place is a bit weird with so many buildings for one business. they don't have all the wires you'd need and it takes going from building to building to figure that out..

Otherwise I don't think you can find this kind of variety anywhere else in the GTA this place is MASSIVE.

Fantastic service, educated staff that are patient and caring. This is where being a true musician at heart is the foundation of your business and you hire like minded individuals. Well done : )

Got my Audio Technica USB Condenser mic from here. Helpful friendly staff that do NOT try and upsell you and it was the cheapest listing for the product which was assuring to know I got what I wanted at the lowest possible price. Thanks!

What a store. As someone who played guitar as a young boy it was pretty cool to walk in and see so many instruments. I think they have anything you'du need as a musician. From turntables to clarinettes

I go for the piano sheet music, and piano books - and I always get very helpful service and friendly demeanor from the staff, whether I am looking for a particular music book for one of my piano students or just browsing myself. There is a very good selection music for all skill levels and and a lot of variety such as classical, jazz, popular, ragtime. So I really enjoy the store.

Great spot for your musical needs! They rent sound equipment like speakers, microphones, DJ gear and many more options for a really great price.
I was in the states looking for a shop like long and McQuade to rent some equipment for a mobile event and the rental stores out there was quoting me 2000+ dollars deposit for the rental equipment , it made me think of Long & McQuade and how they'll make sure your needs are fair, affordable and reliable.
I've bought most of my DJ gear, speakers and keyboards from Long & McQuade, I'd suggest this spot to anyone who's looking for some equipment.

I visited this store to buy a beginner's flute for my child's school band.
Since I didn't have any knowledge about flutes, I was a bit nervous.
But, thanks to a welcoming, super-kind, and knowledgeable staff who is Matthew Golem, my child could get a perfect flute for her. Thank you, Matthew!

Well to say the least these guys are pro's! I walked in with Native American Spirit Flutes looking for a live preformance mic set up. These guys went out of their way to help me out, showed me a bunch of different mics & set me up to test them out the way I needed to. The kicker was when they went out of their way to a bike shop, up the road to get some free materials in order to jerry rig a mic holder on all my flutes (I would put their names but I don't want them to get in trouble for not selling me the most expensive thing instead of the thing that actually works). These guys are the bomb! I would recommend them to anyone any day!! Total 100% commitment to customer service and satisfaction.

Not commissioned based. Great staff. Large network and supply chain. Good pricing vs online. Leagues beyond that other volume music store I shall not name... that is down on queen.. starts with an 's'. While great staff there.. the policy is push gear and get commissions.. bad policy Steve's. You have some great staff.. stop forcing them to grovel for commissions. Ooops

I've always dealt with L & M, for more than twenty five years, here and in Vancouver. I started out renting acoustic guitars and graduated to electric and ended up buying a Les Paul Custom after a few years. What I really like is that if you are interested in an instrument that you don't play, you can easily rent one and an amplifier, everything you need, to see if you like it. I've bought several instruments that started out as rentals and ended up purchasing them. They have great monthly payment plans and sometimes you can rent a new instrument. It's the go to store for all musical things.

This place is great, the staff is knowledgeable and very helpful, they have a great selection of instruments on display and more stored in the back. I would highly recomend this place to anyone who is experienced or to those who want to learn a new instrument.

This location is centrally located and the amount of product and expertise is fantastic. The needs we have are pretty low key but well addressed. We rented a speaker mic set once and it was really reasonable priced and easy to rent. Can't speak for the instruments since I didn't buy any and wasn't looking. The selection of scores is really good too.

Actively ignored by staff. Pricey to the point that some of their used equipment is somehow more expensive than brand new equipment elsewhere. In terms of going in for guitar set-ups, both times the actual price was more than double the price quoted at the desk - had I known that could be the case, I would never had left my guitars with them.

The last straw was when their pro-audio desk charge me more than the cost of a full guitar set-up elsewhere to replace the string in my volume pedal (after quoting that it would cost significantly less of course).

Overall, each time I give this place a chance they end up making me regret it.

Ordered a Baseball Cap online. Was informed the size requested was no longer available. They did everything possible to accommodate something completely out of their control. I ended up with a credit, a refund was offered, and ordered and purchased a Guitar Pedal the day it was released. Excellent customer service and a fine selection of instruments.

I came in with lots of questions about a clarinet I was left to look after by a family member who moved overseas, and I was helped tremendously by Dwight Broderick! He gave me a crash course on mouthpieces and reeds, dispelled some laughably incorrect assumptions I had, and answered my questions patiently. All the while cleaning out the mouthpiece I had brought in AND replacing the rubber protector on it for free. I wish there was a way for me to tip him! Awesome service!

As a man in my late 40 s with a family, I ve finally decided it was time to get me a little gift. The Fender American Elite Stratocaster in aged cherry w/maple fret board. My first brand NEW electric guitar. I went on a bit of a mission to find this guitar, and having spoken to another guitar shop, whom didn t really seem to care if I bought the guitar or not. I finally called Long & Mcqaude on bloor st. The person that answered my call sounded cheerful and happy to help. Her name was Robyn. They didn t have my guitar in stock, but that didn t stop Her. She helped me locate one from one of their other stores and put me in touch with a gentleman named Austin in Oshawa. He too was a great help. We finally found my dream guitar and Robyn took care of having it delivered to their shop on bloor. Basically what I m saying is, guitar shops are guitar shops BUT, personality and attitude go a long way. Robyn did everything she could to help me find my guitar and with a great attitude. Customer care!!! This is why you should shop at Long & Mcqaude on bloor. Thanks very much for caring Robyn!!
