Outage in the QEW to Lake Ontario between Winona Road and east of Fifty Road of Stoney Creek affecting 879 customers has been happening on regular basis and too often. All alectra does is communicate that they are investigating instead of fixing the core problem. This is simply unacceptable.
Paid my final bill on my old property only to be sent another notice more than a month later claiming I owe more money and they sent it to collections before giving me a chance to contact them, the letter was only printed 10 days before they tried putting a lien against my new home and it was sent by regular mail so how did they expect me to receive it in time.
They are crooks and I can't wait to be off-grid in my new home.
I would rate them ZERO stars if possible. 12 weeks to upgrade a residential home to 100amp service is flat out pathetic. Worst customer service EVER. I had to use twitter to finally get a response from them. PATHETIC!
The system the company has in place to report a power outage is very poor
Do not waste your time. Just wait till the final figure it out and check the website at least 15 minutes later for a eta on repair time
Honestly I have never had an issue. Most people won't have issues if their bills are paid on time and you show the customer service representatives respect!!

It's totally incredible how often the power goes off in Waterdown. I swear the icons on the microwave and stove clock reset buttons are worn off.
Every customer service rep will give you a different answer to your question. Then you ask to talk to a manager and they just keep you on hold. Then they say the manager will call you back and no one ever does.
Second outage in 2 days lasting several hours this is completely unacceptable. Moved to this area less than a month ago already regretting it
