Great music store. It's like a collection of stores for every interest - guitars, drums, keys, strings and band. And a good sheet music and instructional books too.

They know their business. Efficient and super qualified crew.

Service was perfect, as a beginner i have no idea about instruments but Dave explained perfectly and helped me out to find right guitar, better value to start with.

Have just purchased a guitar from the Bloor St store and have to say - absolutely excellent customer service - extremely knowledgeable, no question too stupid as I'm an absolute beginner and nothing too much trouble. Tim (assistant) went out of his way to find items that didn't initially appear to be in stock, was very patient and overall the service was 1st class. Highly recommended.

You don't have much choice but Long and McQuade if you're looking for high-end equipment. The selection is great at the Bloor location.

Good place for all your music needs. Huge selection of musical instruments. Friendly staff. Very prompt service. We ordered violin microphone mounts, which had to be backordered and they arrived at the store even before promised date of delivery. The salesperson even suggested the range of different microphone options! Very helpful salespeople!

We've all been to a few L&Ms before. This one is premiere. Staff is exceptional. That's about the most important thing for me.

Don't bother bring in your stuff to trade in as they will low ball you.

Deep inventory but deals are rare. They probably have what you need but you'll pay full price for it.

Prices for P.A.systems are really reasonable...$55 for a mis with stand and two 10" speakers on adjustable stands.

I used to think smaller music stores would be better, but this Canadian chain is WAY better than any small locally owned store you go to. No one turns their nose up at you, everyone is friendly and helpful. Everything you need is there, the prices are good, and its easy to get financing.

Got everything you need for a good musical experience. Rental department can derp out sometimes, but you get what you pay for.

Came in the day before my wedding to rent a projector for the reception. Great price and very helpful staff.

Unless you know your stuff, don't call or even visit this place. They will laugh at you if you make an error. These people are immature and don't respect their customers. Worst experience I've gone through in all my life!

A Toronto institution and a go to music store for amateurs to professionals. Great selection of musical instruments and recording equipment at all price ranges. They also sell lighting equipment for concerts. For local start up bands they have been the place to rent equipment for concerts that these groups could otherwise not afford to buy. Also, they have a great purchase plan with reasonable payments for those who may not have all the money to buy a quality instrument but don't want to wait until they save enough. The store is split into categories. Guitars, pianos, brass and wood wind, percussion and so on. The staff is very knowledgeable with almost all being musicians themselves. Limited free parking is a bonus on this busy main Toronto street. They use to be in a more central location which I found easier to get to. Worth a look even if your not buying.

The staff were welcoming and very helpful. My daughter was super excited to get her first band instrument and they made the occasion feel important and special.

I've always loved going to this guitar shop most of the time just browsing looking for deals. Staffs are always friendly and helpful. No pressure to buy. I also like the L&M website and it is easy to browse.
