Spacious modern rooms. Many of the rooms have great views. Beautiful pool area and indoor waterfall . Friendly, helpful staff. Food and drink prices are a little on the high side.
.
I didn't have a 4 star experience in this resort! There were bugs in the room, the tub was not cleaned, room decor was dated. However the personal was friendly.
Great room with a great view. Enjoyed the Fire and Ice poolside bar. This was my third or fourth time at TLFS and it's always a positive experience.
Great place, undergoing some remodeling right now so a little rough but look forward to coming back when that is finished!
Beautiful resort. Bathtub needs to be updated to match the rest of the room, it has a slow drain, so you are standing in ankle deep water after a quick shower. Room service is very responsive and the food was delicious! Parking was easy, staff was very nice. Lovely place overall.
Not as much to do as they advertise in off season. The movie theatre was not manned and the movie that was supposed to be playing wasn't running. Went to the arcade and change machine was only taking $1s and $5s. Didn't want to swim in the lodge since the rooms were booked and we had to stay in the Avilas. Who wants to have to go outside in the freezing cold to get back to their room after a swim? The first night, it took 6 hours to get the extra blankets we requested. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice, but definitely not worth the price.
The overall stay was alright. The rooms were very clean. The service from employees was nice and sincere. The shower did not work as it should have though. There was not enough water pressure for it to work correctly. Also, the elevators weren't very good. One of them broke and was no longer in use after the first day. And the second seemed to be on its last leg. Other than that, I had no complaints about the stay.
We always sneak into the pools every year.
Been doing it for two decades now and haven't been caught once. lol
We really like this place and often come down and spend money at the Spa or in the bars.
They booked us in Seaside Building which was horrible. I literally called the front desk after reach issue. I could not open my door with ease (my children were on the inside and I couldn't open the door), no microwave or fridge to store things, no hot water, shower handle got stuck, a/c wasn't properly working in 100 degree weather, not enough accessible parking, terrible communication on the hotels end. These were not the same rooms that were advertised online upon booking, oh and if you want a refrigerator you have to pay $20 per night
Beautiful Lakeview room. Balcony view is awesome. View from Avila suites
Place is old dusty and over priced.. Had fun with the other guest poolside and fireside though..
Most of hotel is quite beautiful. The rooms are updated but certain features are dated. The door on our bathroom was painted and the veneer was chipping away as the door was running on the frame. The baseboards were not dusted behind the bedside table. The bathroom walls look like they need to be cleaned or touched up with paint.
Staff is welcoming, the breakfast was great. The pool area is nice.
We would love to come again when it's warmer but the price is hard to swallow.
Not good! Room was dirty, couldn't get into WiFi, rooms heat either was too hot or too cold, pool cold, front desk staff unattentive
Great service, great food, had a wonderful time and the property is amazing and beautiful.
this resort is not a 5 star but little more than 3 star average because it is a great resort but some things can be changed overall this is a great resort to stay at and from jefferson city 54 west then exit highway 254 right on the pkwy to get there the bangle dam blvd is 5 minutes longer way slower prettier but shorter distince about 3 hours outside saint louis
We went her skiing there. Everyone at the shop was nice and informative. It was a very welcoming experience.
I love going there because the pools is always clean
We stayed in the new Avila Luxury Villa's. When they say "LUXURY" they do mean it. From the multi room suite, the full kitchen with granite counter tops, the multiple flat screen TV's, the jetted jacuzzi tub & separate very large walk in shower, needless to say- we definitely had a very nice and relaxing time. The resort it's self is very large and offers many amenities. Multiple pools, Multiple dining options, a marina, and even a movie theater, just to name a few. Since we were there for memorial day weekend- we were able to view a nice firework show. A nice kick off to summer. We did very much enjoy ourselves and look forward to returning in the future.
Room was not very clean the bathtub had hair in the drain and a dried rag over the shower rod and spiders in the tub didn't look like it had been clean had hair stuck on the wall of the shower for the price it should have been better
Friendly staff, comfortable, professional environment.
