastic staff. Very musician friendly. We are lucky to have L&M
Awesome staff! Went to get guitar strings and saw the bare naked ladies!
Best music shop in TO.
And the rental service is amazing. You have so much stuff for cheap, you saved so many of my concerts!!
Quick and friendly service, employees are well knowledged in most of the equipment. Would definitely recommend this place and location to anyone.
Bought a guitar there. Guitar is good.
I called them 2 times. Each time I had to explain my questions 3 times for an answer.
Friendly staff. They let us try out a bunch of instruments and played with us a bit, cool vibe.
Great experience with this store. I was looking for a digital Piano and after trying few stores, I decided to go to Long and McQuage on Bloor as I know it was good. I met Marc Macenzie and who after telling him what are my goal and needs, he directed to the right instrument (Yamaha P 515) which is great and with it I took a stand and stool. Very happy with the purchase and will deal with them again for sure. The box was too bid and they do offer free delivery.
They have always been my favourite store.. incredible staff, many many options and super safe with all the covid 19 precautions
The customer service was on point! Very fast and hassle free. I needed to rent a whole bunch of equipment for a comedy show. They made the process a breaze!
Amazing store. Very courteous and helpful staff, particularly Rene from guitars. Helped me pick out what I was looking for patiently and informed me of differences between products. Quickly helped me order in what I needed as it wasn't in stock and kept me informed of the progress over the next couple weeks. A++
Canadians are so nice. I rented a guitar here and the service was over-the-top excellent. Would gladly shop here again.
I have dealt with Long & McQuade (Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, North York and Oshawa locations) since the Summer of 1977, when I bought my first LesPaul, at the original Bloor & Spadina location. I toured professionally during the 1980's and played semi-professionally during the 1990's and 2000's. That being said, I have never in my life dealt with a more understanding company that exhibits true empathy towards their customers. I will not go into details, however I believe that if every company in Canada conducted their business as Long & McQuade does, the people of Canada would be in an even better place. Without their assistance, guidance and understanding, throughout these past 36 years, I would not be where I am musically today.Thank you everyone at Long & McQuade for allowing me the pleasure of doing business with you for all these years. Happy Holidays to all of you. :) <3
Philip and Megan
Good selection and helpful stuff. Bought our first studio setup from them. They have good deals on used equipment. And on their store "used" does not mean bad. It's almost like brand new!
If you have a need for anything to do with making music these guys will have it or they will order it. I have been a steady customer for 40 years.
