Me, my wife and our nine year old son stayed in a feather free room. Service was friendly, room was spacious and beds were super comfy. We really liked the swimming pool, which gave us a good start for a day in museums. There were some technical issues with elevators, and some corridors smelled like a used car. I also couldn't get the ice cube machine to work. All in all, the hotel was of good value and we really enjoyed our stay. .

Someone from the Marriott fine family of hotels took issue with my previous review. Therefore I ve decided to update it so they will not object.

Upon checkin I was immediately taken into a small room next to the pool and interrogated by thugs from the Church of the Militant Elvis Party. After several hours I was forced to sign a confession that my cat Lucifer is indeed the antichrist and swore off garbanzo beans for the next fiscal year.

Our rooms were in the north tower. Bats hung from the ceiling, sulphuric acid poured from the taps, and there were ritualistic goat sacrifices in the hallway at 2 AM. Better than some of the other reviews that I ve seen but it still lacked a certain je ne sais quoi that you d come to expect from a property in the Regents Park area.

Our rooms were burgled regularly. There were 16 kinds of hummus offered in the lounge but no pita was available. It as pitiful. A lawn darts tournament in the lobby kept us on our toes while we avoided the Hare Krishna selling encyclopedias by the front entrance.

All in all, a delightful experience made even more pleasurable by the front desk staff.

This is a great 4-star hotel if you want to be in ...

This is a great 4-star hotel if you want to be in the central London area, its a little tucked away from the main shopping sites so you'll have to get a taxi, but the park offers a great attraction. Rooms are on the small side but if your a Platinum SPG member, its the upgrade that you need to make the difference. One thing I found lacking was the Platinum welcome upon arrival, the lady checking us in late at night did not acknowledge I was carrying a sleeping 5-year-old,(I'd just landed from a 14-hour journey and was shattered) there were none of the usual offers of refreshments we are used to internationally - so for Platinum guests they need to look at that. The room amenities were not really fantastic as the chocolate box was very poor quality - a good juice option was given if you don't want the wine. Because of the Carluccios serving the dining needs of guests, there is a lovely Italian vibe to the place. The lounge is on the small side and children are still not allowed inside. The coffee and drinks options there are very good though, with very attentive staff and varied seating to meet your needs. There is no facility for kids still onsite which is the downside but having said that the restaurant is very family friendly with a kids menu and lovely staff that take an interest in the little ones. They are in charge of room service and their kid's menu is fantastic value and quality with three courses including drink for under 8 UK pounds! Its cheaper than dining out! Plus when there was an option out of stock they substituted with an adult portion, how generous! There was an issue with the public area toilets that needed to maintain more, and I witnessed one of the female health and fitness staff being verbally aggressive with a user of the disabled toilets (she thought that the person did not have the right to use it when they did), but after I accounted her she did apologise unreservedly. I personally had no problems with the room maintenance and the cleaning staff were very polite and friendly and the porter was a superstar. I've said it before and I'll say it again, its the fabulous staff at Carluccios that really make the hotel a home away from home (Thanks Gabriella and Costi!!) and that is enough for me to keep me wanting to come back.

Good hotel however I do not find that it deserves its 4 stars
The restaurant is really very average I find it a pity that in a 4 star hotel there is not a good restaurant
The breakfast is plentiful and the staff are friendly
The family room is not bad but the bed is a bit small due to the fact that there are 2 double beds

Fantastic service, cosy and private hotel. Location is excellent too as it is close to the city centre and tube station, but at the same time not right smack in the centre where all the hustle and bustle are.

Good location not far from a tube station and regents park. Rooms are nice compared to other hotels in London at a similar rate. Staff are friendly and the newly renovated lobby and restaurant is very good. There were a few hiccups, but I was visiting the week they reopened after the renovations. All in all, one of my favourite places to stay in the capital when I'm there on business.

While the exterior may look at little shabby, the interior is like any other Marriott and service is first class. The location is fantastic; a lovely leafy part of London with a local feel. The local library is beautiful, but then again, I have a love for architecture.

3 night stay with our 2 children.
Excellent location for this aging looking, but recently renovated hotel. Impeccable rooms, top service and teams, heated swimming pool with hammam / sauna.
The downside: the breakfast that is not worthy of a Marriott. It is sold that way, but it is managed by an external provider. The quality is very average as well as the service.
Despite everything, we will happily return to this establishment if we pass in the area.

Really really bad. very unfriendly and dishonest staff. Before I arrived I called the hotel twice to request for an early check in. I was told "we will have a room for you by then". But when I checked in, they said nothing's available. If I had no meeting over there, I would have left immidiately.

