To the people leaving negative comments. Keep them to yourself. No one wants to hear about it. Anyways, the library and staff themselves are perfectly fine. Have had no troubles so far. Computers and resources are easily accessible as well as carparks and personal study areas. The library also provides various workshops throughout the week for all ages which I think are awesome.

Thank you Logan City Council for the library

Went to the library to do some work on the computer. while I was there was verbally abuse by a male islander man. was called a fat pig and that I was disgusting, threaten to hit me. While this was happening library staff stood behind the desk and looked on no attempt to assist me. Not even the secruity was no where to be seen at the time. minutes later he enters the library with his brought lunch. Asked the library staff if I could use the phone to call the police for my safety because they weren't going to help me. They hesitated to let me call the police. but then let me use it if it was a bomb the bomb would of went already for them to decide. The staff behind the desk don't assist people more like a chore to them. No wonder woodridge has this reputation. I think I would stick to library at springwood. I dont think I would return to this library again. Unsafe, staff are unwelcoming, rude, helpless. Staff needs more training on customer service, learning Code Of Conduct in a work place. if there unable to do there job what are tax payers paying for crappy service. I work in a hospital and never would it cross my mind to treat patient in a disrespectful way, or saying no to patients when they need assists. Work environment is terrible and needs to improve

It's true what people say, we never remember the good things we experience, just the bad, I suppose you can say that if you're not being mentioned or talked about, you're safe and all is good in the world. And with that, my review on Logan Central Library is one of harsh truths. I believe, for someone to work in retail or customer service, you must possess excellent customer service skills. Because, at the end of the day, it's the people who walk through your doors every day, who decide how good your reputation is.
My experience: My two children and I came down to the library to use the computers. Because it was early, and therefore not busy, we were able to use a computer each lined up next to each other. About 10 min in to playing on the computer, the rudest librarian (short blonde wavey bob cut who wears glasses) came up to my son (who is aged 6 by the way) and pushed his hand away from the keyboard, muted the sound on his computer (which was only playing quietly anyway), mumbled something like, it's too loud, all the people (and at this stage there were only 4 people using computers) can't concentrate (!!) and then walked away out to the back room before I could say anything, leaving my son sitting there crying like HE HAD done something wrong. Who does that? What an absolute bully! She could have asked me to ask him, hell - she could have asked him nicely and he would have happily done what she'd asked but instead she used bully tactics.
That all happened at 9.30am - good luck with the rest of your day lady! If your attitude is anything to go by, it's going to be a very LONG day!
