Awesome guitar repairs! Great staff in the shop and quick turn-around. I had to bring in my recent kijiji Gibson SG Standard purchase after over-looking some really bad fret issues I hadn't caught on first sight. Brought it in to their Bloor st shop and they assured me it was an easy fix and that the guitar was in great shape overall. They gave me a two-week turn around time for a complete fret dressing and set-up but they called me less than a week later to say it was completed. Fantastic workmanship and most importantly the guitar feels like it plays brand new. Very reasonably priced repair and upfront about the time and cost involved. Highly recommended! Thanks again guys! Job well done.

I like the store, it's got a cool lay out and it has a really good selection of gear. The only thing is is that whenever I go, as a teenager (and my friends have experienced it to), I get followed around like I'm bound to steal something. The associates are nice-ish but they aren't the most knowledgable when it comes to guitars. I tried getting a job there but I'm "too young." If the owner reads this I'd like to encourage them to recruit some new, young, hungry associates like myself.

Top of the line service with each visit exceeding the last. both times I have dealt with the drums department manager, Zach H., and he provides amazing customer service every time, even remembering my buddy and I on our occasional visits for renting drum gear.

Best base prices compared to the other Toronto music stories. Tony was especially knowledgeable, friendly and gave us a lot of space to consider and compare but was always available to answer our many questions and share his expertise.

I have been buying instruments, dpro audio and studio gear from L&M for over 2 decades. From Jack Long to Jeff Long and now to whoever is working the Bloor West Store, everyone has been friendly and knowledgeable

I have shopped at Steve s and Cosmo, but L&M is my preferred go-to store. They have several convenient locations and the GTA locations are all very good.

When I was north of the city, Markham was my nearest store, and the selection and staff were excellent. But the Bloor West Store has, and continues to be, my favourite L&M location.

Pricing is good and the staff are honest and trustworthy.

The folk in the band department are A++! I was looking to buy a new flute, and I spent a total of ~5 hrs play testing instruments (over 2 Fridays) before finally getting the one I wanted. As a flute pkayer and salesperson, Kristy was excellent, patient, full of suggestions, and helped me find "the one".

There's also a wide selection and variety of instruments. You won't be disappointed.

I've been a long-time customer of this branch of L&M ... Whether you're a seasoned, working pro or an absolute beginner, the friendly, highly-qualified, active industry professionals who staff the sales floor are happy to explain their products and services to you.
Unlike "other" music stores, L&M does not make you feel like a nuisance to the staff. I will continue to see L&M as the obvious, no-brainer, go-to place for all my instruments, performance, and recording-related requirements.
It really is "where the music begins."

Thank you Long and McQuade!

The experience was great, thanks to Rebekah. Gave me suggestions based on what I was looking for. Really went the extra mile by confirming on the arrival date of a guitar I had a slight interest in. Best part was her super honest suggestions, really appreciated that. Will be back again for sure.

One of the better Long and McQuade stores out there, especially if you're into electric string instruments and basses. This is still the only store that I've ever seen a Yamaha Silent Bass and anything high end from NS Designs on hand. Pretty excellent print music department as well.

Phenomenal customer service. Graham in the guitar department in particular. He is infinitely patient and even though I was completely in the wrong he STILL went out of his way to make sure the situation ended with my complete satisfaction. Would rate six stars if I could.

I purchased a Roc-n-soc throne, which unfortunately had some manufacturing defects, but Matt at the drum desk easily worked the returns, and provided me with options to get another throne. My tour schedule caused problems for this, so Josh from head-office worked tirelessly to get me the throne, quite literally saving my back during a week of intense tech. They did all this while dealing with nasty shipping and backorder problems with AHEAD. In addition, Josh and Jesse from the Sudbury store (where I had a tour stop off), worked on his end to confirm the priority shipping, that way I could at least get some sort of drum throne while performing. All together this provided some of the best customer service in the wake of some serious delays from the manufacturer. 5 stars all the way for that kinda of appreciation to their customers.

The same excellent products and service you expect from Long & McQuade, but the store layout (split on either side of a convenience store) is admittedly a bit frustrating. Thankfully, they've implemented a map right inside the door to assist you in finding your way to the appropriate east/west location.

I use this company several times a year for various events from large public gatherings to birthday parties to fundraisers. They always have the items that are required for my event and I have not had any defective equipment rented from them. The speakers and stands go together well. The wireless mics work and I have used at least 2 of them at several event venues without them cutting out or the frequencies crossing. The mixer works and can be used with xlr and rca and 1/4" inputs. The rental prices are very reasonable.

I visited in hopes of finding the equipment needed for my voice over hobby. The staff were really knowledgable with what they had, as well as what I had brought in to match. Really friendly, too! I didn't wait long for service, and was out with everything I needed quicker than I thought!

Amazing selection of new and used products, all of impeccable qual uity. Long & McQuade has everything you might ever need, from low, mid, and high-end products, which allows you to not break the bank. When buying audio equipment, it's important to speak to people who use it themselves everyday. The staff here are knowledgeable about the products, and use them for their own gigs or personal use. They also have competitive pricing, and great financing options. You can also rent equipment if you don't necessarily need to own a whole setup. There's more I could say, but it would fall under the umbrella of "Long & McQuade is fantastic," so I'll leave it at that!

A classic that's been around forever. It's my first choice for big-ticket items, and their selection of instruments beats all others. They have considerably less items in stock than they used to - most things have to be ordered even if they're on display, and their Eurorack selection is rather modest compared to e.g. MoogAudio (which is a shame, really) - but that is what retail is struggling with everywhere in the age of online shopping. Staff is courteous, non-judgmental, and helpful; prices are better than anywhere else I checked. Highly recommended (although they're not too eager to return calls when you leave a message with someone... Tsk..tsk..tsk..)

We rented a guitar for my son at $9/month, which was a phenomenal deal. Then we wanted to purchase the guitar after a while, which they allowed 60% of the rental fees to be applied to the purchase. Incredible. We were very happy.

Musicians everywhere know to go to L+M for whatever your music needs or questions may be. I've never come out of this place without everything I went in looking for. The rental options and system are stress free, easy and versatile. The staff is always highly informed and passionate. Can't go wrong.

Went to this store and another Long and McQuade store on Steeles. Both stores have staff who ignore you when you enter the store. Not great customer service and even when I did buy something, the staff who helped me at the register seemed uninterested.

As big as 3 music stores. It's actually 3 separate locations that aren't connected but the same building. Great customer service with no pressure sales. These people are passionate about music and really feel like a friend who wants to teach you about the instruments and give you guidance rather than a sale.

Had questions about digital audio software and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Also the item I bought was 20$ cheaper (before shipping) than the cheapest online offer. Great place to shop.