Amazing view, nice accommodations, great ambience. With a free movie theater, nice indoor/outdoor heated pool. Only wish they had a public hot tub.
Could improve in the following areas:
Check in Process: This was just bad timing. We checked in late Sunday afternoon along with at least 100 other people (no exaggeration). The hotel was hosting several conferences and not equipped for that many people to arrive all at once. After standing in an incredibly long line, the room was not available so we had to come back once the room was ready and stand in line again an hour later with even more people
Room condition/maid service: We LOVED our room by the pool and it was worth it to pay extra, approximately $220/night; however, there was black mold growing in and around many of the grout lines in the shower. We did not mention anything as this was not hazardous mold, just the kind that results when a shower is only wiped down and not scrubbed with any type of cleaner after continuous use. The maid came early every day so that was a plus for us, but half the time she didn't restock anything and when she did, she wouldn't leave enough (eg: restocking 1 K cup, replace TP on the roll, but not leaving a back up, take old towels, but not replace with new ones, etc...). We repeatedly had to call to make requests. When we did, those things were ALWAYS brought immediately. But for this price point, I would expect basic things to be restocked daily.
Staff in General: About half the time, the staff were great. The other half of the time, you got the impression that they really didn't want to help you and just wanted you to go away. We loved the poolside bar and I didn't order wine, but that was due to the individual plastic containers of it sitting out in the sun all day. When we asked the bartender, he agreed that the wine was probably ruined and that's not where they usually keep it, but the same containers were still there the next day. I'm guessing it didn't taste very good.... We also utilized and loved the jet ski rentals; however, staff there didn't seem to want to engage us either. They seemed eager to send us away and answered most of our questions by repeating that we should take a brochure and call the number listed there. When we asked if it was possible to make a reservation at the store, they said we could, but that they really preferred we call the other number and provide all of our information by phone as "It's a lot of information for us to have to type in the computer." Those are just some examples, but again, the other half of the time, staff were friendly and welcoming!
All of that being said, we have been to this resort before and will definitely return. We checked out Camden on the Lake and Margaritaville and have no interest in staying at either location. Despite being sold out on numerous nights of our vacation, it never seemed overly crowded and the grounds and view are breathtaking. I'm already looking forward to next year. It's a resort on the lake and in order to stay poolside and within short walking distance of everything we upgraded; I was just disappointed that I'm able to stay at chain hotels for a hundred dollars a night less and get better service.
Great place to have fun. Plenty of recreational activities and the room was relaxing. Time for some upgrades, but I didn't mind much.
Love the property and staff was as friendly and accommodating as can be!
Several hateful staff members over shadowed the good ones. Elevators are rickety. Although the food was excellent it was also expensive.
A bit dated but that just adds patina to this historic luxury spa and hotel.
I attended the Second Annual Wingfest here. They have a large exhibition area that can house many people comfortably. The event was handled very well.
Friendly service and plenty to do. It's a little scetchy. Me and my friend got lost going down endless hallways that all looked the same and somehow ended up in front of a short staircase that lead absolutely nowhere. When we first arrived we were told to go outside to find the door to the building our where our room was and accidently entered the exsecutive offices! We quickly hurried back out and then proceeded to go into the place where the sheets were washed. Somehow we found a staircase leading out of this place and found our room. Though the staff was friendly, I only saw staff behind the front desk.
Had some issues on arrival with my room, which they fixed. Then another issue that they fixed... Then another issue that they fixed. I was happy with them fixing but was just underwhelmed with the cointinuious issues...
We got a really great deal at this resort. It has a full sized movie theater. Indoor outdoor pool was a little too cold on our visit. Fun game room for the kids and a really cool indoor fire pit.
It's a beautiful resort with a variety of room styles. It has great access to the lake, a clean pool, and lots of great events during holidays.
