Comfortable hotel for the family or business. Great staff. Nice breakfast buffet
Comfortable hotel for the family or business. Great staff. Nice breakfast buffet
The environment of the hotel is made up of large apartment buildings without character. There isn't much to do nearby. Room prices are high.
The room was perfectly clean, the bed comfortable and a European electrical outlet available (no adapter needed).
I ve stayed and several Marriotts through the city (Maida Vale and Marble Arch) and I have to say for the price this is one the nicer and better located within a city. The lounge is really convenient on the ground the floor.
Magnificent hotel, and the rooms one last ... The super friendly staff and the breakfast buffet, very varied ... I loved it. I would repeat without a doubt.
Pretty close to the Swiss cottage underground. The rooms are large. The restaurant is not from Marriott so no membership discounts. Not many breakfast options nearby.
Good service , good food . Room was a good size ,modern and clean. Bathroom was also clean and modern xx
Excellent hotel, great service, good rooms and a good location.
Great service! Room is comfortable and the atmosphere is beyond what l thought it could ever be
Very good employees very friendly and attentive, breakfasts with lots of variety and quite quantity I strongly advise this place.
WONDERFUL BABY SWIMMING CLSAS WTH EXCELENT CHSNGING FACILITES.COUPLED WITH EXCELLEN ALL DAY CAFE
Attended a meeting and their meeting room and the room was very modern with all IT facilities available
Nicely updated hotel. Decent size rooms. Nice hotel bar. Far from the airport though.
Best Hotel!!! Always mets their standards!! Nice chain
The room was nice, and the people were friendly. The hotel terrific, but there were problems. The restaurant in the hotel is Carlinos, and we ate there once. The pizza that we had, was the worst I have ever had. Vertually everything else on the menu was loaded with cheese. Couldn't eat anything there. There is a bar in the hotel lobby, but there is no table service available. There were two bar tenders filling orders for the restaurant, everyone else was on their own. Glasses were left all over the tables. Very disappointed in how long it took to get a drink.
Great hotel,
Very friendly helpful staff!
Nice hotel with good lounge bus stops almost outside not too convenient for the tube.
They handle the crowds, events, and stress well at this property. The pool is clean and the restaurant is surprisingly good for being inside the property. Rooms have been remodeled and are nice.
Nice hotel very well located. Easy to get into town centre ( Oxford Street etc) and into north western suburbs. Also good dining, shopping in the immediate area
Room smelt awful. A member of the clearning staff came to check it promptly and agreed it was bad, explaining it was due to damp (not stale smoke as we'd initiially thought). They were unable to move us and so we had to stay put with french door open all night as the air con made not difference.
In the bar we watched mice creeping out from under the settee to eat nuts that had fallen onto the floor. We told the bar staff who gave a knowing smile and said they'd report it.
Disappointing stay and not impressed by the staff's reactivity or attitude to put things right.
Second time we stayed there and will stay overnight. Great location and parking possibility.
Hotel is ok (not great), but ruined by the breakfast situation. It s pretty standard for hotels to charge insane prices, but usually you get some service for that. Almost 20 pounds for a sub-standard buffet breakfast and a cappuccino in the British fake-Italian chain Carluccio s? I ll pass this hotel from now on.
Extortionately expensive, restaurant staff are stroppy and non-efficient, far from city centre, and mediocre rooms
Great location, next to Swiss cottage underground station. Great reception service. Good bar and restaurant.
Well placed (close to the subway). Excellent staff. Clean, tidy, well equipped rooms. Excellent breakfast. Worth every penny. Did I mention the excellent staff?
The staff at the counter is cordial and welcoming, close to the MRT station, the transportation is convenient, the breakfast room is clean and comfortable, it is recommended
I stayed at the Marriot in 2016 and 2017. In 2016, the executive lounge was on the top floor, and had a deck with a view. We were very happy with our stay then. In 2017, they moved the executive lounge to the lobby floor - it wasn't the same. We were disappointed. Next time we're in London, we will look for other accommodations.
Wouldn't stay here again. The staff are lovely. But our room that was ready for us wasn't ready at all. Another room given. The changing rooms for the spa are dreadful. I feel that all hotel guests should be given robes in their rooms to wear down to the spa. The pool was full of kids having swimming lessons....not great and certainly not peaceful. The lounge is like a bun fight, the layout is terrible, the county hall is so much better.
A great hotel for business. Very efficient and well
Only serves the beer Peroni but provides a really great place to sit and enjoy some peace and quiet
Attended for a conference, great venue good food, service. Etc.
Only problem is that it doesn't have a pool.
Otherwise it is good not great.
Was just here for the carluccios. Waitress messed up a few drink orders but service was otherwise friendly and food was standard.
We were greeted with complimentary water bottles and very friendly staff. The rooms are quite nice and the breakfast buffet has countless options (including freshly made crepes!) The hotel is very conveniently located for public transit as well.
Terrible front desk on evening . I came in very late looking for a place to stay. Nothing available so I asked to put my luggage inside, to stay safe as a single female traveler, to make some calls and try find another hotel. I was told I could only sit inside for 5 minutes at most. I think Marriott should be ashamed for asking a single female traveler to wait outside of their lobby on the streets. You should really look into that.
