I ordered a bass guitar on their site and it said shipping would be 15 days... I ordered it mid November hoping to get it for Christmas as it was supposed to be a gift... I didn't get it until mid January...2 months after. Every time I called they would tell me "I checked and it should be in next week"...

For all things music this is one of the best places to go... Informative staff, great selection and reasonable prices/rates.

I bought my American deluxe telecaster from this location and got a sweet deal on it! However I found that the sales people weren't so knowledge when I had some questions (compared to their other locations).

Went to buy a Gibson bass that was said to be in stock, after driving 2 hours I was told sorry that it was taken for an attic sale that was at the same address for the end of the month. I was there to buy this bass and they did not want to be bothered selling it to me. Very poor customer service. Not that they care but I'll never step foot in another L&M again.

Tyr helped me so well. he really knows about live streaming. i needed a refund and he helped me with that too. I reccomnd long and mcquade over other main stream music shops in tha 6.

Great selections ! Just don't appreciate the physical set up of the store; having to go to a different store for each instrument was tedious as I was setting up for a full band. Some staff offer to help carry items out, others don't. Love the brand and location otherwise

The customer service as always is increadibe at Long & McQuade. I was demoing various studio monitors and spent close to an hour with the sales professional. A lot of great info was provided and I was given my space to listen to them without being rushed. Thank you

Too much plastic and packaging. The largest music store in the country needs to advocate and help musicians change the culture of consumption. It's an urgent issue

This is my favorite store in Toronto. They have the biggest selection of instruments to choose from and a very helpful staff.

My experience at Long and McQuade was stellar from beginning to end. My salesman, Stuart, was patient and informative as I navigated my many options. Ultimately, he recommended that I rent my top choice for a month to make sure I looked it and then helped me with the final sale. Great first experience there.

The staff here are what make the store great. I've dealt with staff from multiple departments, and everyone I've encountered has been friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about their area of expertise. There are often great deals here throughout the year, on low end items and professional quality items as well. This location often has a good amount of used items for sale at decent prices. That's worth looking into for those on a strict budget.

Never seen staff less interested in customers. After actually flagging down someone and made it clear we were about to spend a decent chunk of change, the service picked up. Awesome for looking without being pestered. Multiple store format was confusing for first time visitors.

I went in to pick up a little korg device I bought online, not knowing I was in the wrong section of the store for electronic instrument pick ups. I saw a desk at the back with a big sign saying "PICK UPS" so naturally I went there. When it was my turn in line I told the person at the desk (who was already eyeing me with suspicion for some reason) "Hi, I'm here for a pick up" and she angrily responded "... You're looking to PICK UP?!" like I had said something really offensive and unheard of. After giving them more details and being met with skeptical silence and blank stares her coworker figured out that I actually had to go to their keyboards section a couple doors down. As I walked away I could hear the woman I spoke to laughing about me with her coworker. You work at a desk which says Pick Ups in big red letters right above your head. Are you really going to be that shocked and unprepared for someone to tell you they are there to pick up an order? Even if they are in the wrong section? Is it really that crazy of a situation for you? You must deal with many different customers every day, right? Am I the first person to utter words like "I'm here for a pick up" at the "Rentals & Pick Ups" desk? Is it not likely to you that I was there to pick up my musical instrument from the musical instrument store?

Love this place. It's like being a kid in a candy store. I love the fact for a few bucks a month you can rent just about any instrument or music equipment you can possibly think of, try it out for as long as you want. They also give you credit towards purchasing the item if you've rented it for a while. Best Music Store in Toronto.

The staff here are really good and attentive. They have a pretty well stocked selection of guitars, keyboards, and recording equipment (the departments I frequent).

This place is very dangerous. I suggest you not take your wallet with you, or you might end up having to explain to your wife the fine differences between different telecasters and why they all are coming home with you.

The guitar building is down from the first one which is different... But it makes up for it good quality service.

I've been to Long and McQuade many a times for many different things, from renting equipment to buying instruments. Everyone there is super professional who is helpful and looking to make sure you get what's right for you! Maybe more expensive than other stores or buying online but always willing to spend a little extra here for the knowledge and help from the staff

Had a great experience at the Bloor location. The staff is knowledgeable and will help you understand everything you need to know to pick up your first electric. guitar (that s what I went to buy) killer collection on amps and guitars. Almost all the staff members are friendly but special shout out to DAVE who helped me a lot with my questions.

I went to this store for a Harp. It was full of dust when I got it home. The staff are not friendly at this location compared to the rest of the stores and I was lied to and was told I had to put 10% of the price of an instrument down for it to be transferred to another location which was more convenient to me.

I picked up a Moana score book. It was a little over priced at $18 for like 5 songs but their services were great and answered all my questions. Atmosphere was fun and relaxed to no to high-strung

I've ben coming here for over 30 years. I've bought a LOT of gear here. I find the service helpful and non-judgmental, which I think is nice to find in an industry where you can come across some snobs sometimes. Good for rentals too, they have a reasonable buy-back program. Will continue to shop here

I love their monster days in June. Their people actually help find what you want and order it if they can't find it.