Never have I received so little for so much. You can't adjust the temperature in the rooms. They don't allow outside alcohol in, yet have one of the worst serviced bars that I have ever been to. I will admit that the bed was comfortable, but I would of slept better outside on the ground due to how hot the room was.
beautiful Lodge aVilla Suites were amazingly huge the pool was small service was exceptional
The staff Is great, clean rooms,3 pools massive hot tub, plenty of food options at the hotel. I hardly even leave the hotel when i come here
I love this hotel so much, it has a waterfall, indoor pool, 2 outside pools, and more! I recemend a vacation here. Have a nice day!!
Holy cow has this place changed! Built like three decades ago and had been turning into a real junker. I don't know if under new management or what but it seems that for about the past year they have been gutting the entire facility and upgrading. I had the PLEASURE (used to not be able to say that) of staying here as a gift from a local band and from check-in to check-out the entire experience was top notch.
Great hotel and amenities. Breezes breakfast and as an amazing surprise, as the complimentary breakfast was awesome. Rooms were dated, but very clean and in great shape. Hotel offered a great atmosphere, even in the off season.
We attended a wedding. The wedding was held outdoors with Lake scenery in the background. It was beautiful. The dinner and dancing were also held outdoors this was also great. The food was great.
We had several guests get locked out of their rooms due to faulty lock mechanisms. This was EXTREMELY frustrating. One of the rooms I booked had something disgusting smeared on the wall.
Our party was split between several buildings despite booking the rooms a year in advance.
Absolutely stunning grounds and rooms. Pleasant friendly staff and a beautiful view.
Was partially shut down due to Covid but staff was nice, facilities were nice and the views were incredible. I was there for a business meeting, but spoke to my wife about it and we may come here for a mini vacation
I really like the facility and its atmosphere. All staff I've encountered are very pleasant and accommodating.
It was our first time to stand there and everything was great
Great place to stay. Beautiful views and a sense of hospitality you'll only find in the Midwest
When we booked this it was not made clear that it was for a Seasons Bay room. It's clearly misrepresented on the website! We were very disappointed in the quality of the room. Small, outdated, not very clean, our shower didn't work and the door handle to the balcony was falling off. We asked for a new room and the 2nd room offered smelled badly of weed which with 2 young children is totally unacceptable. They claimed to be booked an unable to upgrade us neither offered to compensate us in anyway...poor customer service. Finally, they came up with a 3rd room still small and outdated but at least had a working shower and safe doors but still no offer to make things right. The main pool is very dirty as well. This place is definitely not the quality you expect with the name Four Seasons and we would never stay here again nor recommend to anyone!
This used to be the jewel of the lake of the ozarks but it is very run down. Still a beautiful location but lack of attention and maybe Covid have left it in bad shape.
Didn't like the place didn't like the setup like to set up they charge you for indoors when you're outdoors and because it's on the same side of the road as the building they call it indoors yeah.
Love the renovations! Great food at a conference I attended!
Wonderful vacation spot. Beautiful scenery, spacious rooms, and helpful staff.
Everyone was very helpful! The rooms were clean. Staff was awesome! Front desk lady (older lady) as she called herself, was the best. KUDO'S to her 10 Gold stars!!!
Very helpful, very knowledgeable, I am handicap, and she made me feel at easy, and very welcoming to the hotel.
Great place to stay, would have give 5 stars But elevators were REALLY hot and wifi dropped out on our hallway for about an hour...not great when your hotel is full of network administrators there for an event.
The only reason the stay here was five stars was Ryan the world class bartender at Fire and Ice Patio Bar. After failed communication from resort manager about the reasons hot tub was closed. Ryan saved the evening with a couple of drinks right before closing time of 11pm, to make it all good.
The pictures of the rooms are from twenty years ago. This place is crying for a renovation. Don't stay here because it's not what you expect from a four seasons.
I only visited the lobby and restaurant, however they were very clean and nicely decorated. Prices at the restaurant where on the rather high side.
Enjoyed our stay. Pool, spa, atrium, roof top patio, etc.