Very friendly help staff thank you guys i am at and not aloud freedom of speech but the hiys there are great
Enjoyable, quiet hotel with nice amenities. Clean and spacious. Located quite centrally so it is easy to get around. Close to the Roundhouse, Abbey Road Crossing and Lord's Cricket Ground.
It is a nice hotel and very modern, the bed had a cool decoration (there is a photo to look at it) staff are okish and yea maybe returning in the summer holidays
Friendly staff! The upper floors are still very much in need of a refresh (but it's in progress). Our beds were quite soft, but we heard there were new ones coming. The concierge team are knowledgable, and friendly but are very much into self serve options (be prepared to be given instructions rather than assistance).
The lounge is well stocked, and the wait staff are outgoing and very personable.
The hotel is nice, but the quality of breakfast is very low and the room was not very clean. There is another Marriott that is very close and is much better.
Very classy. Entirely recently renewed. Kind service. Short walking distance to the tube. Super accommodation: indoor pool and fitness center.
Great service, very pleasant staff and amazing location, I'm a very lucky eater but
absolutely loved breakfast choices
We checked in on the 3rd October, to celebrate my birthday and our 2nd year wedding anniversary. Upon check in we were greeted by a Russian lady receptionist who was superb. The best receptionist iv ever met. My husband had booked a deluxe room, and requested firm pillows.
As the lady checked us in and learnt of our double celebration, she offered to upgrade us. We were pleased to hear this and accepted. When we got to our room #248 I was very disapponted. The room looked very odd, the bathroom drains stank, the sofa was torn, there was no red runner across the bed, the bed itself was lumpy/bumpy and not the classic comfy Marriot bed, no bath mat in the bathroom, tea cups still had lipstick on them from the previous guests, it was shocking. As it was my birthday and determined not to get looked in waiting for various in house services to rectify the issues, we quickly changed and proceeded into London for all the activities we had booked. I have stayed in Marriott in LA, San Franciso, New Castle, Heathrow Marriot countless times, but this room did not meet the Marriot standards upheld by all the other sites and in turn certainly didn't meet mine.
The lady at the reception was terrific and even organised a bottle of wine to be sent up in the evening which was a lovely touch.
I am however a little upset about the condition of the room and felt I had to give this feedback. I feel that as a result, in future I may consider a different group of hotels, as clearly standards cannot be upheld which is a hassle I would rather not deal with.
We were left questioning whether we should have accepted the upgrade or stuck to our original booking?????
Thanks
Arjun & Dawn Shah
The appearance of the building doesn't look hotel but cheap terraced house even though inside of the room is not bad. The breakfast buffet was one of the worst buffet that I ever had. Don't waste your money on food in this hotel.
I had issue with my booking. I mistakenly booked the night before that I actually needed. But my (wrong) booking was made around 9pm on that night. As would be easily imagined, they unlikely lose money from my booking. However, they charged me full price for the wrongly-made booking and provided no discount for new booking that I had to make for the night that I needed plus 31 GBP parking fee. I'm a Silver member and from my memory I spent around 30,000 USD on Marriott hotel for my stays for the last 5 years. Staff was not helpful and hotel is surprisingly greedy.
I submitted complaint about this to check if I can pay the wrong booking with my reward point and currently waiting for their resolution. Subject to the conclusion to my complaint, I may not return to Marriott. There is better Hilton hotels in London
Excellent service. Lovely hotel. Exactly what I wanted. Also lovely to have a Carluccio's downstairs, breakfast was phenomenal.
Housekeeping and Elite services are below other Marriott hotels standard.
Great Hotel in a quiet place and 20 min away from center
Clean to stay but does not provide so many facilities
Stuff are friendly
Away form city center, nothing to do near hotel, but cheap one
Superb hotel competitive prices all amenities you could wish for.
Perfect for a stay in central London. Comfortable beds, nice indoor swimming pool with sauna and steam room. Looks like it's been recently refurbished.
Super hotel with very friendly accommodating staff. Breakfast was fab
We absolutely love staying here. Amazing staff and very comfortable rooms with a great view of London.
Hotel booked through booking. Very nice family room with 2 beds. Very comfortable bedding Too bad the beds are not King size. Despite its small size, the bathroom is very functional. Room facing the main street, a bit noisy! Swimming pool not tested. Clean hotel.
The hotel is very well located, a few hundred meters from a metro station which serves the city center well. You can walk to Camden or to Regent Park.
Very disappointed however with the restaurant. We wanted to have dinner one evening. After half an hour, no one had come to take our order, or offer us to order drinks. The restaurant was full but it's a shame not to see that customers have been waiting for so long. We left unchecked, just the excuse that the restaurant is full.
Breakfast is decent but nothing exceptional.
Lovely hotel with very attentive staff members on hand.
A great hotel with a good accessibility to London center. Just 5 min. Walk from the Swiss cottage tube station, this hotel offers good size rooms, great amenities and a very good breakfast on the hotel's restaurant. I would definitely return on my next visit!
