Omg simply amazing ambiance and food.
The food and servers here deserve a 5 start review But .....
the manger(who manages the server) was very rude
He was forcing us to sit on a particular table even when we were not comfortable there. It was disappointing
I understand if the restaurant is full we need to adjust but when tables were empty why were we forced
Later on he agreed and then we changed our table

Food options were great specially for me as i am a vegetarian and i had a variety to choose from.

And the cocktails were amazing
You should definitely try this place

Rice was hard not cooked properly. Told manager he said what do u expect its late. Didn't take off for my meal. He took $2.60 off. Rude as hell. Waitress couldn't understand us.

Set at the bar and had to move as the mat where they sit used cups to b washed has an enormous amount of nats swarming around.told the arrogant snobby bartender n she didn't care

First impressions matter and trying to get a stroller and baby up the escalator did not begin our dinner well. There is an elevator but I didn't see any signs for one when we went in. We had 2 adults and 4 kids and were told it would be 15-20 minutes. There were multiple bar tables open but were not available to sit in. We, thankfully, were sat quickly. Our server asked for our drink order after waiting for 5 minutes and then proceeded to comment that we were "only getting waters" (90 degrees in June). It then took her 10 more minutes to bring our waters all in glass cups, no cups with kids for kids). My 5 year old wanted the mac and cheese and the server said that would take at least 15 minutes so she should probably pick something else. At this point I felt the server would rather we leave than eat and had the kids not been starving I would have left. Our food came quickly and was good, however, we had no silverware. Drink refills took entirely too long as did the bill, we recieved it about 10 minutes after we asked for it. We will not be back and this is not what I would call a "family friendly" restaurant.

The food was outstanding and the drinks were delicious. The customer service was excellent. The decor was awesome too. We loved it. And honestly, it was reasonably priced. Vegan and vegetarian options available.

The best view in downtown and the food is amazing service can be a hit or miss some nights

Fresh prepped food in the middle of Gatlinburg. So good.

Good atmosphere if you are in small groups or with only adults looking to drink and grab food. I would not recommend for families and definitely not if you have anyone in a wheelchair. We have gone twice and been treated rudely both times. They attempted to seat us in places that we obviously could not get a wheelchair into and then told us our only other option was to sit at 2-3 tables. The hostess continually sighed and rolled her eyes as we tried to navigate him through the restaurant. A non family friendly restaurant in a family oriented resort town.

GREAT FOOD! BUT the service is always poor. Have been coming here for 4 year and always come back but I wish they would get on the ball with having good servers

Omg... we drive over 2 hrs to eat this heavenly sent Mexican food. It's well worth the drive for it.

Definitely worth the money, you get a whole lotta food, the queso is and a the burritos were the size of my forearm. There was also a photographer who took me and my girlfriends pic for a free postcard it was really awesome! @TheHollywoodPictures

One of my favorite places to eat in Gatlinburg. The food is always good and generous portions. Fun atmosphere and a welcome oasis after a long day of snowboarding or hiking in the Smokies.

Food was great.the rooftop was really cool.service was good also.

We visited Gatlinburg for the first time and thought the roof deck would be a fun place to hang out. We sat at the bar and everything was good until we saw one of the bartenders cleaning the glasses. They take glasses straight from the customers and clean them by rapidly dipping then in a "cleaning solution" then stagnant "hot" water and then cold water. This process took about 3 seconds and the glasses still showed finger prints and lip prints after they were clean. I confronted the bartender about this and he stated he's been in the business a long time (even though he couldn't have been more than 28 years old) and that's how 100% of the bars clean glasses. I know this is false and I immediately got my check and left this filthy place. First and last time I will ever go there!

Great place and food is amazing.

Would have rated it a 1 except for we ate on the roof deck and the atmosphere was pretty awesome. However, the food was absolutely terrible. The salsa was so watery you could have drank it through a straw. I had the chimichanga (my favorite dish) and it was so mushy and bland. My husband had steak fajitas (his favorite dish) and they were horrible. I could personally eat Mexican food every day of the week but I would never go back here to eat. Taco bell honestly would have tasted better! However the view up on the roof was gorgeous!

Roof top dining, great service, amazing vegan tacos and enchiladas. A must visit when a tourist in Gatlinburg.

There was a hair in my salsa, and the waitress claimed it was a shredded carrot, carrots aren't brown, long, and cannot be cut that thin. The food took forever to get to our table. They have Very poor service.

What can I say about this place? It was packed and the wait was only 11 minutes for a party of 6. I'm not much of a drinker, but the margaritas are really good. Then the food! I can't explain how much flavor there was. I didn't have to salt or pepper anything. The shredded chicken chimichanga was cooked perfectly and covered with a cheese sauce that had pepper and chorizo which gave out a hint of smoky flavor. Simply delicious. The rice has veggies in it for flavor and the bean and cheese was really good. Everything on my plate was perfect.

My family all ate well and all enjoyed their meals. It appears we have a new favorite spot to eat in Gatlinburg.

Best Tex Mex food in Gatlinburg! Great staff and atmosphere!

The food was good (and a bit pricey for typical Mexican grub) but the service was not. I understand it s busy in a tourist trap, but I felt there were more than enough servers to compensate - or at least enough that it shouldn t have taken so long to get a drink. While we waited on food, there was an employee going to each table taking pictures of everyone to then try to sell them for a hefty price. I don t know why anyone would want framed pictures of themselves eating chips and salsa at a tacky Mexican restaurant, but I found it a bit rude the photographer kept trying to sell them to us after declining. If you find yourself in Gatlinburg walking the strip and get hungry but don t want to wait for better options, Loco Burro is a decent spot to eat.