Very nice place although last time we were there it looked like they were renovating
The servicebwas great everyone was friendly and accomadating rooms clean food was great
So, we arrived and went to our room. Check in was simple. Not much parking close to the building. The elevators sounded like death traps. They make a lot of noise and one of them starts opening the doors before it is completely settled. They also smell awful. They smelled the same our whole stay. We get into our room and it looked nice. I always look at the sheets and pillow cases when I get to a hotel because there have been times I would get in bed and see yellow stains, black marks, and other people s hair. Anyway, so one of our pillow cases was YELLOW, compared to the really white ones. One of the other pillows had black stains on it. So, we went down to the front desk because we were leaving anyway and told the lady here and she said she would have housekeeping change the whole bed. So we come back and I look at the pillows and the yellow pillowcase is still there and there is now another pillowcase with a different stain/marking. I leave it be and don t use that pillow because it is late and I m just tired. So, it was 68 degrees in our room. We tried and tried to get the heat to work. It would not kick on. My husband called the front desk and it rang and rang and no one answered. He waited and called again and someone finally answered and we were told how to normally turn it on, which we had already done. Then they said that is all they know. So we waited to see if it came on. A while later my husband went downstairs to talk to them and they said engineering was gone and wouldn t be back until morning. They said they could move us to another room but it was after 1 am and we had a lot of stuff. Also, it was our anniversary trip so I requested a room with a lake view and the other room they had was not one. Also, the hot water in our sink did not work our first night and the shower took a long time to get hot, I m talking 10 minutes or more. So we slept in 68 degree temps which is pretty cold in a hotel room when it s cold outside. Maintenance did come the next morning and fix it. He was talking and said he understood that my husband was the father of the bride and my husband said no I m the husband and the guy looked confused and my husband said this is our anniversary trip and the man was like oh how long have you been married and my husband said 4 years and the man said oh I m sorry to hear that ???? Then he was like well that didn t come out right but....then said he needed to wait for the heat and left the room for a minute. Weird cat. The jacuzzi was very nice but burned my eyes when sitting close to the jets, like a chlorine burn. The TV was large and had a good picture. I know the rooms were renovated but the paint could have been done better. There were big spots of paint on the walls near the ceiling. The door frames were poorly painted. Overall, I would not stay here again and it was not worth the money. You also pay a resort fee, I definitely did not feel like I was in a resort. The staff was also very aware it was our anniversary and I saw that other customers received a note and strawberries so imagine my disappointment when we did not get any.
The lady that checked us in at the front desk, I think her name was Betty, was so kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to go again.
I love everything about The Lodge of Four Seasons. We are Four Seasons residents (locals) and the entire staff always goes out of their to take excellent card of us, regardless where we are on the property. Whether it's in HK's, attending a function there, in the gift shop, or over at the golf courses ... the staff is top notch!
Pristine condition upon arrival, First class staff and amenities. Reasonable price, superb view. Gorgeous dock!
It's fine, five stars as a hotel but the as a resort.
I love the place, a very nice get away to enjoy every perks especially the condo and suites. Especially the balcony and fireplace! The only thing that I didn't like was little kids playing on our doorbell during our 4 day stay which we should have reported it but we didn't because they ran each time we saw them.
Wow stayed at the Avila suites had an amazing room with a Jacuzzi tub was a little disappointed that the jets didn't work. Was there for a conference and the staff were all amazing truly went above and beyond for us. I would go back in a heartbeat!
Beautiful hotel. Stayed for a wedding. It was okay if you don't mind getting locked out of your room repeatedly because your key cards stop working. Happened to several of the guests in our party. Luckily maintainence was quick and friendly, wish they would have solved the problem though, it was a continuous issue throughout our stay. Also I wish housekeeping would check drawers when they clean out rooms so inappropriate and nasty items left by previous guests are not found by later guests.
Love the indoor pool and the free aqua aerobics classes are a GREAT plus!
First time here, room is nice but resort needs work. There are 3 different style doors in bathroom, our room was supposed to overlook lake but it was actually the outdoor pool.
Clean, comfortable beds, cozy, walk out patio area, delicious room service