This hotel is a rathole. The disgusting smell from the lobby all the way to your room make you feel like a homeless. None of the staff cares about you. You want to get any service from there? Dream on!

Very nice hotel. Good food but expensive. Strange no coke or cider on tap - had to buy bottles which made it even more expensive!! Too many foreign staff with poor English. Outrageous that they didn't know guide dogs can go anywhere - including into restaurants - it's the LAW. all OK once they had been educated. Other establishments please take note!

Room smelt awful. A member of the clearning staff came to check it promptly and agreed it was bad, explaining it was due to damp (not stale smoke as we'd initiially thought). They were unable to move us and so we had to stay put with french door open all night as the air con made not difference.

In the bar we watched mice creeping out from under the settee to eat nuts that had fallen onto the floor. We told the bar staff who gave a knowing smile and said they'd report it.

Disappointing stay and not impressed by the staff's reactivity or attitude to put things right.

I have started here allot, I really like the refurbish great job. Still a little run down but they have really made marked improvements. I like they don't have desk in the room but they did have s business center. One major and very major for me and anyone who works in the road they have no place to work. They have a tiny little bar thing right on the middle of the reception, also there noisiest place in the hotel. Sorry but that is not acceptable of this class.

it is the worst hotel in the world, people do not help you at all, nobody sees you, it is the worst choice to come here and besides that boy from the door Mihai does nothing but laugh without having a reason, I think honestly bad you don't even deserve a star but I don't have to!

I have been staying at this hotel now for over 6 years on business and I love it. It is close to the tube at Swiss Cottage and the general location is nice.
The hotel is currently under refurbishment and the foyer and business areas are complete. The rooms are being refurbished at the moment and to be fair they were a little dated, although always clean and tidy. The hotel Internet is excellent and if you book direct or are a Marriott rewards member this is free.
The bar and restaurant (Carlucios) are great and the on site gym and spa and very good for a hotel.
The staff are very helpful and will go out of their way to help where possible.
I would have no concerns about recommending the Marriott Regents Park for business stay or a short break.

Hotel looks a bit dated from the outside, but the inside was very nice. The room was clean, with modern decoration and very comfortable beds. Free parking and a short walk to Regent's Park, or Primrose Hill which has good views of the London skyline.
The only reason for not giving it 5 stars was because the cooked breakfast buffet was a bit cold. Not sure why this was as we were one of the first to sit down?

Very clean and comfortable hotel with great staff. The location is not perfect if you are trying to be in the center of London, but it is about a five minute walk to the nearest station and you can take the Tube wherever you want to go from there.

Let me say first that we are Marriott Bonvoy members and will stay at a Marriott if there's one where we travel to. Having said that this is a gem! It is in a quiet beautiful part if the city which makes sleeping easy. The building is a great mid-century (20th) style. There are rooms with actual balconies!, something almost never seen these days. There's a fabulous italian restaurant with bar in the lobby and room service with a reasonable tray charge. There's also a small store for snacks, gifts and forgotten items. One of the best M Clubs for Bonvoy members (look into joining as it easily is one of the best hotel rewards programs) which provides breakfast, snacks all day, deserts and wine in the evening. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay relaxing and worry free. Wonderful linens and comfortable beds are just the start. Also if you need to get around there's always a London taxi waiting out front. My apologies for not taking more pictures but I was on vacation.

We stayed at the London Marriott Regents Park for a few nights during a business trip. The rooms have plenty of space and the service is great, as we've come to expect at Marriott hotels. The M Lounge breakfast is good and the gym and pool are very nice.

It's a very comfortable hotel with family rooms (two double beds) available. The hotel staff are very kind and helpful, making sure your stay in London is smooth. The Elite member lounge is well maintained with a hearty breakfast provided to start the day. The hotel is in a quaint location yet a few minutes from Swiss Cottage station (on the Jubilee line). This makes getting into central London very easy. This is a fantastic hotel for holiday or business trips to London.

Very good. The rooms are clean and 100% as shown in the photos. The swimming pool and the gym (+++) are better than in the photos.
Good location 7 min walk from swiss cottage station. M&S, Subway, Mc do, Glacier shops at 10/12 min.
Only one point of improvement, the welcome / reception by a Canadian who speaks English with a rather inaccessible accent and very approximate French and no additional explanation (pay and shut up ...)

"Close to park/subway/zoo."
Indoor swimming pool and Gym are good. Jogging or walking in the nearby park is also great. The subway station is close. You can walk to KFC and McDonalds. The zoo is close so you can walk.

"Recommended for family travel."
Very close to Swiss Cottage station so transportation was very convenient. Breakfast was good and the beds were very comfortable. The gym is also relaxing and the indoor swimming pool is great. The toilet is a little narrow.