Food came wrong and when it returned correctly, it was cold. But the flavors were delicious. We sat on thw rooftop patio and the views were wonderful.

Best Mexican restaurant I've been to in awhile, except for one quirky thing. When I order nachos, I have in my mi d that there is ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes...You get it...on the plate. At this place, there is all of that EXCEPT for ground beef...confused...we asked. We were told that you have to order what you want on them, otherwise they come "naked". Strange. BUT, the margaritas and the food was divine. Great atmosphere and great service!!

The atmosphere was ok, the food was not satisfying, and it was way over priced. $61 dollars for three beers and three meals, and non of use could even get through a quarter of our food.

We went may 25, 2016 and it wasn't crowded at all. We sat at our table for 15 min and still no one came to our table. We got up to leave and the guy that just sat us just told us to have a good night. Don't you think he would have realized he just sat us why were we leaving early?. No one acknowledged us or told us to give them a few minutes. For the prices on the menu I expect better service than that.

More expensive than some other places that has the same food style.

Stopped in for drink chips and a quesadilla..chips we're crisp and light... Salsa was good.. But others may want more heat... quesadilla perfect.. Service excellent.... Will be back to try more

Great food and friendly staff. The bartender is generally overwhelmed so drink service can be slow, but it was a good atmosphere.

The food was amazing and so were the cocktails. Me and my brother even rode their mechanical bull.

Hands down THEE best Mexican food I've ever had!! They only serve two items on their menu that aren't freshly made in house. You wont be disappointed!

We stopped by early in the day about accommodations for a large group. Manager said it would be fine. When we arrived that evening, the rest of the staff said they did not know 20 of us were coming. They were rude and we left.

Good service and for the Gatlinburg strip experience this is a great place and great salsa but the food is just okay.

ROACHES (but more on that later)! Management is an absolute joke! Literally, pathetic! Kennedy concepts is the WORST company in Sevier county. They have numerous labor board and health code violations. They don't use ice scoops, the salsa that goes to everyone's table sits uncovered all day with all kinds of things falling into it, no one wears gloves, and the list goes on and on. Oh, and I have seen workers sticking their nasty, unwashed hands directly into the large containers of salsa, tasting it, sticking their fingers back in it, and then serving that to the numerous guests they will have that evening I wouldn't eat there if I was starving to death for fear of contracting at the very least food poisoning! Oh and ROACHES.....and I do mean the nasty bugs. And I don't mean a few here and there, I mean food left out all day and is never cleaned, nothing is ever thoroughly cleaned, so there is an infestation. I truly do not know how the health food inspector hasn't shut them down....I guess the owner is paying them off? Also, there are like 8 Hispanics working there with the same social security number and they know they are illegals! It is a shame, because the patio upstairs is beautiful and the bar outside is awesome, but DO NOT EAT AT LOCO BURRO unless you want to be sick!

This was the Best restaurant I'd ever been to. My server was amazing and I tried all of his suggestions and they we're delicious. I mean absolutely great service!

Terrible food and horrible staff. $24 tip was ridiculous to add to the $170 bill (which is unreal ... just food and 2 beers that mostly went in the trash. We will never return.

I would have given 5 stars but we had to wait for almost 50 minutes for seating. The restaurant has very nice ambiance. I liked the rooftop seating as well as the hut booths downstairs. We ordered steak chimichanga and fish tacos. The food was hot and served within time limit. The food and quantity was worth the price we paid :)

Way to expensive for mediocre food. Poor menu selection for both kids and adults. We were not impressed. $60 for a burrito, taco salad, cheese nachos, and a kids quesadilla. Not going back.

Food was amazing, wait times were unacceptable. I had to personally ask for two tables to be put together, and when we were seated, I also had to personally ask for a server to come to us.

Hiking 8 MILES UPHILL ALL THE WAY, the Platinum Margarita was SOOOOO worth it!

Julia was our waitress and was absolutely fantastic! The margarita was great, the homemade guac was fantastic and the nachos were totally good. We will definitely go back and specifically ask for Julia!!

Went there for dinner ordered the Houston asked to change chicken for cheese enchilada. Got the food after a good while and it has the chicken enchilada with it, the beef taco had already gotten soggy and the tamale tasted like cornbread around old bbq. And either the beef or the beans tasted like bad gas station chili. The waitress took the plate and asked what I would like, after rudely telling me nobody ever complained about their food. I then ordered a cheese enchilada, I received a cheese quesadilla. When I told her I ordered an enchilada, she flat out told me I was wrong, and asked what I wanted her to do about it, this BTW was an hour in to the experience. She had also switched another person at our table top sweet tea from unsweetened tea, but somehow it was inconceivable that I had indeed ordered an enchilada. She offered me a box for the quesadilla, signaling I was going to pay for it anyway. I said no to the box and paid the 10 bucks for this quesadilla just so I could get out of there. I don't have enough thumbs to put down.

It's World Famous!!!! That's what they boast. .. So you know it's awesome. It really was great great food!!!

Ate here our 2nd night in and loved it so much we went back for seconds. Best steak fajitas I have EVER had!!!!. Gone miss this place when we return to Michigan.
